- The new staff trying out another little twist to a regular show and succeeding pretty well. Let's pretend Lucky 7 never happened today. :P
The car games weren't too exciting overall, but here's two of the cashers, then a decent trip down memory lane. As far as I heard, this is the only time 3 cash games have shown up ever, but I bet someone will find otherwise.
And look - WBZ isn't cutting in post-reveal as often anymore! Yes!

To be fair, the prize the guy at the end guessed, I thought he guessed too low.
@RetroWinnipeg another 13 years or so. The 5000th show was in 1998, the 7500th show in 2011. 10,000th show either late 2024 or early 2025
I think they should do this, if you get within 500 dollars of the asking price it should be a double showcase.
i agree! It used to be "within 100 dollars" and then they eventually changed it to 250 dollars. I agree it should now be 500 considering what the prizes are worth.

I still think this is the absolute best music. The music used when they were presenting the entertainment center in the showcase. I wish someone could make that music on youtube and extend it!

Your comment surprised me, so I looked it up. Every place I looked said that 'The Price Is Right' is doing fine. It consistently ranks in the top 5 for daytime shows.

I think that in the pricing game: "3 Strikes," needs a big change in the rules: only one strike and all five different numbers, as it goes back into the second variation, and a contestant can draw one strike at a time before it gets all three strikes to win a brand new car. [Simple, isn't it?]
Not seeing TPiR on WBZ-TV.... would crush my childhood right away.. I wonder when this show would end... and if it would end, would lots of stations be picking it up for syndication? What would CBS air at 11 am EST? If the show did end, would the show ever be brought back?
True the Mustang was "just" a V6, but it still has 305 horsepower... but give me the GT..

yeah, nowadays the brands have to pay extra to have their name mentioned, so most of them choose to pay less and just have the product shown.

the articles say he was "fired due to a mess that was entirely Rich's own making". I don't know all the details but apparently he was incredibly difficult to work with.
Another pet peeve of mine is when Drew on TPiR or Wayne Brady on LMAD say "If you make a mistake, you lose EVERYTHING." NO !!! They don't lose EVERYTHING !!! Do they lose their job or spouse or home... NOOOOO !!!! SO STOP SAYING «YOU LOSE EVERYTHING».
