A journey onboard Ex Southampton Uni Scania N94UD East Lancs Omnidekka 626 which was operating the 374 that used to run between Brentwood and Grays via East Tilbury (Longer routing than the 100 and 200 and used to be the second longest route with them. Longest was the 11 which was also withdrawn). The route itself was withdrawn on 1st September 2023, the same day as the 11, 265 and 1 getting withdrawn due to ECC funding cuts. Though 374 did get a revival as two separate routes, the 201 which runs down 11/374s fobbing section (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. Operated by First Essex) and the 375 which actually starts in Horndon on the hill, a former place the 11 served but later runs down most of the old 374 routing which includes East Tilbury, Coalhouse Fort and River View Cross Keys with a Mercedes sprinter as the allocated bus, a far cry of what 374 used to have before (Mostly E200s but omnidekkas and omnicities made appearances, also runs mon-sat like the 374 did but PVR is 1 instead of 2. 375's operator is Central Connect). Anyway, 626 was new for Southampton Uni shuttles (uni link southampton) in 2004 and passed to nibs buses in 2009 after Omnicities arrived at Southampton and features the euro 3 Scania DC9 engine coupled with a 5 speed ZF ecomat and is probably one of the best things you could catch just a stone's throw away from Central London if they end up on routes 21/81.
