I still remember the day that I met him. It was one week before his passing while he was buying tacos from a taco truck next to a gas station on Santa Monica and Vine St. in Hollywood CA while I was homeless at the time. I used to hear his music every morning when I woke up and he motivated me to get off the streets and do better.
Will never forget Nipsey… I met him 2009 at a liquor store on Slauson. Me and husband William, saw Nipsey and another gentleman now, I know was Fatz, my husband said ‘is that Snoop Dogg? I was like ‘ naw, that’s Nipsey Hussle’ he was soooo happy that I knew who he was, I never forget him saying ‘ yes sister, yes! Shook hands with us. I will never forget that young man, and what he is doing for his community! The Marathon Continues 💙🏁
Literally was at the marathon store a week before he did for the red and blue roc nation SnapBack release. Crazy how if you don’t go back to the hood they call you a sellout but if you try to build your community up they’ll tear you down. It’ll never make sense

Nipsey is like Jesus in the sense that Jesus knew he had a bad past before his 30's (why he's not recorded between certain ages) but Jesus understood the sacrifice in that if you give your brother enough chances your brother will change, because you ARE your brother. If you want to bring it to a funny level it's the reason why Yoda from Star Wars was never went to the "Dark Side of the Force" in his 900 years. Eventually people like Eric Holder see the light, it may take them many lifetimes (of working with an agency to keep the black man down) and a heavy body count but they see, through all of that pain that torture they see.
