Reaching out for feedback. In small market, 3 mcd's. , Arbys3 wendys3 tacobell4 and various assortment of national chains. At least 30 choices on rider app. When I am online it will frequently indicate no couriers available. Result is 14 trips in 18 hours prime time weekend. 60$ plus tips. Accepting everything. In the past and currently will be idle over an hour and get requests for pickups that have been ready and are cold, been ready for as long as I have been idle at least. Funny, these pay more. I've tried to reach out to Uber but it's not on supports list of stuff .
I went to the website you mention in the video and it’s not live. It’s still being worked on.
There’s a holy GOD in Heaven, Who created you and I for His glory, but our sins have separated us from Him. the wages of sin is DEATH, but the FREE Gift of GOD is eternal life in CHRIST the LORD. in love, CHRIST died for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. repent, stop living in sin, and believe in the Gospel.
I personally like Uber Eats as a driver because you don't have to worry about picking a time on a set schedule that Doordash provides. You can uber eats at any time of the day when you want and stop when you want no issues no having to worry about missing out not making money that day. When you dont want to do a order and decline on Uber it doesnt affect any percentage of how many orders you get in the future which is really nice and you dont have to worry about your profile to be terminated or hurt by declining orders.
But you can’t get terminated by declining orders through doordash
I agree. Uber Eats is easier and you have more freedom with it. Plus you don’t have to use a Red Card to order and pay for customers orders. There’s no way I’m ordering AND paying (I know it’s DoorDash account). I just want to pick up the food and drop it off!
@@calvee1100 Yeah I signed up for both and just watched video bout DoorDash and seen bout the red card and I’m like nah I ain’t doing that or wanting to schedule time cuz that’s why I got out of Amazon Flex but I did get a email from Uber about a card they have like the red card
Agree I like you can deliver anywhere with UBEREATS and not tied down in one area once your logged in and they don’t crash or time you on your deliveries like DoorDash. I know you need to be punctual and sufficient but as long as you do that your fine. That my say.
U can do that on doordash tho
I’d give it to Uber eats. Doordash gives mostly small orders for more distance. And doordash sometimes doesn’t give accurate pin locations that makes it more difficult to find the correct address, especially at night. And since Uber eats pays the tip after the delivery is complete the customer is more likely to leave a good tip if it’s good service. (That’s the part I feel lots of people forget.)
i agree.
Thank you for watching! I love seeing these comments because experiences vary from marketplace to marketplace. Thank you for sharing your experience with Uber Eats vs. DoorDash. I tend to agree with the tip point with Uber EATS - I have seen $20+ tips with UberEATS!
I have to agree, Uber Eats customers seem to be more generous with tips. I did 8 deliveries last night (only one of them was Uber Eats), the UE order was the highest paying of all them once the tip came in.
@@jspin4018 I’m doing a little experiment on tips so stay tuned!
No cap
I feel like they are both great. It's the actual restaurants that need to be evaluated. It needs to be said
P R E A C H
THIS!!!
In cali this seriously isn’t even a side hustle it’s a full blown job at this point. All the prop 22 benefits make it so much better
I’m happy to be able to door dash, but they need to step their base pay up at least to $5 dollars
No different for UE, their base pay is under $5
Yeah its been getting harder to make money tbh
Uber Eats is very slow in my city, but the tips/trips are always better. DoorDash is way more consistent. I just use both
In my area, uber eats will only show you up to $8 of the tip, while doordash seems to hide the rest of the tip after about $6
I do door-dash. I make good money but their are some Dow’s about door-dash. Likely they give too many low pay far distance orders or they will give you a stacked order one low pay other good pay and the low pay always turns out to be the farthest. Another thing is why should we be rated for acceptance rate when we are self employed we have the choice to decline but turns out that now your acceptance rate has to be 70% to be a top dasher witch is dumb. Thanks for the great videos again mike. Your awesome bro!
Great video! I like how you included time stamps. I shared my thoughts in a video as well. Cheers!
