I'm wondering if the aggressive cat might be their mother. I took in a mother cat and her 4 babies and decided to keep them all. She was a wonderful mother to them when they were little, but now they are almost 6 months old, their mama gets annoyed with them and tries to "beat up on" them sometimes. I'm always going around the house trying to break up little kerfuffles between them.
I don't think that's the mother. Since the kittens are orange, I really think the mother's orange too. (genetics lol)
@@jasmins190 Sometimes it is hard to tell. I have seen solid black cats with white and golden kittens I have seen red cats with grey and black kittens those kittens look like their about the age of weaning. I think there is a good chance it’s the mom besides she does have some red in her hair though obviously not as much as the kittens.

Yees they seem so confused ! Because they are kittens, they don't know the world (yet). They are learning (the wild way on these streets, unfortunatly (or maybe it's a normal way of discovering the world for cats, no matter the context))
I think it's their mom unfortunately.
It is because of the smell of the food that the older cat becomes agressive and territorial. Its not that difficult to understand. By being around and "playing" with the kittebs, he actually endangers them, because they become the target of frustration for the tabby.
No I think she’s the mom. After kittens get a certain age the mom cat starts to attack it. It is basically teaching them to start fending for themselves.

@@90scarguy Yes a bit extreme. I always would carry a straw with tissue paper, when the feral cats would get aggresive with my house/yard cat and me. Nobody really gets hurt. But ,it is an extreme deterrent to the feral cats. Yes . .spitwads are very effective, accurate,not painful and inexpensive. Now ,tell the whole world.

Feeding isn’t rewarding bad behaviour, it’s feeding. This person is creating this aggression by feeding the cats too close together. They’re hungry, you’d be aggressive too if you were always hungry. That attacking cat knows food is coming, can probably smell it, and is anxious not to lose his share.

In their case when they have no idea where or when their next meal is coming food becomes their means of survival and their animal instincts take over to fight for their survival. Unlike domestic cats who never go without a meal, they never feel hunger pains or the need to hunt for their food just to stay alive. So in that case, yes, food would be considered a reward for an easy carefree life.

I thought maybe the angry cat was the mama. But then I saw the 5th cat show up towards the end (at the 4:06 mark) that had the same coloring as the three kittens. I thought for sure that cat number 5 was the papa or mama, and they were coming to the rescue of their kittens. Not sure what happened, as the video kinda ended towards the arrival of the 5th cat.
I do know the chances of a red tabby (5th cat) being male outweighs the chances of it being female. Likewise, the chances of a brown mackeral tabby (the angry cat) being female far outweighs the odds of being male.
It could be that the angry cat is the mama, and cat number 5 is papa.
