STORYLINE:
27 men were recently deported from the United States to Haiti, their homeland, as part of the first wave of forced removals since the earthquake last year that destroyed much of Port-au-Prince.
25-year-old Serge Michel Dorval is having a hard time adjusting to his new surroundings, living in a tent in the middle of one of the largest refugee camps.
Most of the deportees future plans are murky, and they just wonder how they will survive.

These returnees will now be able to band together and help to make Haiti less grim.
Sure they will brian rodney! You can see ow motivated these young men are to help themselves & others.
LET THEM NOW "TAKE A KNEE"!!!
WHERE IS "BLACK LIVES MATTER" GROUP NOW?!?!
LET WHOOPI AND OPRAH GO CLEAN UP FOR YOU!!! 😡
Get the brown people too, one goes they all go. Even the whites without their papers gtfo
Yes, I feel bad that Haiti is still such a mess. But I'm also curious about these young seemingly healthy young men. What are they doing to improve the conditions? Yes, they stand in some water where the taps are. Did it occur to any of them to start grabbing rocks to make for a more stable & drier area? Yes, they're in tents. There are many people around the world who would be thankful for a free tent to live in. Guys, are you waiting for some woman to walk by & clean up your tent & wash your dishes? Have you gone into the city or even in the tent area & checked up on some of the older people & kids who are orphaned now to see if you could help them? Or, are you waiting for the US & other countries to come in & fix everything?
Stupid comment.
This was in 2015 Obama was president. I Only mention that because I read some comments directed at President Trump
They don’t matter.
Don't come back. Make Haiti great. Plant some fruit trees.
They cut them to make coal instead
Philippe Boursiquot Exactly. Then they come to come to our beautiful Dominican Republic and do the same thing.
Why all them think running from their own country and going to the US is the solution to their problems, stay in your own country, help your government!!
That what you get when u don't listen to the parents.
Rebuild your country.
This is what happens when They don't listen to their parents and they think shit is all good and copying American blacks they give you a reality check
Why should people in Haiti care for deportees they had opportunities and blew it very well deserve if you misbehave that's the consequences pay your dues
Amen
Selfish ass comment, it’s Haitians like you and the ones that agree that won’t allow haiti to advance. So what they were deported they lived better than 90% of the population a more appropriate comment is to have them volunteer have them teach a piece of the American education they received and took for granted. You are no better than them. You make mistakes too just haven’t been caught in the midst of your acts. Gen le Ou Se Sel ayisyen ki tap manje na palman, pou vin panse’w pi important pasè yon deprotè. Respect your people and your country. You don’t feel shame that your occupying and helping develop a country that don’t belong to you nor care for you just your works.
I didn't vote for trump, but I do agree with him on this!!, haitians, cubans, dominicans, any other illegals go through due process, or go home!!
Dominicans come legally.
This was under Obama.
Everyone is ok when the US does it. 😂 wait until the DR does it.
John lamb --Exactly
True.
Or the Bahamas

Or Jamaica.
Now you have a chance to make your country great again, so do it and stop complaining. You people have had time in the West to see how a government should work. Use that knowledge to build up your country.
Ummm you do realized that Haiti is in the west also right???
Happy for you guys learning a lesson and teaching others
They have a real advantage in that they speak English, which is very useful in getting a job in the tourist industry and working with NGOs. They should be grateful that they got to stay in the USA and benefit from that stay.
Welcome to hell
Maybe you should stop standing around and pick some of that shit up?
Life can change within the blink of an eye. He looked like a once upon a time big balla!
@Gary Mcguckin shut up
His bachelor pad......
THATS NOT OUR FAULT YOUR GOVERNMENT HAS TO HELP YOU GUYS. ASK YOUR GOVERNMENT ! ! !
It's our fault for the state Haiti is in.
They have a bit of a cultural problem, there is nothing wrong with being poor, but you should try to have a clean space.
Nothing wrong with being poor, are you serious? What a statement to say... You must be white.. And sound stupid..
@@leroysmith9832
I don't know what being white (Which I am not) has to do with anything. Prejudiced much???
I am not from US, (english is not even my first language), where people overdramatize about being poor, believe me , it doesn't even come close to being poor in a third world country like Haiti, or my country Chile in the 80s and 90s.