Thanks Ciara, your time is valuable so I like including the video chapters
I think what you should have mentioned is the tipping system is different on the apps for the customers. I consistently get higher tips on Ubereat here in SD. The way Ubereats tipping system works seems to favor higher tipping then doordash IMO.
I've heard that especially if you give good service. I give very good customer service but they have already given the tip and most times don't have cash on them.
@@evamaria644 i found that being communicative reallllllly helps on tips! I always msg my customers I got your order and I'm on my way and then a wink emoticon lastly. I'd say about 30 to 40% of my customers would respond by time I deliver their order. Also my very last delivery, I was stuck in a drive through for 20 mins, communicated with the customer the whole time, got a $20 tip half an hour after delivery!
id rather know what my tip is in advance on doordash than take a gamble on uber eats.
@@xXchaosl3ringerXx, I try to be when the restaurant is late but when it's on time I just don't have the time, however, I have a new phone so now I've pre-written responses. I haven't used them yet but I hope they will increase my tips.
Thanks for the feedback Jon, thanks for watching 👊🏻👊🏻
Your advice is always great thanks
Uber eats in my area is great Doordash has too many drivers and a diluted marketpkace where people who tip poorly to drivers because they dont care about how they deliver or receive their delivery.
Thank you for this i'm a new Dasher, and I can say it's pretty comfortable.
I haven't subed on Ubereats, but I read, 2 years of driving is needed, which I don't have now
Hm, I don't believe 2 years of driving is a requirement but perhaps try applying and see what the outcome is?
Ubereat don’t need two year in delivery experience or driving experience . Lol. I am working after only driving one year🤣
I just got hired by Uber eats and i got my license in July lol
Hey Mike. That was a very helpful video. Can you tell me if the estimated time that both apps quote includes my current location? Example; The app says this should take 20 min to complete but if I am 7 min away from the pickup at the moment I accept the delivery is that really 27 min to complete or is that 7 min drive to to pick up included in the 20 min quote? I suspect it is not but I want to confirm. Thanks again.
Uber eats takes years for it to come and I tip them over 3$ every time but on DoorDash they come in like 20 mins earlier and I tip them the same amount as well
Your tips are easy to follow and to the point, I've been driving for Uber Eats p.t. for 2 years, recently accepted door dash. So I'm an Uber Eats guy. Thank you
You do that full time?
Solid videos guy, ya got a new subscriber!
I appreciate you!
Something to keep in mind we aren't self employed its more like u are an Independent worker. There were periods of time where I didn't get any orders. It's important to keep track of gas receipts and if your vehicle get messed up or your bike. I like delivering on a Bike when it's not cold or raining
Another excellent video man. Here from Toronto doing only UE. Question; you can travel to another city and go online to work UE’s in another city? Never done that before.
Good stuff and pretty accurate in my area too
Nice video.
I needed it
Ubereats / less orders / better pay
DoorDash / more orders / less pay
I agree
Exactly
I find it opposite in NYC.
I've never seen anything above about $15 on UE, I get $25+ orders at least once a day on DD.. Talking about payout to me. Helps to have an android.
Interesting! Matt does more UE than myself I wonder if he'd agree
Can you share some experience when you drive in SD?
Where location? Which app? is better to drive? thanks:)
I have driven for both this past week and have found that uber pays $16 - $35 an hr where door dash pays $20 - $25 an hour, uber has longer wait times in my area but pay is good when its busy and door dash has okay pay but it keeps me busy all day long. But I would prefer uber eats when I can make an extra $75 while on shift.
Nice and informative video thank you brother
Thank you for watching!
Pittsburgh gang!! Love that you live in the city 💛🖤
I would have to agree with this assessment. Doordash is the most busy UE is very very close behind. a few things i did notice you missed, on UE what you see on the offer screen is not always exactly what you get as the customer can adjust the tip, it can be higher or even lower which can lead to much easier tip baiting. On DD the amount offered is guaranteed and could be higher.
