While City were looking for a way to score in United's penalty area during the game, a cross was played in By Rodri but Diogo Dalot intervened with a headed clearance the ball was about to fall into the path of Phil Foden, but he felt a soft touch from Bruno Fernandes behind him and decided to Dive with an intention to fall into the legs of Scott Mctominay who noticed his moves ensured he avoided contact.
Phil Foden was immediately seen appealing to the referee for a Penalty knowing fully well that there was no contact. However, The referee wasn't convinced and waved for the game to be continued.
