I once heard Robert Drysdale say "when Roger mounts you, it's like a volkswagon being parked on your chest". He is my favorite because he moves are very fundamental, but perfected. He doesn't do berimbolo, 50/50 any situation specific moves. He just does the moves that white belts are taught, he just does them better than Black belts.
My Professor told me some stories of how Roger would come in to some team trainings and you never new if he was gonna murder everyone or work from bad positions then murder everyone🤙
My Professor is a black belt under Rodger and has told us all some great stories. From watching him in seminars and videos, I always tried to work out why he’s the GOAT and I think it’s because he does the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu perfectly both offensive and defensive.
@@cosmicremnant2902 if you really knew Roger Gracie you should know that if he wants to submits everyone in the gym in less than 1 minute for opponent you wouldnt talking that shit...
@@ancestraljns1747 I do Bjj for quite a while and I know how it is. They go soft on you for sure, but they also don't let you submit them. The guy is quite strong and knows his Bjj too. Not the easiest roll for Roger.....Again he is no god and his competition times are over too. Still Roger is a beast. Don't worry...He will stay being your hero :)
Most of - if not all- of the "Sparrings" with any member of the gracie family are actually an attempt to beat a legend by giving everything they've got because their dream is to beat a legend and go around and say "I beat him and then hopefully become famous.
You have a legend on the mat who is obviously going light, and you go balls to the wall against him? Horrible form. If they were in a private training session, I get it. However, this was an attempt to show off.
Verdade.

Roger is going 20 percent at most. The other dude is giving it all he’s got. Make no mistake about that.
i was thinking the same thing. such a methodical pace.

Wow, that dude did really well against Roger. Just making a legend like that work a bit is a victory in its own right.
Roger is going 10%!! The dude is givin 100%!!
10% my ass. Professionals are also just humans. He did make him work, period.

@UC6QZaJ79PMNGXzh9JEWmoUw stfu you hater
This is the type of guy that goes around telling people, "I almost got em. Roger was lucky". LMAO
Fico impressionado com a calma do Roger
ele fez isso a vida toda isso para ele é a coisa mais normal que ir ao banheiro e tomar cafe ao acordar
Man props to the guy rolling with him. He’s a huge human! But man does Roger make it look easy. His pressure on that pass was nuts
Keep in mind, that guy rolling with Roger is no slouch.
Haha, the two girls in the back give a shit about watching Roger and prefer to roll on their own :-)

Why is everyone just watching? Grab a partner and lets GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Foi finalizado? Roger GOAT 🐐
Roger gracie ☝🏾
so cute that this guy thinks he'a going to sweep roger with shitty lasso guard
That was a good roll no need to hate lol
Before 1.05
Everyone: lol this guy is too old and out of shape, I'm gonna smash him when it's my turn.
After 1.05
Everyone: oh....
Roger took it easy in the beginning The other guy showed no respect And abviously paid 4 it
Roger is a champion, he doesnt need anyone going easy with him
you don't roll do you?
Start to train and talk less shit man. My advice to you
Why would the guy who's half Roger's size go easy on Roger, the consensus greatest Jiu Jitsu competitor of all time?
top
Usou magia, deu um peido para deixar o adversário fora de si.
Roger is 6’5 and 250
no. he's not.
More like 6'4 and 220ish
Thanks for the pointless statement "Roger is 6’5 and 250". Here's a statement for ya, you sir are an Arce!
he's 6'4, 215lbs
He fought as low as 185 in the UFC so obviously he does not walk around at 250.
Damn it, I wanted to watch the girls.

This isn't the nationals lil buddy
Reminds me of my rolls with white belts that are used to being able to hurt people in the streets
Nothing fancy. Just no nonsense, straight to the point Jiu-Jitsu. White belt techniques done to perfection!
Whats the chicks name rolling with roger?
Massa a passagem no início do vídeo!!
