The picture really does calm me down, though I've never touched snow or seeing real snowflakes, I've always been dreaming of this scene, since I was so young that I couldn't speak a word of my mother tongue I've already known what I am desperate for, the feelings resurfaced like this makes me feel more happy and reliant, and, actually it's the coldest winter now for the last five years,
I suggest that you listen to the masterpieces of other Russian composers, such as: Mikhail Glinka: Ruslan and Lyudmila, Overture (1842) Modest Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition (1874) Alexander Borodin: In the Steppes of Central Asia (1880) Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: Scheherazade (1888) Alexander Glazunov: The Seasons (1899) Sergei Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No.2 in C minor (1901) Scriabin: Poem of Ecstasy (1905-1908) Igor Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring (1913) Sergei Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet (1935) Dmitri Shostakovich: Piano Concerto No.2 in F major (1957) Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture (1880)

G'day! Love this collection of beautiful classical Baroque, Classical, Romantic, et al. music for this season. One curiosity I have is the final 3 selections by Tchaikovsky. They don't sound very much like Tchaikovsky to me, at least; more Chopinesque or maybe a more modern composer.
It does have a slightly melancholic feel, for a piece called "Andante Festivo". Ww wonder what was going through Sibelius's mind when he composed it. Such a beautiful piece of music - one of our favourites, actually. Thank you for listening 😊
