- Controversy continues over the East Belfast bonfire which has been deemed a threat to nearby homes.
A caller to this morning's Nolan Show (hosted by Chris Buckler) offered a novel solution.

Move the houses up the road a bit, to accommodate the bonfires. What a backwards place. Bonfires before houses. They are the peepil
i know right, none off them have a brain between them, who builds houses so close to boney sites anyway, bloody idiots
its like the cliffs of dover. Theyre in danger or eroding because they were built too close to the sea.
😅😅😅 @@youchubeB
Deserves more 👍👍👍👍👍👍
When you fly into Belfast the pilot tells you,
"Please turn your watches back by 300 years!"
He most certainly does not or he'd be sacked for racism
Andtake a deep breath of burning pallets,
That’s called culture by some
I'm all for democracy, but it also hurts me to know that this caller has equal voting rights as me :P
He’s the product of a Unionist education
Fuck me, hearing this shit makes me embarrassed.
He obviously decided to never surrender... to avoiding an education
LOL
Lololol
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the mindset of a loyalist
Republicans make them too
Loyalists just get better and better - thick as shit is a compliment to these people.
Ok, David…We hear you, loud and clear.
No further explanation needed.
More brains in a turnip.
He's a genius, why have we been so blind!! Just MOVE the actual brick houses away from the bonfires.
The area was designated park for residents there always supporting their culture builds but between ira sinn fein. Sdlp.. Alliance party's they gradually sold bit x bit that land to decrease the space.. Then like good terrorist strategy say ah but your bonfires not safe next to houses on the prior designated site
The fumes from the bonfire have affected him,
Another reason not to have bonfires
Can someone please get the full name and identity of this idiot. He should be famous!
Remembering Jason, Mark and Richard Quinn who were murdered by Loyalists in Ballymoney.
Rest In Peace 🙏
Remembering the 11 innocent protestant workmen murdered in the kingsmill massacre, enough of your hate people died both sides
@@redsfal1603 I’m remembering my relatives on their anniversary and always say a prayer for everyone on both sides who was murdered and for their families,
No hate here just love and forgiveness.
@@JT-xt8bh i appreciate that sorry for your loses no hate here either just sounded like you were making out that the loyalist were the only ones murdering no place in this country for hate anymore we can all get along 👌
Are the bonfires in Protestant neighborhoods? Good gosh. The community doesn’t want their houses burned up or damaged just from the heat of the fires. Let him move next to it. All the homes get boarded up. It’s not a hurricane.
The irony being, despite their denial of actually being Irish, some loyalists re-enforce the tired stereotype of the thick paddy better than any nationalist could.
dayglofreak81 . The thick thing was propaganda to dehumanise this country and people . Anyway people in NI have a different mentality and upbringing to those south of the border .
Racist to say about either
@@Thomas-te4cf yeah could not agree more. They would have a different mentality given that ye were brought in to do away with the native Irish. Frauds
Epic trolling by the caller😂😂😂😂😂
Got to be a 'wind up!'
If not, David from Belfast should have his medication at least doubled!
Ive never been to northern ireland, and i never will. Fuck that.
Both Republican/Loyalist build these silly bonfires ... Kinda getting stale in my opinion... 🕊Belfast
Oh dear Lord! Words elude me. Enough said...
Neanderthal
This is feckin great.
Two bob short of a quid!
this is the greatest troll in northern ireland hands down
Don’t put wood over the houses that will make the house more likely to catch fire
They say house like heist
They go through a lot of pallets in the north of Ireland.
Surely it’s bad for the environment. Does it violate the Paris Accord or something?
@@kristinesharp6286 absolutely ,that is never discussed ,but never put the planet let alone houses in front of idiotic rituals .
Aye the pallets a probably worth 10 quid each, no such thing as sense in this conversation, their culture, needs a good revamp, if this is what you look forward too! 😂😂😂
Like people moving near pig farms and then complaining to get them shut down
Its not one day. In larne they have been building it since May. And of course then they try to make out that they are the oppressed ones. Cant see oppressed people getting away with that.
These people are in a timewarp
david1966dc Stupid people caught in a time-warp, insane!!!
david1966dc and you are a paddy lol
david1966dc As you are fuckwit lol
david1966dc again leave your poor father out of this
david1966dc likewise son...don't dish it if you cannot take it.
Say no more😂😂😂😂
Dunce.....
Yeah you have rights "special ones" or is it "special needs" which is an insult to those with real "special needs". Then again maybe we should make gaelic the first language (in schools and in every day life)because they've been speaking gaelic ever before English came to NI. Wada think to that being a runner
goddamn why don't they just move the bonfire I bet he would sing a different tune if it was his house a 3 story bonfire was burning outside of
😅😅 that's a loyalist for you
🧠☠️
Has to be a piss take
😅😅😅😅😅don't build houses beside bonfires 😅😅3rd world education 😅😅
Who let this guy have access to a phone he's career really slipped up hear
Not a rocket scientist!
lol tells people it’s only one day a year and to calm down, then tells people they shouldn’t live there bc one day a year they burn their wood there
Up the ra
I blame the Skools should have gotten a Kafflik edukaysinn. My God Jesus wept this can't be serious.
And they say the paddies are daft.
John Ross . Possibly but the caller was not Irish
thomas derek no he was just northern Irish you muppet, pretty much the same thing if he went over to England he would get called a paddy just like the rest of us , GOD SAVE THE GERMAN

The uneducated 😅😅😅
Hyses. Ugh
Almost that time of year again. Can't wait to see this year's bonfires!
silly proddies
Have you heard from your brain lately David?
What else will they do. pallets are scarce. hahaha. no wonder there scarce as they burn them all. and the fumes of they tyres is the reason they are so thick.
Hilarious!
666th sub should I be worried
Listen to the man, let them have there bonfire
'Their' get back to school 😂
@@steadyeddie7 would be a bit noncey at 26
Used to be designated area for that culture the ira sinn fein councils delivery squeeze the culture to vast space to less space.. Wham bam. Its reasonable to not want fires close but look at the nacarcisstic antagonists republican n Council who engineered it to decrease any space eventually
😅😅😅culture...God help the next generation of protestant kids😅😅😅

i agree that fires that big shouldn't be near houses but where the houses built recently? if the sight was a well known festive sight for bonfires before the house's where built than it was stupid to put a house there.
BadW01f 2 yet another Protestant showing how stupid they are, was that your da speaking? So it was, the word your looking for is "site" not "sight" it's no wonder you people can't see the wood for the trees
LOL those houses in the video are well over 100 years old and this eejit sounds like a culchie
*were
To be honest, bonfires _are_ more important to history than houses with some inconsequential people living out their largely pointless existence. It is a living spontaneous tradition that engages the community in something beyond the control of the state. Trying to sanitise everything BECAUSE SAFETY! is the route to anodyne suburbia, sans history, character, and meaning. I'd say just cover the houses with some inflammable material for the duration of the event.
Humanophage 😂😂
Did they have wooden pallets back in the 1600s as well? The tradition has changed over the years and it seems reasonable for there to be some compromise about the size of the bonfires.
"Bonfires are important to history"......... yea they were great for burning witches and keeping yer arse warm!
Orangemen. Scotsmen who dress as Englishmen to celebrate a Dutch man defeating a scotsman in a battle on Irish soil, while following a Germanic religon, idolising a Germanic royal family, living in Ireland while claiming to be British. Thig ar latha, Tiocfaidh ar la 🍀🏴🇮🇪🍀
Wow..do they ever trip up & fall face first into their fires? Stupid Gobshite's is too lame....the mind boggles at their behavior & actions .. I will be praying for rain haha
