Ricky's first English album basically had this type of music explode. A few month's after the release you had Santana's Supernatural and started the Latino type wave with Shakira, Enrique, Jlo and Marc Anthony. So Ricky's album success was a game changer.
‘Private Emotion’ is one of the songs that Robbie Williams was offered and turned down right at the start of his solo career. He fell out with the head of his record label over it. I know you reacted to Life Thru A Lens recently - I just can’t imagine this song on that album at all.
Oh geez Bryson, you know I'm here for anything Ricky! I'm sure you remember his "denim" video for No Body Want's To Be Lonely. Ain't nobody, no way, gonna look hotter than he does in that one! 😍 A lot of people don't realize what a huge global star he is in South America and Latin countries performing in Spanish. Here in America he's getting back to his acting career also.
The Grammy Awards performance was H-O-T! 🙂If you want to see a longer-haired 20-year-old Ricky, I recommend his 1991 Spanish-language hit ballad "Fuego Contra Fuego." If you want to dabble in a little Broadway, I recommend Ricky's performance of "High Flying, Adored" from the 2012 revival of "Evita" (cast recording video). You might also like "Come WIth Me" from 2013 ... there's a good live performance from "The Voice: Australia."
The ones I would really love you to react to are "I Don't Care" and "It's Alright". Oh, and of course his duet with Madonna "Be Careful (Cuidado Con Mi Corazón)" from 1999, which apparently wasn't released as a single because Madonna didn't have the time to shoot a music video. So no MV there but definitely still worth checking out.
I haven't seen him in concert for a long time now but it is very exciting. The show always seemed to be in two halves. He'd do the pop hits, which always looked a bit structured and self-conscious to me, although still good. Drop It On Me is fun and sexy. The final part of the show is when he would go back to his Latin roots with songs like Maria, La Bomba, and others. You can tell that is his real love - much like you see in this live Grammy performance. He can crossover - I mean somebody that handsome and charismatic with such a great voice always will - but his upbeat Latin songs are on a whole different level for me. Try and find the MTV unplugged vid of him singing Pegate. I was at that performance and it is so authentic and exciting.
He’s so handsome ❤❤
The Cup of life ❤❤❤😍😍

"Shake your bonbon", "Jaleo", "Be careful with my heart" (a duet with Madonna)... please, keep reacting to his songs 🎵 So many to check out!
