What good technical data! I ask you a question that always causes divergent opinions, the throat Bb (A left index finger and thumb pressed), which is not the real Bb but a compromise note to facilitate handling the B...etc. from the clarion sector. How to improve the tuning and timbre of said position or note, which in some clarinets is heard out of tune, high or low and generally bright? A few of us will appreciate any opinion or solution, that is, and that is not alternative or compromise positions. Thank you very much from Argentina.
Sadly with this note there are very few options other than possibly opening up the throat tone A key to help with tuning. The problem with this note is that the register key hole is too small (by design) to properly vent this note. Sadly, there are very few options for making this fingering sound as good as the other fingerings for Bb.
Very helpful videos, thanks guys!!🙏
How do you swedge (e or h2) long key(right hand)?
Thanks
Keep posting
Glad it was helpful!
