The MV is directed by Bang Jaeyeob, who has been working with Stray Kids ever since God's Menu. He directed God's Menu, Back Door, All In, Thunderous, Scars, Maniac and Circus. So basically every single SKZ title track since 2020, both Korean and Japanese.
Also, this song is truly one of the best ones they've ever released. I don't understand how they manage to outdo themselves every single time. I'm speechless

"The first SKZ that appear are them and the industry, they're stuck in a routine making the same show over and over only to entertain people, the clones are them looking at each other doing the same show and they want to change that (like free them), if you notice in one shot when the clones and the originals find each other Felix throws a box of matches to Seungmin that says "Stays" then with those matches they blow the entire circus and at the end they all join to make a show finally following their own rules, like saying SKZ blew the "circus" (industry) thanks to them and us and they do whatever they want."

Each member's styling and the overall aesthetic of the MV were phenominal. Something about Stray Kids' japanese MVs just hit different.

I think in the first part of the video the skz dressed in black were the actual circus performers, they had the crowd cheering and everything, while their doppelgangers watched. Then when the circus closed, the skz dressed in black and white decided to perform in secret, but then when Seungmin came back he picked up the mic on the floor and saw them performing, and then the rolls were reversed, with their doppelgangers performing and then watching

I've read a theory(?) on twitter, the skz in black are the actual performers and them on the other outfit are outsiders, that's why they are sneaking to go inside at the start of the mv. I think they went there to learn from the performers and then at the end, they all dance together hehe

As always your reaction was so entertaining! I had my hand over my open mouth for most of the time when I watched the MV the first time. They all delivered! My favorite vocal was Han's talk/sing part but Seungmin's vocal near the end was a chef's kiss. And Mr. Facial Expression King Hyunjin is too much. So may favorite parts! I can never pick a favorite SKZ's song there are too many but I really loved this.

I watched it once then came here to watch again with you, and I have no real clue what's going on. The black and red wardrobe SKZ was the act in the circus with the crowd first, and the black and checkered SKZ snuck in backstage to have a wee sneaky spy. Then later the black and checkered SKZ are vibing in the middle of the empty circus after they snuck in, playing with the lights and mics and everything, and the black and red SKZ are watching them and like judging and approving of their performance. The denim version of them seemed like they were only backstage, I dunno maybe they got blown up by the massive explosion the other two versions set off (using STAY matches no less- involving STAY in their shenanigans). 😂

I think that the theorie for this mv goes like this:
There are spectators skz (sp. skz) and circus skz (c. skz) and I.N. from sp. skz found out that there is a c. skz and they (sp. skz) go and watch the show. They go to the show and are very impressed. c. I.N. notices, that there is another skz under the audience and leaves a mic for them. After everything is closed, the sp. skz go into the circus and try their own thing, which the c. skz notice and find very interesting. So they put that into their new show and work together with the sp. skz.
And yes I totally died throughout the whole mv😳😳😳😳

Dual sets of SKZ run through their entire history, in both the main Korean storyline and the Japanese storyline. They literally have a multiverse (that's a quote, not supposition). Hellevator, Side Effects, All In, Astronaut, Levanter, etc all show it. In this one, the black-clad set are the ringmasters, while the black-and-white-clad set are harlequins, aka clowns. (I'm still working on the denim-clad set, but I think they're likely just the harlequins in different clown outfits.)