The next part i want to point out. DD you have to schedule your times (unless your a top Dasher) unlike UE you can go on whenever you like.
OMG, Tip Baiting??? Geez, I never thought about that….
One thing I don’t like about DoorDash is the scheduling to dash. As independent contractor I wanna a dash when I want. DoorDash shd get rid of scheduling.
You dont need to schedule to dash, I never do. Just go into an area and start dashing
@@mj23926 I'm not driving 30- 45 min away to dash plus the time getting home. I agree, they should get rid of it.
Just depends on your marketplace
Hi Omar! Have you ever used the Dash Now feature?
You can “just Dash“ but by scheduling thru the promo icon you can usually get bigger delivery bonuses. I always schedule and always get $1-$3 extra per delivery. Does not hurt to schedule it does not penalize you for not working even if scheduled
Great video thanks!
Much appreciated Phat!
I don’t like the zone thing with DD. I also consistently get $10-$50 tips on UE. Sometimes I get very good orders on DD though.
I may try DoorDash but for now I’m UberEats exclusive only for the fact that if it’s slow or getting late, I can seamlessly switch to UberX and pick up passengers heading to bars or whatever the case may be. Just helps to maximize profits if it’s been a slow delivery day.
Ubereats of course. Barely wait and good payout ☺️
Great info!!
Glad to help 👊🏻
For me, having to drive back to the busy zone after a delivery, on DoorDash, doesn't make sense.
Very True.
@Roger Scott the point is I don’t want to be driving unnecessarily for another 20 mins just so I’m back in the “demand” area. It’s just not efficient
@@felipecuyumjian its better if you sit in a busy spot with good restaurants. Otherwise with UE you're going to be doing trips for chain resturants and fast food frequently. Yes it is nicer to always have a trip pop up wherever you are but you have less control over what trips you get and where you end up. With DD, I pick my zone, my hotspot, then try to only select orders that are good milage/good pay and return to the hotspot for the good paying trips.
@@felipecuyumjian just end dash and start dashing again
@@rafavalencia3773 doesn’t always work if that area isn’t busy
I like the cash out option on Uber eats.
How is it different than Doordash? It's my favorite feature
I just started dd. But you have to get atleast 50 deliveries and wait 2 weeks. Till then it's a weekly payment like a paycheck. But after that it's still 2.00 for a quick withdrawal.
Thanks for watching Richard 👊🏻
DoorDash has,the same thing
If doordash and uber eats had the same fee for immediate payout with postmates, that would be hella nice! Postmates' fee is $.50 but for some time, postmates yields low money
New to Doordash and maybe missing it but I wish I could see the tip amount before expecting the order
Not anymore DoorDash has pulled our bonuses down in Austin Texas after our big winter storm they upgraded the algorithm and so most of us have switched to Uber eats. And every town is always in a state of very busy.
Ubereats
Uber Eats won’t deactivate you for low acceptance, but they’ll change your ranking which will change your promotional offers. I see why they do it, but I’m glad DD doesn’t do it.
6:20 in my experience though Uber Eats times are much more accurate than Doordash (96% vs. 85% on-time deliveries)
how is parking as a door dasher? do you have to pay for any parking? where I live, I feel that a lot of orders would come from the downtown area which has 0 free parking. would drivers have to pay for their parking in that case?
One misconception concerning DD is you have to drive back to your area you are dashing in. No you don't! Just end the previous dash and start a new one in the are you delivered in. Nevertheless, there is no competition who the better company and app is. By far, it is UE.
