New gen merc maintenance costly and not affirdable for a Merc enthusiasist.But 123 E class is most affordable,It was used in Germany as Taxi for that period just like our Amby Diesel.

New gen Merc after 124 series it is a driving machine Added with Electronic boards,Sensors Etc.Electronic fault to the vehicle based on ECM and sensors cant be repairable a local Electronic technician ,durability of the Electronic spares low when compared Toyota vehicles. After 124 models steering system changed from Worm and roller type to rack and pinion (Hydraulic power assisted).Oil leak observed from steering box both side on running less than1.5lakhsKm.But 124,123 and prior models It is easily run less than 4Lakhs in India.In Foreign countries with good road condtion It will give service more than 7LakhsKms.Eventhough Toyota vehicle Rack and Pinion steering system It will run more than 3LakhsKm.Main Eg : Lot of Innovas 2000,2001,2002 models are in our roads with trouble free running with least maintenance. Now how many number 210, E class in our roads?.Where they have gone.?Why innova running 2000,2001 models?
