I was just re-watching your video and my memory was jogged on what I used know, but have totally forgotten. Amazing the details I can remember going back for more decades than I'm going tell you, then for some others . . .POOF, out of memory. This is my long-winded way of saying that I had totally forgotten the location of the gas filler door! I think back in the day, Chevy was noted for hiding the gas doors and then making them blend into the body in not so common places. Now, since I think your memory is as close to total recall as one can get, would you remind me where the door is on the '59 Impala? Believe it or not, I had a gorgeous red '59 348 w/3-deuces and three on the tree until I swapped it out for a 4 on-the-floor w/a Hurst Shifter. In my own defense, in NJ we don't fill our own gas tanks, so locating that door was not something I had to do. I "think" it was possibly behind the rear license plate? As I'm sitting here watching the snow fall, AARGH, I'll hopefully be hearing from you. Thanks in advance and hope you're fairing okay on the Island. Peter.

You made my weekend. 👍 Like you, my four German Shepherds are literally more water dogs than the Goldens I used have for years and they too love the snow! Also like you, I've lived in NJ all my life except for my college years in NC, but as of late I've been considering becoming snowbird. I've got a great location in Miami picked out to spend at least four months of the year. Plus, it would be a great excuse to buy another Vette, or something like this '58 to have at the ready when in Miami. There's just one eetsy, bitsey, teeny, weeny problem. The woman I've lived with for over 50 years, boy I wish I could remmber her name,😉, has said, "You don't need anymore stink'n Corvettes!" But I always have a "Plan B." I then said, "Okay, I've got my eyes on Harely. Miami's weather is perfect for riding." Ahhhh, then I get the reply, "YOU DEFINITELY DON'T NEED ANYMORE STINK'N HARLEY'S EITHER!" Oh the humanity!🙋♂️ Wait 'til she finds out I'm putting deposits down on both! You'll be able to feel the earth tremors all the way out on the Island.🤣 Stay well.
Fan shroud is a cut-down ---- a fake!! What else is faked on this car? Unfortunately, in this area, we are at the mercy of dishonest people. Also, aluminum side trim was never red - only aluminum-color. I wouldn't call this car "very nicely done".