You can’t just end the dash and start a new one in a new area because it may not be busy enough for you to start in a new area hence why people are upset they have to drive back, I don’t accept orders that will take me out of my zone for this reason and because they don’t pay enough for me to drive to a new zone
Gh Less order/ bigger pay
UE. Mid order/ mid pay
Dd. More order/ less pay
But UE usually don’t make you waiting in the restaurant and UE has the best challenge, 70 orders for 280. Uber eat is the all time favorite, when u walk in to a restaurant has so many drivers are waiting, and u order is the only order ready for pick up that just feel so good. If u ask those waiting drivers how long your guys been waiting, usually they will tell you they are doordash drivers and doordash has so many rules they just can’t afford to cancel those orders even when they are waiting 10 15 20 mins. Time is money in the rush hours dinner time
DD really does themselves (and us) a disservice by hiding the total and putting "could be higher" I made $1008 last week (36 hours) $650 of that on DD. $250 on UE and rest with GH
I do unassign my orders if they are too long. Chipotle, in my area, is always out of product or long therefore I don't bother to go anymore.
@@JeremyChecketts last week I worked 34.5 hours. Got $1213. Gh + U E This week 14 hours $508. And I only work 1 dinner shift per week. Most of my hours are 8:30am to 10:30am. 9pm to 11 pm. DD really not treating me nice at breakfast or late night in my area
@@evamaria644 In my market (Houston SW upscale shopping area/downtown/north central), with UberEats I have never had a piss poor experience with Chipotle where I had to wait longer than 3-5 min for order completion. 99% of the time it's ready by the time I arrive.
@@fanyu3164 With UE I sometimes get $8-11 McDonald's orders (1-2mi trip totals) late at night. My highest was $21 but the customer outright cancelled the order as I was in route.
Just use both
At the same time
Take orders that are smart, double dip when it’s smart,
And USE A 2nd PHONE!! you don’t have to have a 2nd phone line, just have. Data only sim or use hotspot.
If you don’t have a 2nd phone then shame on you for spending all that money on phones to just “trade” them in for a better phone 😉
Just buy a cheap one for $100.
It’s well worth it.
@Daniel Brockman right you don’t “have” to have a 2nd but I promise it’s so much easier with 2
Ubereats pay better all the time hands down
How did you see the miles I kind of wish if they can give us a part of the app where we can kind of track our mileage but I have stride for that right now
When it comes to actually ordering food I’d go with doordash (cause it’s cheaper) but when it comes to making money and delivering I definitely gotta say UberEats.
Lol you are the very reason the pay is less on Doordash- CHEAP PEOPLE!
@@idleflux4251 how am I cheap and I give them a 3 to 8 dollar tip? 😂
@@idleflux4251 actually, cheap customers are not the problem for the laborforce in business. doordash is making money whether people are being cheap or not. when people are cheap, you are the one losing money... it is your right to make the same high pay whether people are cheap or not for a LUXURY SERVICE as long as your performance is still high quality. Thats why they say we are "self-employed" as a loophole to avoid paying better. No matter what, it is human psychology for people to save money, even if they expect to be lazy, high maintenance, and cheap all in one... which I will never understand. Pick a struggle, people...
@@idleflux4251 How is it his fault that DoorDash is cheaper?
Facts
I do them both at the same time to get the better offer for example today I madr 91 with DD and 115 with UE.
DoorDash is better because declining an order does not affect anything on the DoorDash app. On Uber I can drive on the XL platform. I also live in the western suburbs of Chicago nearby high end restaurants. By declining $2 ubereats orders I have lost the ability to see trip durations on XL trips.
Does the estimated earning for the Uber Eats delivery include boost/surge pay?
Helpful!
This video and comments below helped A LOT. Been DDashing for over a year now so will switch over this week to UE and hopefully the customers on UE tip more (which it sounds like they do since DD customers literally never/rarely tip, at least in South Flordia) and also have common sense. Tired of delivering to customers who live in condos/apartments with security measures and not providing gate code access and gets mad when their order arrived late simply because they don’t text back or answer the phones when we call them. Uuuugh, idiots! Idk if it’s a Florida thing or what but UE here I come. 🤞🏾👌🏾
You couldn't have said it better that happens everywhere I'm here near San Francisco California and the same thing you tell the customer Hey pick up your phone text me back I can't get in because the gate code doesn't work it happens everywhere with doordash and other apps
Mike, thanks for the video very informative! I do have a question. Does Uber Eats show you the hot spots like Door Dash does? I’ve been doing door dash and decided to try Uber eats but I can’t find anywhere to find hot spots on Uber eats?
