Psalm 75:6-7. Consider this, and Matthew 23:12 in the light of events in 1 Kings 1:5-6 concerning Adonijah, king David's son, exalting himself to be king versus 1 Kings 1:10-24, where Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, and the prophet Nathan, humble themselves before king David and he appoints Solomon as his successor.
