I sometimes have to take a step back and realize we are only 60 chapters into this: The Sojo arc (who at the time we thought was too good of a villain for that early in the story) - The auction arc (the hakuri development and Kyora Sazanami becoming a great villain) right into this now with Hishaku and now you throw in the Samura development. Its crazy how good this has become in such a short amount of time, and it's just getting started.

Chihiro before was like the 17 kid who had his first heartbreak and thought that he was being deep by being edgy till now. Now he’s a kid who’s had a wake up call about what the weight of carrying a blade actually is

Underrated moment that KILLED me is the panel of Chihiro looking at samura saying “was this you…?” The way his eyes are drawn shakily. Like they’re about to break. We’ve seen him upset, wavering a good bit even. But we haven’t seen him truly fall apart. He’s looking at a man who, presumably, was his biggest idol out of all the war heroes outside his father, standing over the body of someone who also revered, even trained under and stood next to, that very idol. That expression on Chihiro’s face is not him breaking, but shattering. Incredible video and analysis as always, you’ve become one of my favorite people to come to for weekly updates/perspectives. Keep it up.

I wonder if Samura knows (or is testing) a way to bypass the ownership rule of the swords by killing Chihiro and Uruha, severing the bond but they can still be resuscitated. I think it would be great for Uruha to survive so that he can mentor Chihiro on how to take his mastery of Enten to the next level.

I feel like crow's ability is to choose whether or not to keep the person hit by it alive or dead, as crows are associated with death and in fiction death acts in the same way. When chihiro was blitzed by samura u saw the same feather in the same manner as when he used crow, and then that last page. Samura doesnt want to kill Chihiro he wants to save him from committing sin like they have. Uruha is definitely dead though.

What do CSM, Fire Punch and Berserk have to do with the reason of the controversy? None of these can be interpreted as racist/anti-immigration, quite the opposite even. I'm not saying Drama Queen is-to me it's intentionally made this way to disturb the readers and for them to feel like they shouldn't root for the protagonists-but it can certainly be interpreted that way until we get more chapters
