(My cat feels comfortable too.) The fact that many people are still listening to this music is meaningful in itself. I put a lot of effort into composing every day for the comfort of people and animals. Just as a newborn baby who does not know the song falls asleep to the sound of a lullaby, the animals seem to be helped by the gentle tempo of the music. (Of course, just as people have different tastes, some animals do not have a great influence on music.) However, animals learn by repeating certain behaviors. If you go out at the same time as the music, you might think that people disappear when the music turns on. To help with separation anxiety, it's a good idea to listen to the same music often. An animal's hearing is more sensitive than a human's, so it's okay to listen with the volume turned down. A lot of people have asked this question, so I'll give you a long answer. This is the most bizarre day my 7 year old cat and I have ever had. My cat is a female Tortie and more like a cat dog than any cat I have had. She isn't (wasn't) traditionally cat affectionate but we have a great friendship. She communicates with blinks and says "yes" with her mouth, even though the words don't form. She is very funny and a few times a week if it is cold she will crawl into my lap for warmth. I put this video on this morning after she got used to several non musical cat purring rain videos. WITHIN SECONDS she crossed the room, jumped into my lap, snuggled down and stayed there for several hours. I was stunned and didn't move until I was about to PEEPEE on myself. This has been playing for 8 hours. She has not once gone for her patrol around the backyard. She has snuggled on her perch and purred loud enough for me to hear. I asked her if she likes it and she blinks and says "YES". She has not nervously eaten. SHE RUBBED UP ON MY LEGS! This is a miracle. Great job and thank you thank you thank you.
I picked up a kitten meowing alone in my backyard last summer. He is very feral and always acted like a wild tiger against me after all this months, but now he seems relaxed with this music. Thank you.

I had a new foster who's super skittish escape containment accidentally this morning. She hid under a chest for several hours, outsmarting my food lure. But I put this on and less than 3 minutes later she came out with a little chirp and gratefully went back into her room. Worked like a charm and I'm playing it now for her while she naps

DUDE! my 7 year old tortie who is more dog than cat did the exact same thing! she only crawls up in my lap when she is cold. The EXACT moment she heard this she crossed the room and curled up snug on my lap. I WAS STUNNED. I sat motionless for 2 hours, my legs were numb and I was about to pee on myself! It now has played non-stop (restarted) for 24 hours (I use blue tooth for tv and music). I now live with a different cat. I played it and listened all night. She woke me up rubbing her face into my hand. NEVER showed that kind of want for affection. She has been cat rubbing on my legs. THIS IS BIZARRE. I did try switching to different songs but she gave me stern in the eye looks, I switched back to this one and she did her "yes" blink. Just freakin bizarre.
My cat died and went to heaven one day after New Years day of this year. She would have loved this kind of music. I should adopt another cat! 🐈⬛ 💔😥⚘️🙏😥❤️🐈⬛

This is the most relaxing video I've found,. Right now snow is falling outside my window and it's quieter than rain but the sound of the rain is good anyway as I'm listening.I'm practically asleep! My dog died last week so the two neighbor cats have been competing for my attention because I’m home all day (and now there’s no dog.) They started fighting (they’re vicious!) so I put this music on and they stopped fighting immediately. I wish I had it on video, it was pretty amazing. Music soothes the savage beast. Thank you!!

My Russian Blue had a strongly demonstrated preference for Santana ... particularly the ZEBOP! album. It's not exactly what I'd describe as calming music. But, he would lay stretched out on top of the speaker cab, loving the vibrations with his tail hanging down and gently moving to it. No wonder the little guy also loved Thunder & Lightning. It is now January 7th. I live with a completely different cat being. Kittykitty is 7. She has climbed up and slept in my lap 8 times today and took the most wonderful curled up snuggling cat naps in her life. This is more times in a day than in a year! She follows me around rubbing on my legs until I sit down so she can jump up. When the back door is open she will only go about 10 feet past the door. She stops when she can't hear the music and comes back. This is CRAZY!! Thank you

So I'm sitting here on my bed doing homework (which you really shouldn't do -- bad posture and all that -- but 3/4 are sitting with some part of their body touching different parts of my legs and just chilling. Something we do regularly regardless of music playing or not, but this seems to be pretty relaxing for all parties involved. Thank you for putting this compilation together. And I REALLY appreciate the fact that it's almost 12 hours long. This means I could potentially put it on for the kittoes to listen to while I'm at school all day.
Every cat I've ever owned has loved music. I rescued a mother and her two little kittens over the summer from a friend who lived 2 hours away. I played soft music in my car on the way home and they never made a sound, just curled up and slept. I try and play it when they get a little too excited and especially if I have to go out for longer than a couple of hours. It works every time.