there is no hot spots. that's specific to doordash. it just takes time or knowledge to know the hot times and spots in your area to earn the most
If you are new to UE, you won’t see them until you’ve made about 60 deliveries, then you will be able to see the hot spots all around town, however I dont think they are very accurate. I drove 15 miles away to get to a hot spot, waited 2 hours & no hits at all so I drove back to where I originated from that did not show ut was a hot area & started getting multiple hits.
Just drive to a wealthy area where there are lots of restaurants nearby.
Never rely on Hotspots or surge zones This doesn't garuntee you will get delivery requests. As was mentioned, experience and knowledge of your market will be your best ally.
I have been trying to get a new job during this covid 19 time and it has been very difficult because I have been out of work for 6 months
Hey Mike awesome content. I actually have a question. Do you know why your Doordash balance can say one amount, and when you get payment you have a different amount. Any info would help. Thanks in advance man.
Because they are just estimates. Actual amounts are after the delivery. In my case, most times higher than the estimate. For example, my last delivery from yesterday, suggested $7.71 on a McD drive thru. Half an hour after the last delivery, the total of that delivery was $27.71, customer tipped $20!
@@xXchaosl3ringerXx he's talking about DD not UE. DD is always pretipped. It's sometimes higher after your delivery on DD, because DD hides a portion of the tip so people don't cherry pick? (My guess)
@@branzilla1722 Thanks Brad. Yeah really weird. Like last week at the end of my week it said 888.00 but I only got 855.00 when it was deposited in my account..I was like what the 🤬! Didn't know of DD Keepa a portion for them because of the network, or their piece of crap services when we have to call in. Just trying to get to the bottom of this.
So your earnings are saying one thing but your weekly deposit is something else? I've actually never experienced that. The total shown upon accepting is what you'll receive so there should be no discrepancies there, take screenshots of any pay mismatches and reach out to support.
@@YourDriverMike I think I know what he's talking about. When I get cashed out on DD, my week total from let's say Dec 21-27, is $125, but when you check it, the amount deposited is only $95. But that $30 will be added to next pay period. And so on. This happens to me all the time. I think it either subtracts the first or last day, and adds it to the next pay period.
I vote for Uber as in my area in Lancaster Pennsylvania doordash pays a lot lower and they are busier than Uber but when you compare the hours you're making more on Uber.
I’m just doing them both and picking the best offers. Today will be my first day on Uber. Been doing DD for 10 months, almost 5000 deliveries.
How much have you made from DD
Any updates?
One app issue I have with Ubereats is being randomly shut off. This is separate from declining 3 in a row, just a random periodical kicking me offline.
If this happens I immediately go back online. My phone has face ID so I can quickly and safely log back in if I am busy. If not, pull over if you can safely and log back in. Another thing you can do is have a password for UE in the notes section of your phone to let you easily and quickly copy paste it into the app if you get logged out, thus saving you a bit (even though small) amount of time
@@yourdriverteam-matt1001 I have no problem going back online. I'm assuming it's a server issue. It tends to happen more during slow times when I suspect there are too many drivers for the network. It may just randomly kick people off in five minute intervals. Just wondering if anyone else had that problem.
Although ubereats has paid good for me I do wanna do door dash but it’s hard to start delivering for them in Los Angeles because they have so many applications and have currently put everyone on a waiting list around here . I make about 100 dollars in 4 hours to 4 1/2 doing in Uber eats in Los Angeles which is pretty good compared to other cities where ppl are working 8 hours or more to make the same .
I respectfully disagree that DoorDash is better... depends on marketplace. My numbers in my market show Uber Eats rocks. Great video Mike!
