Great to see your vid. Brings back so many memories of my youth, from Melbourne Australia. Bought one second hand when 15, kept it in the small house foyer. Had to wait until 17 to get a licence and take it out. I spent countless hours not riding it, but stipping it on saturday nights and re-building something. A cold damp garage, in the late 70;s, listening to saturday night rock n roll on the radio. Did everything to get it to go faster than about 70. Could not blow it up and i tried. In the end a car pulled out from a driveway and i hit it at 40mph. Walked away, with the help of an angel. But what memories just watching your video. Amazing you got it to idle !! ha. Could never get a stable idle. Thanks for the Vid.
Thanks for a trip back 50 years. At 18 years old I purchased this exact bike new at GN Gonzalez in Baton Rouge, la. I paid $400. Smooth quiet little ride. Hope that you still have it after 7 years and you've survived the crazy drivers using their cell phones 😉.
I grew up riding a '68 CL175 and still own a '72 CL175. They are fun and such good bikes as long as you take care of them, and they will do over 30 mph faster than 65 when perfectly tuned. I noticed that car pull out like you were not even there, which is so common. People are in such a hurry these days, which makes riding so much more dangerous.
I had one of these brand new all those years ago. One of the nicest bikes I've ever had. Would cruise all day long at 70mph. Your bike is missing the baffles in the exhausts, what I liked about mine it was so quite and smooth. You have a miss firing problem on one cylinder either fuel or ignition, mine didn't have to be revved. Unfortunately, mine had a bad oil leak from the rev counter cable and on a long run I advertently run out of oil and damaged a small end on the conrod was never the same again and finely one of the bearings seized on the swinging arm which broke. Wish I'd looked after it better.
I have the exact same bike and I'm just starting to get her running after sitting for over 25+ years. I just cleaned the carbs and put a rebuild kit on them today. Thanks for uploading the video. It looks like St. Augustine where you're riding, right? I lived on Naples for 18 years.\, now back in Louisville.

This was my first bike, nice to see it again, now I'm around at a BMW K1100 :-)
What a cool bike. I really like the aesthetic a lot of the older small engine bikes have. They just seem so charming. Thanks for posting this video!
Fantastic little machines.

A young guy could do a lot worse than one of these.
I see you don't stop at stop signs either. LOL. But I like the bike.
