I have the Sherman as my first wheel, & it has been amazing. I'm only sitting at about 600 miles on it, but many of those miles were spent around the house throughout the winter. Every person said that it was a terrible idea for a first wheel, but I wanted something to grow into. Just work on slower speeds first, before working up to the higher speeds.
Good info for the masses! Amusingly enough, I've all 3 bases covered myself. Got a MCM5v2 as my portable hood bombing skatepark trickin wheel, S18 (TR1 shod like yours) for 90% dirt & mtb trails (I keep up with the mtb boyz & while they beat me going down, I kick their ass going up & leave them jaws asunder doing some serious steep inclines) & an EXN for allround duty. Now you need to take your S18 out in the snow to play this winter 😁
The obvious conclusion: KS18XL is the best wheel overall. It is not crazy big, or crazy heavy. Still has that impressive range on a single charge, 50kmph top speed, and it is most reliable wheel from all that was shown in this video. Plus, it has most comfortable trolley handle on entire EUC market. You simply won't find better handle.
Just saw this vid, thank you for this. Wanted to check out some 18' and 20' wheel comparison. Correct me if I'm wrong but at 11:34 I believe you are riding the S18 NOT the 18XL coz you can clearly see the suspension at the back. I have an 8in, 10in, 12in, 16in wheel collection so was in the market for an 18 and/or 20. I'm a conservative rider and just need these for a last mile or 2 commute... so battery size is not an issue for me, I'm more on the comfort and portability. Thanks again for making this, you somewhat convinced me of going with suspension. Maybe an S18 then a Master next 😉 Hoping with the development of the solid state batteries they can make these things lighter in the future🤞
Looks like you’re right! I must have dropped the wrong clip in. The stats don’t change though because they were all written down. If you’re just into last mile EUCs then you should steer away from big wheel; they’re totally overkill for that. S18 is an awesome wheel if you don’t care for top speed and range.

Great review, I have the S18 and love it, I'm not a speed merchant and the S18 range is more than enough for me. The S20 has caught my eye how ever, perhaps because I like the S18 so much. Time will tell :-)

I have a V8f. It’s my first wheel and I love it but only a couple of months in and I am constantly running into its speed limit (35 km/h). Next year I want to get a V12.
All in all, the V8f has a lot to offer in a small light package. It's possible to do a small mod and fit a 2.4 wide tire. With a knobby tire it's quite capable.
Braking test: 11:10, testing V8F, GF has jacket; V10F: GF gets hot, removes jacket; 18XL: GF has sweater... S18: yuck, the trend did not continue... :P Hihihi. Very good job man, kudos from the other side of the world. P.S. those referral links in "my gear" all return 404 (owning a RS19, looking for a jacket) P.P.S. @@landocycle IDK man...the V11 just has a certain smooth glide on rough tarmac the S18 is missing. To me, the S18 is almost a one trick pony. It might do that one trick marginally better than V11 ( and I believe that it's so close in that regard that it probably comes down to rider experience more than anything else), but the V11 had enough chops in all categories to become my daily driver. Sold my S18 after I got it. Don't get me wrong, the S18 treated me right and is solid for sure. I tend to like Kingsong wheels usually...but inmotion really hit all the right notes with the v11.
You manage to cut-off V8F? Wow I did crazy acceleration during the hillclimb and it alway tilted back, told me to get out and stop. Very safe wheel in this matter (and very annoying), you are crazy man :D. I have Begode T3 and breaking and acceleration is definitelly much better than on V8F. Maybe I am not crazy enought with that V8F :D. Have you ever tried T3? The only bad thing is the tire, otherwise it is perfect machine :).
I'm ~200 lbs and a beginner. The range diff between between the s18 and 18xl is in no way a deal breaker. I have a question. Is it possible to swap a different battery w more capacity into it once the one on it is at end of life?
Would u recommend the v8f for riding on Gravel paths? I am planning on getting an euc and I would use it to go threw the woods and there r only gravel paths...
V8F: motor 1000 w nominal, 2000 w peak, weight 35 lbs. V10F motor: 2000 w nominal, 2500 w peak, weight 45 lbs. ... yet the V8F had the shortest braking distance, which would imply a high torque motor. You were able to do five hard braking runs on the V8F, but blew the fuse on the second acceleration run. Did you ever get an explanation for this? On my V8F, I have a EUC World set to trigger a warning for maximum current (acceleration) at 25 amps . The V8F can brake much harder than it can accelerate.
Yes, I did do a conclusion on another video - the V8F range test. It just blew the fuse on the board so I had to re-solder in a new one, good as new! Thanks for watching :)