This is December 9 2023. A whole new world. This is a follow up on THIS particular cat music video. Yesterday I tested out a few more Cat Mate Music videos and watched her ears shift around then she looked me square in the eyes and I saw a look that said GO BACK! I restarted this video and she curled up and closed her eyes. So i played this all night and both she and I slept peacefully. UNTIL in the middle of the night she woke me up when she was rubbing her face on my hand(she had never in 7 years done anything like that). I woke up enough to pet her gently and talk to her until I fell back to sleep. She is confused by the visual of the cat because it moves very slightly as it breathes so I turned that tv to face the wall and it validates it is this music of this video that is the greatest thing she has ever heard. I have no doubt each cat and each human have their own preference. We together found the one that pleases us both. I now use blue tooth headphones for watching tv or listening to other music so this video is what she hears. This is a bizarre miracle in her peaceful loving demeanor. Thank you.
My cat, Sadie Mae, loves this. She'll lay down near this , on her belly, with both ears perked up. Next time I look she'll be stretched out on her side beside it sound asleep. Every time. And I love it myself.
On playing this, our little kitten gave a relaxed playful meow and then just instantly relaxed in a lovely calm way totally different it seemed to any way had relaxed previously - definitely seems to work and enjoy.
This is the sort of thing that is playing ever so gently in the background at my local dental clinic. Very soothing. 🙂 ... and now my little meezer girl has just heard a few notes, she has decided to come up on the sofa and listen to it sitting next to me.
Hey, this music might actually work ... I've got two of THE most timid, terrified cats I've ever seen, and I've had numerous cats over the decades. This has been playing in my apartment all day and I went out and came home to ... one of the cats relaxing on my bed. It doesn't sound like much but for this cat, it's a HUGE first. Other one is still in hiding, alas. She might have to listen to this more often. 😸

So I'm sitting here on my bed doing homework (which you really shouldn't do -- bad posture and all that -- but 3/4 are sitting with some part of their body touching different parts of my legs and just chilling. Something we do regularly regardless of music playing or not, but this seems to be pretty relaxing for all parties involved. Thank you for putting this compilation together. And I REALLY appreciate the fact that it's almost 12 hours long. This means I could potentially put it on for the kittoes to listen to while I'm at school all day.

Every cat I've ever owned has loved music. I rescued a mother and her two little kittens over the summer from a friend who lived 2 hours away. I played soft music in my car on the way home and they never made a sound, just curled up and slept. I try and play it when they get a little too excited and especially if I have to go out for longer than a couple of hours. It works every time.

I love this music, listening to it every single night. It’s purr-fect for a good nights sleep (see what I did there? Purr-fect as in a cat purring as my cat often comes onto my bed to snuggle up and sleep to this music, every night I reset the video to see how long I’ve slept. 🐈🐈⬛(ginger is my cat blaze, the other is my cat dexter, dexter is the one I’m talking about in this paragraph 🐈⬛🐈❤️
This is December 9 2023. A whole new world. This is a follow up on THIS particular cat music video. Yesterday I tested out a few more Cat Mate Music videos and watched her ears shift around then she looked me square in the eyes and I saw a look that said GO BACK! I restarted this video and she curled up and closed her eyes. So i played this all night and both she and I slept peacefully. UNTIL in the middle of the night she woke me up when she was rubbing her face on my hand(she had never in 7 years done anything like that). I woke up enough to pet her gently and talk to her until I fell back to sleep.
She is confused by the visual of the cat because it moves very slightly as it breathes so I turned that tv to face the wall and it validates it is this music of this video that is the greatest thing she has ever heard.
I have no doubt each cat and each human have their own preference. We together found the one that pleases us both.
I now use blue tooth headphones for watching tv or listening to other music so this video is what she hears.
This is a bizarre miracle in her peaceful loving demeanor. Thank you.
My cat, Sadie Mae, loves this.
She'll lay down near this , on her belly, with both ears perked up. Next time I look she'll be stretched out on her side beside it sound asleep. Every time.

This reminds me of the channel I play on TV that has soft music with scriptures and scenery. My cats love it. I'll try this with my cats.
Cats love listening to music. Perhaps not Heavy Metal, but if their owner plays on a classic instrument the cat might come to listen.
On playing this, our little kitten gave a relaxed playful meow and then just instantly relaxed in a lovely calm way totally different it seemed to any way had relaxed previously - definitely seems to work and enjoy.
Now,this recording did the trick,piecefuly snoring away.thankyou so much.
This is the sort of thing that is playing ever so gently in the background at my local dental clinic. Very soothing. 🙂 ... and now my little meezer girl has just heard a few notes, she has decided to come up on the sofa and listen to it sitting next to me.

Hey, this music might actually work ... I've got two of THE most timid, terrified cats I've ever seen, and I've had numerous cats over the decades. This has been playing in my apartment all day and I went out and came home to ... one of the cats relaxing on my bed. It doesn't sound like much but for this cat, it's a HUGE first.
Other one is still in hiding, alas. She might have to listen to this more often. 😸
The music works with my Ginua pig! She went to sleep. And my cat is cuddling with me right now too! Well she dose anyways. she's a sweetheart 💕
