my headcannon is that its a different paul each time, and in fact none of them is called paul but the first one, which didnt make it, and every subsequential 'mate' she got, she just called paul cause 'thats such a paul thing to do' or some other rationalization. Or maybe simple lack of object permanence, which with her character, would perfectly fit.
The reason I love her is her jokes are often awesomely sardonic and honest observations. There are moments where they could've genuinely answered the question while enjoying the humor

Philosophers would argue that those 9 minutes you wasted never existed in the first place, by which point you would have given up talking to them and opened a packet of biscuits instead.
2:07 I found it boring. But I wasn’t sure if it was boring because it was boring or if it was boring because it was good, like the theater. That’s brilliant, seriously. It has sort of scientific causation tied with dopamine, gratification and the idea of usefulness≈ entertainingness.
That seemed to be the equivalent of the Karl Howman Brush Strokes scenes from an earlier series. I found it a bit tedious...until I paid more attention to the scrolling subtitles ...😆

If there is a place where comedy reached the absolute top, a true zenith, that place is the UK. While in my country people were living under a military junta, these people had Monty Python. I am 46 years old, i have laughed with comedians and jokes and movies coming from anywhere, but no other place comes close to the brilliance of comedy coming from the UK.
Similarly to how it takes a great singer to pretend to be a bad singer, it takes cunning to be this dim-witted. I've been accused of saying things other people only think, so I can relate. That being said, no one holds a candle to Philomena.
Jesus. I can’t imagine the parents pain. From an ugly custody battle for their kids, to burying their kids. I’d break and never be put back together. I’d forever remain shattered. My condolences.

Her analysis of Russell Brand is brilliant 🤣
Also it's a marvel how her mate Paul is still alive by this point haha

Female Karl Pilkington.
Is that you, Russel Brand?
The fact that Beyonce has an album called "Renaissance" now really shows how powerful this woman is.
Very underrated comment!
She's a pro to keep a straight face every time. I know she's laughing on the inside

Logic at the maximun level
The catapultism joke is fucking hilarious
I launched it when she said that.
Her being referred to as 'entity' gave me the giggles 😂 like not doctor, reporter, British person nah E N T I T Y 😂
4:28 "Philomena Cunk Entity"
That got me 😂
Her take on Russell Brand is so spot on.
"What he's saying might actually be stupid but it's hard to tell because he's saying it with clever words. So the only people who can tell are clever themselves, and they already think everyone's stupid compared to them anyway."😂
“He cut through all that by talking in Victorian”
That made me burst out laughing.
I feel like I wasted 9 minutes of my life watching this woman, but I was watching with a smile on my face!
Philosophers would argue that those 9 minutes you wasted never existed in the first place, by which point you would have given up talking to them and opened a packet of biscuits instead.
@@tbmofoulprinceromero my mate Paul once opened a pack of biscuits with his teeth, and pulled three of them out. His teeth, not the biscuits.
This is the best thing since the release of the Belgian Techno Anthem "Pump Up The Jam"
My favourite one is when she's talking about Chernobyl & calls it a Warburton's bread factory that's caught fire
Philomena’s mate Paul is the most interesting and unfortunate man in the world.
Lol the Russel Brand bits are too true!! 😂
Aged so well
Right on the money!
I lost it at "appropriating clown culture." 🤣
Why did I only recently hear about this woman? She's absolutely hilarious!
Lol when she says she'll be figuring out how to take the noise out of plates... I almost believed it for a second.
The "taking the noise out of plates" makes me laugh uncontrollably for a good 15 minutes every time I watch it.
“What do those lyrics mean?” Will never not be funny!😂
Ah the 3 musketeers. A book about 4 swordsmen.
I love how she has all these stories about her mate Paul, I kind of want to hear him tell his stories.
Her mate Paul could probably write a book on his life experiences and it would be a best seller. Maybe even get a 100% on rotten tomatoes.
Who can't love her English accent🥰 and the way she leaves people with a confusing stare 😵💫 after one of her questions🤭.

I realize that she's reading a script but I am completely and utterly in love with Diane Morgan.
Comedy is still largely about delivery and Diane has the delivery down perfectly.
"my mate Paul", he sounds like the life of the party!
I honestly have no idea how i got here but i am now binge watching all these compilations while at work and im just sitting here laughing by myself 😂
