Edit: For those who don't know, it translates into "Heal, heal...little tail of frog"
Whenever I complained about aches and injuries as a child, my mother used to say that chant replacing colita (little tail) with whatever body part was hurting (ex: my hand hurt? "Sana, sana, manita de rana. Si no sana hoy, sanara mañana.")
Bruno does a bunch of stuff meant to ward off bad luck, probably a coping mechanism he developed from constantly seeing misfortunes in the future, similar to Pepa's "clear skies" mantra when she gets anxious.
Edit 2: I also just realized, that "vibing in his own universe" bit was him avoiding the cracks bc stepping on cracks is bad luck! And he's scared of cracks! So Hernando is a non-superstitious persona!
And him throwing salt is a superstition about throwing salt over one of your shoulders at the devil to avoid bad luck too.
plus the upside down brooms in his room to ward off unwanted guests. also rain on a wedding day is supposed to mean good luck for the couple, he was wishing pepa and felix good luck
