The wheelie bin race had me in stitches 1st time I saw it.
This is such typical Aussie silliness😆 love it. I’d watch this over the Olympics anyday.😁 The old wet towel rolled up into a kangaroo tail is a killer.
A wet tea towel flick done just right can inflict some serious pain, and welts. I've dished out some beauties, and been on the receiving end a few times.

At Uni in the UK many year ago, Winter time saw the Aussies, Canadians and the Brits face-off in the Great Hall for sock-speed skating, sock slalom and the sock-scrag-slide (basically, curling; but with a small, besocked woman as the stone). Plenty of injuries, but at least we stayed warm.
All of that sliding around bought to mind dome lines from an Aussie Country Song. Adam Brand's "I Did What" it's a story telling song about a Man finding out about what He'd done while drunk at a party. The lines that stuck in My mind was the following. "DidI cause quite a scene when I stripped off My Jeans and did a slide in My Underwear!"
I remember that song, it was on his "Good Friends" album from 2000...it was written by Ann Peebles and Don Bryant...I think it might have been a cover, I'm sure I've heard someone else sing it too...
These ads are funny and I like the Grubs as well but I'll be glad when gambling advertising goes the same way as cigarette advertising. The amount of ads before sporting events is way over the top.
Yes!! As a child, sliding on the pox at 60-40 country dances in Australia. Massive run up, half way up the hall, then slide the rest of the way on your slippery shoes! :-))
This is just so uniquely Aussie, taking the piss outta ourselves. It just show's exactly what our sense of humour is like & the Seppo's comment put the icing on the cake, only the Poms & Kiwi's would get our sense of humour, the Seppo's probs wouldn't get it & think it was real 🤣.... i wonder if the yanks know we & the poms call them Seppo's 🤣🤣
I was a bit befuddled there for a sec, thinking I must be older than I thought, couldn't get the SEPPO'S. reference. Then it clicked! 🤦♀️🤣

They need to put the 100m sprint finish line at the start of the knee slide so you could get 2 medals in one race.