Hi John we definitely recommend driving for both and seeing which is better because you're right! The demand for DD or UE changes from marketplace to marketplace. Glad you're crushing it with UberEATS keep it up!
@@yourdriverteam-matt1001 Thanks Matt! You guys open to any collaboration?
Good job in the comparison.@@
I feel like I get more deliveries through door dash but they are usually lower. I prefer still uber eats
@Daniel Brockman update ?
@Daniel Brockman how did Uber eats go?
I agree.. I get 3x more money on Uber eats but I only get two to three orders a day and door dash keeps busy
Here in Houston doordash is #1. I drive for both. If Uber eats is surging high I'll deliver for them but when the surge goes down I'll switch over to doordash. Mainly do uber eats for breakfast because Starbucks be poppin lol and I do Doordash at night and all weekend. And yes, doordash app sucks it's always crashing right in the middle of a delivery 🙄
Agree I like you can deliver anywhere with UBEREATS and not tied down in one area once your logged in and they don’t crash or time you on your deliveries like DoorDash. I know you need to be punctual and sufficient but as long as you do that your fine. That my say.
UE definitely times you & the app has crashed several times where I lost 3 orders. UE cust support has long wait times to get a live person on the phone.
whats the difference between delivery promotions and ride promotion for uber eats
where can we get the Uber Eats window decal?
5:02 the RUSTront 😂 nice comparison tho
Thank you for your videos am thinking to go cross country to c were I do better and we're ever I do better il stay
UE is best in my market, tried DD and too many app crashes, consistently answering why am I declining an order, layout is awful, text messages and maps - no good. Can't wait for UE to buy DD!
I currently deliver both Uber Eats and Door Dash. I definitely get more hits on Door Dash than Uber Eats where I reside.
where do you reside and how large is your market?
@@evamaria644 Orlando Florida
I’ve always received more money with less time with Doordash I guess I better order another bag, but they are so small so we have to use them?
Hot/cold bags are not required but I definitely recommend having at least 2 and/or a catering bag and pizza bag. Check out my Amazon driver store for higher quality bags: www.amazon.com/shop/yourdrivermike?listId=2TAKZA7WC1IK9&ref=idea_share_inf
I would love to door dash but for some reason in my area I can’t choose bike as a vehicle just car lol
I deliver for Uber Eats in central Fla. If I let my acceptance rate fall below 3 acceptance in last 10 offers, I lose upfront addresses info. I get a lot of Walmart orders which I decline (I accepted one once, and will never take the chance of delivering 8 cases of water/soda to the 3rd floor EVER AGAIN!) anyway, I’m constantly on the cusp of falling under the 3/10 threshold. Signed up for DD, but they are full in my area…
You never explained how you go on shift. Do you have shifts assigned to you like SKIP the Dishes or can you log on any time?
For ubereats you can literally log on anytime you want and go for as long as you want. They cap you out after 12 hours of consistent driving. You gotta wait 6 hours until you can drive again
"SHIFTS" is a slap in the face. This isn't a 1099 part time or full time job, why are there even shifts? To make drivers feel important? And "Top Dasher"... ohhh la la! What an honor. DoorDash give me a break with all the unnecessary fluff. Spend more of your budget on paying your drivers fairly versus these little nuance marketing tactics and regulations.
I just started delivering for uber eats at the oceanside are (north san diego.) It's pretty slow up here through out the week how is the San Diego are through out the weekday and do u have any specific location??
If you come down south to La Jolla or further into PB it'll get much busier in my opinion
@@YourDriverMike thanks
One little mistake door dash deactivates you quickly
I love door dash, I get too log on whenever I want , no shifts , and it lets you kno how many items are in the order before you accept it , but I do instacart over both 😂
Door Dash in my area will send you to Walmart. It didn’t take long for me to realize I needed to avoid these orders. I picked up over 30 items for this lady and it only paid 5 dollars. Another lady called me after I drove off(I thought the contact ended after order closed out)and told me she had several items missing. It was due to the items not being in stock which wasn’t my fault since I only pick up what they gave me. I will never accept another Walmart order again. If you get one… you’ve been warned.
