This is another item that I purchased quite a while ago and just tossed on the shelf and forgot about. I was actually impressed when I opened it up. Everything seems to be of decent quality and actually useable if you were in a tough situation. This kit includes a good variety of options to help you get a fire started and keep it going.
The only downfalls I found in this tin were the cheap wire saw, and the dull knife. However, I’m sure the knife will easily take an edge with a little bit of work.

That's a pretty decent little kit! I'd add a whistle and maybe a couple of WHIRL bags with some water purification tabs. You could probably even put a small MYLAR SPACE BLANKET under the duct tape on the bottom side too! 👍

May be possible to add a water bag and water purification tablets. Also I’d add an SAK and a lighter. Maybe some micro cordage too? Solid value for $20! Thanks for sharing.

Nice kit. I like that you added char cloth. If I get one I'd add a lighter to it though.
I'm assuming you can't sell it with one because of the gas.
That's actually a really nice compact kit. I would definitely add a mini Bic and replace the knife with a SAK though.

I think they should take those little survival cards out. No other fishing items in the kit. No real cordage. Makes sense since it's a fire kit. Removing the cards and replacing them with 5 or 6 stormproof matches and a couple of quick tinder (or one like it) fire starters. Makes it a way better fire kit. Now you know what I'll do if i win it. Lol
It’s funny because if you look up the same kit on UA-cam, every review has something different in the tin. Mine was the first I had seen with the survival cards. If I were to keep it, the cards and survival saw would be removed. I’d add some windproof matches since I don’t even think a mini Bic would fit in since it’s so packed. Possibly though.
I'd add a small bic and some zippo typhoon matches to that kit. But not a bad kit plus the tin could be used to boil water.

How do you use a ranger band for fire starting?
It’s more of a flame extender. The rubber burns for a long time. It’s like using duck tape or Vaseline cotton balls.
