You say Haddonfield 1978 and everyone remembers all the individual brutal killings but nobody ever thinks about Ben.
...and also, it would have been kinda cool if Rob Zombie (in his H2) had made Jeff Daniel Phillips' character Ben Tramer instead of "Howard". Would have been a great nod to the original Halloween. He's out back of the strip club squaring off with Myers, "Listen jerkoff, don't give me no reason...." then a cop car comes out of nowhere and hits him at full speed and explodes....
...and also, wouldn't it have been funny if in H4 the scene when sheriff Meeker yells "Get home dammit. There's a curfew. If I catch your ass it will be a weekend in jail!" at the three Shape impostors then simultaneously they all three got hit by police cars coming from different directions and exploded? ...and also if you stop the movie as they pan over to the third one it almost looks like he's wearing a Tramer mask. It's probably just the one in schoolhouse fire extinguisher scene but it it would have been a cool nod to the H2 had it been intentional.
...and also I found a guy on Facebook named Ben Tramer. I sent him a friend request just because of his name and he accepted. Weird that he did seeing how I'm a total stranger. He even "likes" some of my stuff on occasion.
...and also, Ben is my fave character as well. It's a shame, he seemed like a really nice guy but in these movies the stay-girl is supposed to be a virgin so in some fucked up way fate had to keep the two of them from getting together. Fate is a bitch and we all know fate is immovable, like a mountain.
It would have been smarter for them to have set up that Michael fucked with the cop's brakes or something. Edit: I spelled brakes like breaks the first time.
...and also, wasn't he a little old to be trick-or-treating? And why would Mike Godfrey let his friend just stumble around a neighborhood after they had been drinking? Totally irresponsible friend.
I never understood the whole "prom" thing in the first movie. Halloween is in October, most proms are in the spring near the end of the school year. Homecoming is in the fall but not prom - what the fuck is wrong with the Haddonfield school district?
There needs to be a documentary on Ben Tramer in his memory.

I converted one of those into a screen accurate h1 that I painted professionally with acrylic and brushes. Looks awesome. Hair is able to be dyed too.
