Mina was a founding member of a J-Pop group called GIRLFRIEND (GF). She is also a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano, vocals, and writing. The song Sky and Blue was used as a theme song for Black Clover. They do a live version of that song. My favorite of theirs is Full House (Full Version). Unfortunately GIRLFRIEND disbanded in March of this year and Mina started her own UA-cam channel and TikTok and is building her online presence. She's very talented and entertaining. Check her out and her former band. As always, stay happy healthy and safe. Enjoy.
Thank you so much Tiny Hat! for both things you said. I really value your support and kindness. I still remember the first time you tuned into my BM premiere and i was like, "this is a serious Madiac." I'm so grateful you appreciate what i've been doing!
Thinking about how MISA doesn't really upload any solo stuff on UA-cam, but then again, nobody in Band-Maid really does. Maybe because they're so prolific they don't need to. 7 albums in 7 years, more than any of the other people featured in this video. There are some fun Instagram videos though, like MISA, Kanami, and Akane playing blindfolded and nailing it. One of the most fun clips I've ever seen.
@@ronniebrucehalford8396 Oh, thanks for the link! They remove from UA-cam the compilation videos with those funny moments, and I keep forgetting that they were initially published on Twitter in Instagram because I rarely use them. Thanks!
Mina was in a really good band called Girlfriend. They were more of a pop/funk/rock band, similar to Scandal than Band-Maid. They did a lot of fun J-Pop covers and had some nice originals. Unfortunately, they couldn't survive the economics of Covid.
She has started a UA-cam channel. She does vlogs, one man band covers, and gaming stuff. She also adds English subtitles after a bit for her foreign fans as well.
It is a real shame they could not keep going. While their music was very much middle-of-the-road, it was well orchestrated and the girls all had good skills (clearly shown with Mina above).
I think they just weren't getting along anymore. Towards the end the guitarist was not there often. They were a manufactured band.. They were put together in middle school and trained to play the instruments (they all became good). They were out growing each other. Soon as they broke up, all the members started to ramp up their social media.
The fact that he included her and even mentioned Band Maid is basically an endorsement by Davie504. The fact is that none of the video of Misa fit the format of the other bassists in davie504's clip. They are all soloing, but MISA's solos are all short (sweet) and also never actual *solos* ... hell .. even Kanami's solos barely qualify as such as there is always something else going on (even if it's just Akane keeping the rhythm with insane fills in the background). So thumbs up for Davie and let's just rejoice that a famous youtuber promoted the band to his millions of followers ... now ... if we could get Rick Beato to even mention the band name in one of his "Rock music is dead" videos that would just be great:D Also : the bass battle jam at the end was epic (and nice rapping, Wave!;)
OMG! Just saw the video where Davie covered Misa, and it was TOO SHORT, and chose one with the most simple bass line. He deserves a good "Slapping"! On both cheeks! Check Mate!! Mate!!
Great vid. I also was a little sad she didn't get more time, but this the first time I actually hear him call out a band name and show the band's picture. BTW, I think that Pinkhage is a family friend of Yoyoka's family.
she never really did anything that would require a stank face, espcially since all of her stuff is rehearsed. Would love seeing her improvize and do more bluesy, jazzy stuff and see if she doesn't pull off a face after that lol

As good as MISA in what she does in the band, she never really does solo bass stuff, It would've been interesting to see her in a Davie504 video if she had actual solo content. MINA (the girl on the video) on the other hand although she was in a band she always released stuff by herself online. Also none of them are fluent in english, you don''t really need any big explanation for any of this, Davie just sends them his video and they just fill the blanks with their solos. The thing is that none of the Maids are doing "instrumental gymnastics". Anything they do, they do to make the song and the band sound better. That's their strength and what makes them unique. MISA is in my book the best bass player I ever heard, but she is far from the most technical, and that's the only thing Dave 504 cares about. On top of that, she uses a pick to make the sound better and more distinct, and that's a cardinal sin in for a lot of bass players who don't know how to use a pick or why it should be used. I still love Dave504 and other "solo" bass players doing their thing, but not in a band where the bass has another role.
@@nussekuddenxxx6564 Yeah, he was actually joking about it. Like, "the last time I decided to use a pick, that's what happened..." and then he shows an atomic bomb explosion 😅
Wave, not a Ric. At best, a new Jackson. Since we're talking Japanese, it's likely a Japanese company. They make great instruments. My 2 Fenders are MIJ and I love them.
I also rarely watch him. As @sammyF70 mentioned, Davie504 format is solo bass parts. It's all incredibly technical, but for me, it gets boring rather quickly. A true band playing together, like BAND-MAID, is real entertainment, while soloing artists will always be inferior, no matter how talented they are. So, this sort of virtual "jamming" Davie504 has put together in this video, is much nicer than his usual solo stuff. It's still a bit awkward, but it's fun.
@@billb.5183 He has chosen for himself that image of a snob, but in fact, it's just a stage persona. In reality, he's not genuinely negative, he actually promotes all those artists he pretends to "fight against."
