This honestly couldnt have come at a better time! I already have a detailed outline of my story done, and was disappointed that none of the ai tools i was researching days ago had this exact feature. I will now be using sudowrite. Thank you!
I wasn't sure about what to put in the genre box for mine, so. . . I asked ChatGPT! I loosely described what I could remember about some of the similar stories that I had in mind - even though I couldn't recall a single specific title or author - and ChatGPT pegged it as "treasure hunt fiction" and provided some popular examples, all of which confirmed that I had the right idea. I put "treasure hunt fiction" into the Story Engine genre box, and carried on from there.
Looks like an amazing tool for writing novels! The only thing that is holding me back of using this tool is the braindump text limitation. I have a detailed world building document that explains the characters and how the world works. Is there a way to import that information to Sudowrite? It would be quite annoying to make a lot of different 'chapters' to bypass this input limitation.
As far as burning my words, I'm not having that much of a problem because I have chat gpt. Since that's unlimited words, I use that one to really work out the core of my story outline and beats. I will use story engine for some of those things but I spend a considerable amount of time using Chat to build my beat sheets and really make sure I have them well constructed with specific instructions and guardrails. When I go all this work the output from the AI is fantastic. I can then really sit down and mold the draft it gave me until it is polished. I think you can really do a lot by working with these two systems and using them for their strengths.
I would like a class, along these same lines, I have developed the storyline, the outline, and even the beats, but would like to learn more about how to “engineer” the Beats box so that the AI can craft prose that I can then edit.
What if I have a 2/3rd completed first draft (40 chapters). What's the best way to use Story Engine to complete the draft? Can I paste in the chapters (without doing the Braindump/Synopsis/Characters/Outline), and SE will work forward. Probably dumb question.
This is cool. Will they offer a feature to download all of the input and output from Story Engine as a big plain text file? Otherwise, copy/paste even if with buttons is a lot of work. Thanks.
We can't say yet but, we're definitely improving SE for its official release. You can share suggestions and feedback with us directly from your account. Keep 'em coming!
I’ve ran into a few bugs, but the most annoying one is the error occurred while generating because it’s happened the most. I noticed that it only seems to happen while trying to generate commands or outline.
Each generation deducts the words that are generated. An outline for example is usually about 700-1,000 words. Prose writes about 200-400 per command/beat.
Unfortunately, we can't really speak to what a plagiarism check or AI detection tool might report. Each author forms their own methods of validation and editing for AI generated words. We definitely encourage our users to always validate and edit the words that Sudowrite writes.

This is incredibly helpful - I'm taking the class tonight.
This looks amazing, it will really guide the ai to where i want it without me having to struggle, really great video! 😍
Happy to hear that!
@@sudowrite4400 Quick question, will we be able to try it even with the professional membership?

Great ideas. Thanks.
Love the brain dump idea for worldbuilding. Will allow me to use my world-building for my science fiction world.

I just purchased the 90 k words subscription. But I cannot see the story engine. I bought it specifically for that. How do I get access to it?
Can you please post a video on how to write a short story using Sudowrite? Thanks.

I’ve ran out of words twice since I started using story engine.
We're glad Story Engine was able to help your writing so much!

Thank you for the feedback. We just rolled out a new feature today that includes pausing and resuming.
Do you have to have the max subscription for story engine?
You can have Pro or max.
How large is the consumption of words from the quota by the story engine?
Each generation deducts the words that are generated. An outline for example is usually about 700-1,000 words. Prose writes about 200-400 per command/beat.
How do I do a 4 book series please
The problem with the formula was the quotation marks =countA(split(C2," "))
Is SE suppose to be beta to all Pro and Max users or just the trial groups
It's still in Beta. You can request access through a DM on Slack.
1) Can i convert my 90 page screenplay into novel? 2) can it help in screenplay writing?
Hello! I have a question. I want to ask if by copy pasting all the content of our novel from sudowrite, we can pass plagiarism check and Ai detection.
Unfortunately, we can't really speak to what a plagiarism check or AI detection tool might report. Each author forms their own methods of validation and editing for AI generated words. We definitely encourage our users to always validate and edit the words that Sudowrite writes.
If I finish a story how do I save it?
Does it work equal good in other languages??
is the story engine available in the free trial?
No it's not. It's still on beta and only currently available on accounts with subscription.
@@sudowrite4400 It is now available in trial mode? Because I have it and I am in trial mode.
Do you offer PayPal as payment methode?
Not yet! We're very likely to support Paypal in the future but exactly when is something we can't guarantee yet.
Can you skip the brain dump and enter your own synopsis and scene summaries if you've already finished them?
You can skip brain dump and so long as you match formats, you can bring your own character list and outline.
