Thanks for using footage from the 1970s Superman movies. These films starring Christopher Reeve had heart and a real story via a solid script that focused on character.
And Superman #298 (which you showed) was my very first Superman comic! Thanks.
    Hope you'll do a Top 10 Vintage G. I. Joe: A Real American Hero figures & vehicles.

Never really a Superman fan, but I think I have the smaller figure which was in the play set, along with Batman and Robin, possibly late 70's early 80's? - interesting list Tony and the Spiderman mangle toy...Hhhhmmm gonna have to look that one up 👍 👌

That Fortress of Solitude was more a mash up of Hall of Justice and other scale sets than it's own creation. I prefer the 8" Mego Superman over either the 12" versions or the Clark Kent version (the latter is neat, but playability in the sandbox was limited). I always had a thing for the Supermobile, even though the hands made little sense, the need for a space craft for Supes as he clears the yellow sun or after exposure to kryptonite (like in SuperFriends) justified it's existence enough for me to want one.

HAHAHAHA I love how Superman is sitting alone at that huge table.
    (In solitude of course.)

I liked my 8 inch Mego Superman, and the 1979 Remco energized Superman with x-ray vision.

Good line up. I didn't know Superman beat GI Joe to the action figure punch. Although I guess GI Joe can still boast being the first all plastic action figure. My first Superman action figure as a kid was one that came with a kryptonite ring you could wear and when you held it close to Superman, he'd fall over. Kind of a dark action feature when you think about it.

I think they felt they needed to give the toy and action feature but I agree, firing rockets just didn't make sense!

I had the 12" Mego Superman and the Supermobile shown in the thumbnail. I still have the Supermobile and the comics it was featured in but sadly all my Action Men and Mego dolls were sold when I had no money to pay some bills 20 years ago.

Hey Tony. That was pretty interesting about number 1. I never knew of this Superman figure, He reminds me of the classic Fleischer cartoons from that era. From your list, I know I love the Mego 12 inch Superman. My favorite is the Christopher Reeve version, which I proudly have. But I wish I could find the traditional comic book version, like the one you have. Also from your list, I love the Kenner Super Powers Clark Kent, but I also love the Super Powers Superman figure as well. For my own list, I love the Mego 8 inch Superman, as well as both the Mego Comic Action and Pocket Super Heroes Superman figures. On your list, I love the Mego Fortress of Solitude. The conference table & chairs remind me of the table and chairs in the Hall of Justice on the long running SuperFriends series. A couple of oddity toys I love are the Ben Cooper made rubber Superman figure. And I love the AHI Superman parachutist figurine, even though Superman does not need a parachute (unless he is in a red sun area and has no powers). And although I never had it, I love the look of the Remco Energized Superman and his transparent plastic red cape. Thanks again for these great video reviews. :)

There is just too many great Superman toys. I'm partial to the Kenner Super Powers Superman. But my 1st Superman was the Comic Action Heroes Superman by MEGO. I just purchased a Total Justice Superman by Kenner and right now he's my favorite. The ToysRUs exclusive NECA Superman figure is a fine figure also. Like I said, just too many. Thanks for sharing.

Fortress ,of Solitude , yet Superman has a large table with lots of chairs. Like he's expecting the J.L.A. dropping by.

I was hoping the Magna Heroes version would be in your top ten. That is such a cool version, and so hard to find. It's on my wish list. Great video, love the oddness of these old toys.

Thank you for the quick reply. My older brother got one of these for Christmas all those years ago and I broke it on him a couple days later. I was VERY young. I’ve always thought about finding another one for him as a sentimental peace offering 😊

I still have my 12in fly away action Superman MIB. And I have a 1977 MOC Batman. I have a few more originals too. My Mattell Mork figure is one of my favorite that I own. It's not a great figure by any means but there is just something about it. I really like the packaging too.

I had a Mego Superman when I was seven years old. Ironically, though I love superheroes to this day, Superman isn't one of my favorites. Batman is more my speed.