I recently started driving for doordash altho it is busier I find that the app is harder to use then Uber eats cause you have to confirm order confirm you’ve arrived to the restaurant also the navigation is not in app navigation it take me out of the app to go I to google maps maybe I’m not doing it right but if your driving I feel the app should be as easy as Uber eats cause that way you don’t have to be paying attention to your phone most of the time
Uber eats always gave me the next order or double order. Doordash kept giving the long distance pick up orders and Walmart orders. My experience doordash only worth the first 100 orders.
I agree. Yesterday, most of my orders were doubles, and I was getting the next order while still on delivery for the previous.
Terrible for door dash drivers here in Holland Michigan small city... About 50. 1.00 a mile! Losing proposition working for about 12.00 HR 😔
Door Dash is better cause the map let's u know the areas that are busy. I love peak pay Uber Eats is good with not having u travel so far to deliver. Both apps are good
UE new update take up %75 of phone screen for new orders so when you are taking a picture of a delivery or messing with the map you accidentally accept random orders that can take you anywhere. Now I have to stop requests as soon as I leave the restaurant for every order if I don’t want trash orders popping up at the most crucial point of my job.
Where can you turn off requests during deliveries?
Always remember you can cancel a order at anytime without penalty as long as you HAVE NOT picked up the food yet. they will just assign another driver. happened to me earlier I NEVER do an order without knowing the details.
I've noticed that as well and UE will continue to flood you with orders as you're trying to finish one which is a pain.
@@dab4539 Lower righthand corner of the screen that shows the three stacked dots next to three horizonally bars/line segments.
If you are in an active order, I believe you have to scroll up 2X to see it. (Droid user here.)
@@YourDriverMike I agree. This always seems to occur when I'm in the middle of walking the order up to the customer's door or when I'm snapping the photo of the order at the customer's doorstep (which by the way 99% try to capture the address number of property or the door number of the apartment unit... just as a precaution to save my butt). So far no complaints for my images being "too far" away so to speak.
I'm on Uber eats and in 5 hrs i made 127 before subtracting gas and depreciation. I'm also in Pittsburgh
Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Surprised you didn’t bring up UE new trip estimates. In my market place, you can no longer see the tip estimate when you receive an order. I don’t know if it’s changed in Pittsburgh. Now when I get an order it will only show me the base pay.
OMG! That's awful!
@@evamaria644 I believe it is only in California as of now. I think that’s why no one is really making videos about it.
@@DariusMarty I'll see about this when I drive later today :)
I Would say uber eats you pick up the best order with expectation tips plus your challenges you would earn good money between 22 to 30 per hour 30 when is super busy dinner day I love it doordash never have 1 promo every 2 month or 3 month and you earn between 13 to 15 per hour.
Door dash is always more busy. Also the google maps implementation within door dash i superior to whatever mapping Uber uses. It’s ages behind google maps on door dash.
Uber is my favorite . I don’t like how they made me wait two weeks for same day payouts. And I don’t like the accept rate system.
Oh you did add your bank account you should have add your card to get quick cash
@@theprosage7 I did but still had to wait 2 weeks with doordash
Thanks for watching!
@@CJGAMEZ38 I hate that 2 weeks is ridiculous. I also do not like that I am being timed.
@@privatelifejust_4me yea I agree, Uber is my go to. Doordash is my back up
I had a DoorDash app crash yesterday at a McDonalds; error message appeared on the screen and the order disappeared. I couldn't get the app back up, even after restarting my phone. I called support, who told me I was still assigned to the ordernd to pick it up anyway, and deliver. Then I lerned from the manager the order had been picked by someone else. DoorDash payed me half. Afterward I tried to get on UberEats, all wouldn't work UNTIL I turned off my phone's WiFi. McDonald's has free WiFi, and I think the conflict between WiFi and my phone's data connection may have caused the problems.
