Aw, my mom (usually when feeling the stress of daily life) would often break out into this song. It always made us kids laugh and I think it made her feel a bit more relaxed too. Judy nailed it.

    No one comes close!
That's why so many younger people are discovering her on UA-cam.
One of the greatest things about Judy is that she's tireless.
So much love coming from such a beautiful soul ❤

One of my favourite numbers from the entire 26-episode series. Note how she has an expanded arrangement compared to her record (the orchestral bit in the middle), but someone forgot to tell her, and she reacts with surprise when the band suddenly deviates from what she was expecting... and then saves the day deftly when the mike feeds back at her. Some performers would consider all this a problem, but mistakes like this make Judy "live and laugh at it all", and she attacks the rest of the song with more joy than ever! If you like this version, go straight to "Carolina in the Morning", where she surprises herself and then goes for the best ending she ever had, for that song. A performer who, as she admitted, takes joy in the risks of performing 'live'.

Jesus! Hollywood just absolutely destroyed her!!! To watch her slowly deteriorating throughout her career for the sake of a fake pretty smile and entertainment, just breaks my heart! It’s so shameful that they used her for her talents and then expected her to put on a dress, smile, and cover up the “darker” side of her life with makeup’s for sequins. And when she didn’t want to do it anymore they discarded her as if she served no further purpose to them!!! She was a real jem with acting skills just as transportive as her singing voice! When she sang the lyrics would hop off the pages and come to life!! (And there are many of beautiful performers who still are unable to achieve that, in my opinion) Even now when I hear the strong lively character within her beautiful voice, I’m taken away! Far from whatever troubles me at the time and feel like I’m taken to a the whole new world that she creates with every song. A world where only her and I exist …!!! (I’m so dramatic, I know, but it’s honestly true … and clearly she’s a triggering topic for me 🤦🏽‍♀️ 💁🏽‍♀️) ♥️♥️
I get called “75” every time I say this cuz I’m 22 and most people I talk to my age have no idea who they are but Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra will hands down always be my favourite artists …… Any Day Any Time Forever!!!!!

You're the lucky one, Iyesha, so don't be too hard on the other 22year olds; just be grateful that you have had an experience which they haven't, and continue to hope that one day they, too, will be just as lucky. No one calls me '75' any more (they did five years ago), but I envy the 22s, because this great new technology brings Judy back to us with perfect visuals and great sound, any time we want it (I think the Garland performances are UA-cam's greatest contribution to the world today). When these performances were first shown, we Judy fans had to scrounge around for someone's reel-to-reel recording, or a visual captured by pointing a camera at the TV screen. But we gratefully did it... for we knew how privileged we were!

Judy is timeless...I'm 68, and remember her TV show, but glad that the younger generations are discovering this lady's talent. Few performers had that "magic" to keep audiences wanting for more...that's why Judy still remeains enormously popular years after her death!

Yes, her private struggles are obviously weighing on her on stage here. She still knocks it right out of the park anyway though.