Leroy, I have been poor, me and my family, for an entire decade, before my father got a more stable situation. Many of the boys who grew up alongside me became criminals, many others did not. But at least, as a comunity we always tried to have a clean space, without trash all over the place, or ditches full of shit, we would dig a deep hole in the ground and built a wooden structure to crap, and when the sewer system arrived, everyone would dig his section to make the conection.
So what are you supossed to do? Hate yourself for being poor? Blame some "white" dude because that way you don't have to do anything but whine?
You are the one that sounds stupid and above else RACIST. Always remember, racism is not an exclusive trait of white people.
You'll do fine there
Oh wow
They love to.wave haitian flag an talk bout they proud, but when time to.go home it's time for.the sad stories, looking for pity party. One set of ppl who so proud but dont like to go home
Tough lesson. Should have followed the law.
Screw the laws
You are young men and it is up to you to make life better for yourselves, the women and your children. Stop complaining and get to work. You had an opportunity and you made mistakes but life continues. There is hope and opportunity regardless of the situation.
Retire vodou nan peyia pou peyi a avanse, SE SATAN. KI METE NOU NAN SA NOU YE LA
Why they complain? They work very hard to built what they have.
This is what happen when u don’t listen to your parents
" , who left Haiti as an infant, says he served two years in a US jail on cocaine possession charges, before being released."
He is an American, for sure ! Why he did not secure his citizenship ?
Instead of SITTING and COMPLAINING, Haitians, why don't you do whatever you can to make your country better.
Send food aid and bolster their security forces to stabilize the country. Then it can move forward. I'm sorry for their circumstances, but we cannot be the dumping ground for every humanitarian crisis and the resulting wave of immigrants. The thinking in this world needs to change from the expectation that "America will save us", to, "how do we fix our problem(s)?"
Gee, maybe it's because we've been screwing over the Haitians for years. Now we have an opportunity to help some of its people but we are just saying screw them.
The injustices faced by everyday Haitians on a global scale are heart breaking. They are paying for 1804 and many think it’s just fine.
Well, a lot of Anericans live like that now. Get your papers in order.
They are bringing their culture with them.
That’s why Dominicans don’t want them in their country
Government should help rebuild haiti
Lots of gun shots? Why would we want to import that? Why don't you not have kids for 5 yers?
Heavenly Father please help Haiti. They are people that have been victimized by the clinton Crime Family. Please Lord help them to restore their country. I have read all of the negative and hateful remarks people have typed. Some of the comments are so rude and insulting. Please Lord Jesus Christ have pitty on the victims of Haitti. It can be a Paradise if the Worlds wealthy would just have some compation for their fellow humans. In the name of your precious Son, Jesus Christ. Amen, Amen & Amen...
Make Haiti great instead of running away to another country.
Why make a haitian problem, a american problem,
Because like it or not, we share a blame for what happened to Haiti in the past.
Go back to the squalor they created.
How are Americans suppose to build the fastest supper computers to beat the Chinese without these Haitians ?
Guys tough up and deal with it. The problem is life was too good for you all in the US you were too comfortable therefore disrespected and violated the laws. There are consequences behind every actions so stop complaining get use to the poor life and work it to the top and help change Haiti. You guys should have thought about possible deportation before your whatever illegal ordeal. A lot of you leave Haiti migrate to the US never look and think back as if you've reached paradise so now you have returned to the place you dumped years ago. Haiti is a country like every other third world country with issues. Stop bad mouthing the country for everything. Roll up your sleeves and pants to work just like those other Haitian men women and children that are there struggling to survive. Life is tough in the US too because there is no such thing as easy life no matter how much money a person can have. Stop comparing Haiti with the US don't forget you were born in that same grim so instead use your US skills experience and knowledge to change that grim.
Haiti the U.S..A cannot save the world! My oldest brother was killed in Vietnam at the age of 21 my other brother and i did 10 years in the ARMY!! BUT FOR AMERICAN ONLY NOT FOR WHO EVER WANTED TO COME TO AMERICA THE U.S. AND MAKE IT THEIR HOME COUNTRY!
You're a tool and,so fucking lost...fighting for nothing. You don't even understand who the real enemy is,asshole.
And dont bring children in to the world!
Lucas stames you a racist bro do you know how many different gangs that do that other than them Hispanic Chinatown Japanese all kinds bro
He is cute ...yummy!
Fix your own country don’t wait for someone else to do your dirty work ! YOU ARE NOT WORKING OR DOING NOTHING . Clean you mess up ! !
