Christel Heydemann's Graduation Address - HEC Paris

During her keynote speech at HEC Paris 2023 graduation ceremony, Christelle Heydemann, the CEO of Orange , shared her experience as a business leader and gave invaluable advice to Masters students, encouraging them to stay humble, open to diversity, explore, listen, and reach out to others to continue to grow throughout your life.
Her motto: Put people back at the heart of the company. "Beyond strategic plans and financial presentations, it's human issues that are the most important to keep a company moving forward."
She encouraged HEC students to take an interest in science:
"Science plays an essential role in understanding and transforming the world. This will be even truer in a more digital, complex and technological environment".
And urged them
- to fight social discrimination, Stand up for what’s right: "Transforming the world also requires reaching out to ensure others find their place. It is up to us, the most privileged, & the best equipped to make room for those who have no voice in the matter"
- to fight for a more inclusive world: "#Diversity never appears as the straightest or easiest road; yet it is unquestionably the richest."
