Loved this Alan, more in-depth run down of pedals and stacking please

You should be doing more of these , maybe focus on a specific song and run thru the delay setting , dirt settings etc . Would drive lots of traffic to your page and thus shows . People love digging into the gilmour sound and you have nailed it.

@@alantarpey5173 I will look foward to you doing these . Maybe show what pickup you are on , pedal order , settings etc . You will build up quite a large audience if you do one a week , maybe take requests etc to get your audience involved . Cover a specific album or era etc.

Oh please do this. Your Gilmour tone is absolutely killer. Side note: about to be subscriber 💯

Really interesting video! I tried wet/dry myself, which sounded awesome on stage but didn’t work as well as I’d hoped through front of house because successive sound guys didn’t get the balance right between the two amps - so my mix was always too dry. I’ve since gone back to a single amp, so that I can manage the delay/modulation levels myself via my presets. Always good to learn from other Floydy guitar players though! Thanks.

Thanks for the video. Any reason why you aren’t using the colorsound Power boost anymore?

Hi Alan, are you able to advise on a Gilmour board im having putting together. Gigrig are building it - but i have to source the pedals. Ive always used a Clapton strat and driven the amp with no pedals apart from amulti effects thing i had for a cover band when i had to play songs by multiple bands ( and a wah ). Be very helpful to have a chat. take care

Hi PAJ. My best advice would be to watch some videos on the excellent youtube channel called That Pedal Show. But in general you need to be researching pedal order and gain stages - stacking your gain pedals. For Gilmour I'd recommend at the very least you'll need a compressor, some sort of tube screamer, some sort of big muff, a flanger, and delay. Also, check out gilmourish.com it's a fantastic resource.
(And sorry for the late reply, I don't review my channel very often).

Alan, where in the signal chain does the Boss FS-7 foot switch go and what are you using it for?.....I didn`t see it in the wiring diagram.

It is connected to the ctrl jack of the DD500 and is used to move up and down through the banks.

Ciao Alan, interessante la teoria dei guadagni. Ti chiederei un consiglio.. La mia pedaliera inizia con CS3 - Boost Med Drive - Muff Whren cuff - BD2 - Dist Nabla 1987 - Phase - Flanger - CHORUS 1 - CHORUS2 - DELAY 1 - DELAY2 - REVERB .. Suona bene .. Ma non riesco a far fischiare il Muff... Cosa consigli ? Complimenti per il tuo lavoro. Un caro saluto

Are those fender noiseless pickups? If so are they vintage or hot? Thanks 🎸👍🙏

They're the stock noisless pickups that came in the 50th anniversary strat (vintage I think)
