Depending on what time your tour is scheduled for, you can go on rides with the express pass before or after your tour. Your tour guide will have a plan, based on what your group wants to do through the day, but they will have a certain time for your lunch and studio tour. You can leave the tour if you like, but I would stay with the tour guide since it does make the experience a little more fun and they offer a lot of insight about the park.

It absolutely is. Especially since the unlimited express pass has been getting really expensive $150+. We were able to get our food, unlimited express, and the private tour include for pretty much the same price as it would be to buy the express pass itself

Thanks Ellie! You can enjoy the park before your tour starts. As soon as you check in, you get your VIP credentials and you can use the express pass right away. That is the one thing we wish we did
This is why its so small nd big lot because its easy md faster for them to give tours throught the day u can get on every ride in like 3 hrs nd have free time to chill too

Um, doesn't Universal have a theme park there like around Gold Coast or Melbourne? If they don't, they're crazy because their biggest rival, Disney, certainly doesn't have one there. I would definitely tell them to open up one in Gold Coast or Surfers Paradise.
Although it would be great for the people in Australia to get a park like that, there have been too many theme parks in Australia that have just not worked on a big scale. Universal would need a lot to bring a park of that size to Melbourne

Hey JosieJay! Great questions. After you check in, which can be at any time after park opening, you can start enjoying the park or hang out in the VIP lounge for breakfast. You are given your tour VIP Credentials at check in, which includes your Express pass. If you want to go straight out to the park, like we did, before your tour you can do that. Our tour started at 11am so we had a little bit of time before our tour to go on a couple rides. You can leave the tour at any time, but you are paying for the 6 hours so I would take advantage of as much as you can, at least until after the backlot tour. After that, it is mostly the tour going on different rides and learning more about the history of the park and studio. If you wanted to go off on your own then, you can do that. I believe we had an hour or so to eat lunch. You have the vip lounge for as long as you want until your reservation time. If the park opens at 9 and your reservation isn’t until 10:30, you can eat breakfast and hang out in the lounge until your group is called

I’m sure when you book it, you can request a Spanish speaking tour guide. It might not be guaranteed. We upgraded at the park so we didn’t see if that was an option

The tour guide brought us through nearly ever ride through the express entrance. There were a couple they left off due to time, but they gave us a chance at the end to go where we wanted on our own. Everyone rides together during the tour. Your tour guide will set up an itinerary based on what everyone wants to do. If there is something you want to see, tell your tour guide and they will make it fit in the schedule

There are some areas that prohibit photos or video, but the majority of the tour you can take photos or videos. It just essentially when you are near the soundstages that you can’t. As long as you don’t break any rules by filming where you are not supposed to, you can do whatever you want with the footage. Your tour guide will always let you know where you can and cannot film
My family and I went yesterday. almost $350 extra per person for VIP?!?! No thank you. We didn't need it. We basically walked onto every ride. The longest we waited was 20 min for transformers, and that's because they were having technical difficulties. I get the Extra backstage lot tour and that's cool, but $350 a ticket is to much. Total for our one day experience (wife, daughter, and I) was just under $400. Including tickets, gas, food and a $35 for a stupid stuffed unicorn my daughter wanted. With that price, we rode Every single ride ( some more than once) and saw both water world and the animal show, and of course did the backstage tour. Congrats on your guys trip, I just can't see spending and extra $1,000 on top of what we already spent (making it $1,400) to get any more of an experience. My tip, go on a weekday, there was almost no one there and we had no wait times. :) Thanks for the videos, cool to see others and their experience!
Glad you hear you had a great time! I know you went in a different time than we did. When we went in July, it was pretty busy and there were waits for everything. We were also looking for something different, because we have already done the regular team tour. Being huge movie fans, that where they new experience made it worth it to us. I’m glad you could go at a time where there was low crowds though. I think the value of the tour all depends on when you are going, and what are you looking to get out of tour day at the park
The VIP experience is for those who want to do something different. If you add up everything you get, the price is fair. And not everyone can go midweek, due to work and school obligations. I have three kids, but only one would actually enjoy this, and make it worth it, so I would only take the one.

Absolutely agree. If you look at how much express passes are by themselves with a regular ticket, you are looking at over $250 per person. It just makes sense to do the vip tour at that point. I did not mention in the video it also comes with free valet parking too
The VIP Experience is great. If you are going for a one time experience and want something new, while also seeing everything it makes sense. If you are thinking about doing the express pass, the VIP experience just ends up being a better value for Hollywood
You can expect a fun time with a tour guide with lots of knowledge on the park and studio history. One of the best parts was the private studio tour. One thing you want to keep in mind is what time your tour starts. One thing I wish we thought of is how much time we have outside of the tour to go on the rides. If we planned a little more, we could have got on a couple more rides. But you will get a bang for your buck for sure

I am convinced the price for the vip is much better than purchasing the Unlimited pass alone for one day

Congrats on your guys trip, I just can't see spending and extra $1,000 on top of what we already spent (making it $1,400) to get any more of an experience. My tip, go on a weekday, there was almost no one there and we had no wait times. :) Thanks for the videos, cool to see others and their experience!
Glad you hear you had a great time! I know you went in a different time than we did. When we went in July, it was pretty busy and there were waits for everything. We were also looking for something different, because we have already done the regular team tour. Being huge movie fans, that where they new experience made it worth it to us. I’m glad you could go at a time where there was low crowds though. I think the value of the tour all depends on when you are going, and what are you looking to get out of tour day at the park
The VIP experience is for those who want to do something different. If you add up everything you get, the price is fair. And not everyone can go midweek, due to work and school obligations. I have three kids, but only one would actually enjoy this, and make it worth it, so I would only take the one.
How much it cost for this?
It depends on the day you go. We purchased a regular ticket originally, but upgraded for about $230 per person to the VIP. I guess total it was just under $350 per person

Absolutely agree. If you look at how much express passes are by themselves with a regular ticket, you are looking at over $250 per person. It just makes sense to do the vip tour at that point. I did not mention in the video it also comes with free valet parking too

The VIP Experience is great. If you are going for a one time experience and want something new, while also seeing everything it makes sense. If you are thinking about doing the express pass, the VIP experience just ends up being a better value for Hollywood

You can expect a fun time with a tour guide with lots of knowledge on the park and studio history. One of the best parts was the private studio tour. One thing you want to keep in mind is what time your tour starts. One thing I wish we thought of is how much time we have outside of the tour to go on the rides. If we planned a little more, we could have got on a couple more rides. But you will get a bang for your buck for sure
Do u have to wear a mask?
At the time we went, guests were not required to wear a mask. At the moment, guests are required to wear masks indoors
