I think the two biggest reasons Americans don't travel more are: 1. We get like 2 weeks of vacation a year. If we're lucky. 2. We don't have as many options for traveling internationally as someone living in say Europe where you're surrounded by 20 different countries that are accessible by train or a short-haul flight. This is why you so frequently see Americans visiting Europe and spending 2 days in Berlin, 2 days in Madrid, 2 days in Paris, etc.
In general, I'm sure that people who have not visited the U.S. know intellectually that it is geographically a large area populated by many people (3rd largest population after China and India) with diverse cultural backgrounds. I don't think, however, unless someone has been here and traveled through much of it can they grasp the real enormity of it. It takes days just to drive from the mid-west to Arizona and back and in the process there are dramatic changes in geography and people. And with that, you've only scratched the surface. Yes, as with any country, the U.S. has positive and negative aspects, but to stereotype Americans as simply ignorant on the basis of these snapshot videos is unfair and unrealistic.
7:48 Um, no. I was born in America, so I am an American. My ancestors, several generations ago came from Britain, Ireland and Germany. I was born here, where did I emigrate from?
Besides geographic isolation, many Americans are too busy trying to earn a living to keep up with what is happening outside their immediate surroundings. Working long hours, or multiple jobs, is common. Also, an American typically has only two weeks of vacation days per year.
Even a native Americans came at some point to that land - nobody is there from beginning of the Earth Regarding treatment on boarder control, we just need in EU make for Americans very same experiences. Reciprocity works
Hey amigo aleman! The video is of course very generalizing, so to say something nice about US Americans (5 minutes later): By incident you might find a US American with some intelligence 😂 I say US Americans, because all US people are American, but not every American is a US person!
Its a shame you watched that guys video, he isn't even American, so its mostly his own views. There is actually a video by an American who actually goes more into the culture, governmental structures and actually gives a better reasoning for the stupidity that exists. He did one on American gun laws as well.
The Education System is for Profit... Also most Americans barely speak one Language. They think like isolationist, who expect a consolidation of culture based on American Consumer Standards... Here in New Orleans Louisiana, one of the last hold outs... I can say it has Tragically turned into a Tourist's Trap... our City's Culture served as a Indicator City. New Orleans easy going attitude failing shows that the Spirt of the USA in Urban Areas is very damaged 💔 I'm refreshing my French language comprehension and Studying Ukrainian ... perhaps it might be time to educate myself in Europe; and return to my native New Orleans Louisiana with a refreshed mind.
I think most Americans are educated in a public school system, though I think it does vary depending on where you live. In say San Francisco children are more likely to go to private schools. Same with universities. Most American go to public universities unless you can afford a fancy private university.
@finleybaker6008 American public schools have excellent education. Many of the students don't pay attention and get low grades. Some rebellious students study on their own from library books, but some don't study at all and grow up to be stupid.

You need to meet more Americans. The irony here is thick.
You are right! It's culture and psychology. Thanks for the video.