It did it happened to me until support told me to turn off wifi, don't even use it at home because when it changes signals it will end your dash which is what happened to me.
Its best to have unlimited data plan with this sort of side job.
Thanks for sharing Daniel, Matt has this issue on UE sometimes. Yes I always recommend turning off WiFi entirely before heading out because as you noticed your phone may automatically try to connect to past wifi spots you've joined.
I'm not sure if it's just my area but Uber eats has seemed to go back to the payout system where it doesn't show the included tip when an order pops up on the screen. Kinda sucks
same here ... it happened on Tue this week
@@tamla3087 I hope they change it back because I'm not accepting an order without knowing the tip
Wtf it’s still the same for me
New to this and I have never seen the tip upfront for urber. Normally it comes up afterwards and sometimes I don’t get anything or just one dollar. I average 3$ a delivery on most.
UberEats is better because UberEats tracks your miles which comes in handy during Tax season. I haven't been on Doordash for a while but Doordash does not track your miles. Doordash also gives a ton of LATE ORDERS which affects your ratings. Doordash will give you a deliver by 5:34 but the order came to you at 5:27.....also, the dreaded red bag....With UberEats, restaurants don't hassle over a deliver bag.
I like Doordash because it’s busier in my market and you can see if it’s an apartment
Uber also let’s customers adjust the tip down after the delivery which is BS
Recently in California Uber has changed the screen payout. It is standardized now. It makes no difference if you take a $3 delivery for 30 minutes or a $3 delivery for 10 minutes. You are guaranteed minimum wage, mileage and tips. The rate shown does not include tips they are a bonus if you get one. I like the new system. Even if I sit in the drive thru for 20 min waiting for pickup I am getting paid. I make just as much now as I did last year! What I like is I do not have to cherry pick orders anymore or cancel because of long waits. Once I take a delivery the clock starts and Uber has no choice but to pay me until the delivery is completed. I do watch for where the delivery is because once you complete a delivery the clock stops. What if your delivery took you 25 minutes away from a prime area that you know gives good tips. You have to drive all the way back FOR NOTHING.
Hi Don, before I moved from San Diego the way I understood it is the guaranteed pay was 120% of minimum wage. Are the order request screens different now? If so feel free to tweet it to me
My base pay has never changed from $3 on DD, in ATL.
Hey where in Atlanta are you? How is the market there? I’m thinking about moving there this summer
@@gregtinsley7700 its not too bad, there's usually always a bonus pay, walmart orders are helpful just gotta be quick, and if you stay away from areas were everything is far as hell you should stay busy.
@@gregtinsley7700 and I stay in Decatur.
Thank you for watching! Perhaps try Uber Eats if you get more after tips?
Ubereats is always busy and the wait is non existent. No contest
Great news for your marketplace Johnny keep up the UberEats hustle!
So I'd door dash
Where can you see your acceptance rate?
It depends on your market. Where I live, uber eats is busier than door dash. I run both when I'm delivering. I get more and better orders on uber eats.
Same.
If you drive in Pennsylvania, are you responsible for state taxes there?
Well my biggest complaint about DD at this point is scheduling. I haven't done this for very long and have only made 85 dashes at this point. It was going very well and after a couple of weeks I really had a great system set up for myself. So after the two weeks I couldn't dash anytime because I had not made the 200 life time deliveries. And now apparently I can't dash because of too many dashers in my area. This brings me too my point. This is the schedule they offer me. 12:00 AM to 1:00AM. And this is the schedule for the foreseeable future. The reason I signed up for DD in the first place is so I can do it when I want as they advertise. My only other option is too drive three hours away to deliver. At this point I'm thinking this is a f---ing joke. And here I sit shaking my head. Has anyone else had this issue?
I have seen a base pay as low as $1 with doordash, especially during peak pay. Eats the whole bonus. Messed up
What is your experience with UberEATS?
