Nice one. Please can l apply to the university of Turku, along with Helsinki University in the same application in the recommended application portal? I am interested in the same masters degree programme in the two universities?
Hi! You can apply to the degree programmes at the University of Turku during the first joint application round (usually in January). Joint application means that you can apply to up to six (6) study programmes with one application form in Studyinfo. These 6 options may include degree programmes from one or several different higher education institutions that also offer degree programmes in the first joint application round. Please check on the universities' websites if they take part in the joint application or not (some universities in Finland do, some have their own application periods).
Hi! The motivation letter template can be found from this site: opintopolku.fi/konfo/en/hakukohde/1.2.246.562.20.00000000000000036591/valintaperuste And here is the direct link: www.utu.fi/sites/default/files/public%3A/media/file/Mechanical_Engineering.pdf
Hi, I was wondering if for the transcript of records it would be acceptable to download it from my student portal and then get an official translation of it or if I should retrieve an official ToR from my Uni even before the phase of the application in which we must submit the official documents? Also, given that my current semester's exams will only be finished the 12th of january, and that it will take some more time for them to be graded, I will probably not only have to apply without the last semester of my degree's results but also without this current semester's results : would my application still be acceptable?
The transcript of records must be an official document. The official can be an electronic version downloaded from a student portal if it includes signatures and can be verified. The admission decisions will be made based on the academic documents you provide. You should provide the most current transcript.
The application form is available in the Studyinfo.fi online portal. You can find a link to the application form on the page of the programme you wish to apply to.
Hello! The Letter of Motivation should address each of the following points clearly and concisely. Applicants will be scored directly based on how well they answer each. In the letter use subheadings to indicate the sections addressing each of the points: 1) Describe your reasons for applying for the programme (explain your expectations and its contribution to your personal and professional development) 2) Describe your suitability for the programme (explain how your strengths and background such as previous studies and work experience align with the programme) 3) A topic of research interest (explain why and how you are planning to investigate it)
Can I apply if the certificate to validate that I graduated from my bachelors is not in English, Finnish or Swedish? Do I need to translate the certificate?
What is a preliminary research plan?