Looking at the video, there didn't seem to be much difference in the runs, but the first run didn't beep, the second run beeped twice before blowing the fuse. As for braking, my vendor feels that overlean would occur instead of cutout, due to the way the motor and circuit board handle braking.
@@landocycle - EUCs are more efficient at braking then accelerating, which is why the V8F out braked the other wheels, but with a max speed of 21.6 mph, braking distance isn't going to be that long anyway. What I don't get is the high speed, relatively low torque wheels, where braking distance is a factor. Other reviews of the V10F noted its acceleration wasn't much different than the V8F, and although the V10F didn't cutout, one reviewer noted pedal wobble in his acceleration tests, and stated he didn't feel comfortable trying to push it any further. That reviewer also jerked the V10F back and forth while riding at low speed, but wasn't able to get it to beep or overlean.
@@rcgldr Yeah the V10F doesn’t really feel that different in terms of acceleration, It’s still a nicer ride in my opinion though. The bigger battery, motor, tire makes it feel a little less sketchy.

Hello, I'm from Brazil I'm in doubt between the S18 and the 18XL, which one do you recommend? I want speed, agility, comfort and I live in the city. I work 10km from home. I will walk around 30km a day
Comfort for the S18, they’re both equally agile. The 18XL is safer to ride at higher speed due to the increased battery. Range is way better on the 18XL. As you can see, there’s no clear winner. You’ll need to prioritize what’s most important 😂
S18 - beautiful, comfy ride, EUCs are safer with suspension IMO. Less range and slower, waterproofing not as good as V12. V12 - extremely well built, great speed, range, waterproofing. 16” wheel is more squirrelly and no suspension is a deal breaker for me.
Yepp. There is... Actually, everything that has at least 2000w motor and 1500wh battery will be fine for you. Kingsong 18xl - just fine for you as a first wheel. Then there is some Gotway wheels with good enough specs, but I don't recommend getting one of those as they unreliable. You may also look for new Inmotion V12. Veteran Sherman, Veteran Abrams, New upcoming Kingsong S20 - all of them can hold your weight. Now, it is important to understand that heavy man like you shouldn't do extreme ride. Gain speed slowly, and take more space to brake slowly, unless you have to. And bro, consider some weight loosing, as it is NOT healthy for you.
The V8F is a Miata? Have you ever driven an MX-5/Miata? They are THE funnest car currently in production, they are a the definition of a Sports car. How you described the V8F made it sound more like a small sub compact front wheel drive hatchback like a VW Polo. Edit: A Civic isn't an upgrade from an MX-5, a civic is a front wheel drive economy box, an MX-5 is a rear wheel drive 2 seat convertible sports car.
I'm now one of those assholes that think that any wheel that is not 50km/h capable is not worth considering... I began on a KS14S, felt it was zippy as hell and its 30km/h top speed would be as much as I'll ever need. 100km in, sold it for 1600wh 84v MSuper V3S+ (basically a pre production MSX) and wouldn't imagine going back to something slower... Awful how your mind and body adapts to speed
Get the latest v8(whatever) and beat the living snot out of it. Duct tape it together and beat it again. Put 2500 miles on it. Be able to ride it slow. One footed. Backwards. Till it’s second nature. Get the latest euc that isn’t on the first generation model with a seat and suspension. Keep the v8 that has become more duct tape than euc and remember how far you’ve come. ❤
Gotway suck at quality. Everyone who recommend those wheels should be responsible for peoples burned homes after. Gotway-Begode is a strong NO buy. You want fast 16" wheel - go for Inmotion V12. At least it won't burn entire condominium building.

But I am also in aviation and have experienced people using runways for alternative purposes like dog walking, and when you arrive in a j3 cub that may not have a radio, and you aren't listening to the radio anyway while filming an EUC vid, I am just going to say... really... stay off the runway for non-aviation purposes... is it really so hard??

Gotway is for mental people who doesn't care about public safety at all. Those wheels can go on fire any moment.

Thank for watching! I’ve rode the V10F lots in rain without issue. I think the V12 has better water proofing if you plan on riding in the rain a lot.

I’ve rode the V11 a fair bit. It’s a nice wheel but it doesn’t replace my S18 :)

It was the V8F. It was caused from doing an acceleration test on a tiny wheel 😂

V8F claimed weight is 32 lbs, not 40 lbs. However, my V8F weighs about 35 lbs.

I got cut out on my mten3 the other day doing 24mph. Luckily I was suited up and no damage to my wheel and I only got bruises.👍

It's got a really thin little tire and low pedals, it's really more meant for putting around the city. 3" wide tires are much better for gravel.

Nah, there is tons of reasons for getting a slow wheel.
But, some people is all about speed - that is fine.
What is best wheel for short fat guys that like single track.
I think the V12 HT seems promising for heavier riders if they can overcome the V12 HS issues.
