10 months Carnivore, mostly Lion. Down 124 lbs. 6’1”. Was 365, now 241 and falling by the day. Years of depression gone. 20 yrs of a bad back also gone. Body feels so good that is shot 74 last weekend. Better sleep. Calm demeanor. Leveled out energy. Beef, salt, water. Thx to Dr Berry for all the knowledge and inspiration. If you’re just getting started, keep going. You’ll hit a point where the fog lifts and feel great.

Thank you for the spreading the good news. I am 83 and began a new way of living 6 months ago, thanks to your video with Ms. Hogan. Down 42 pounds, 6.5 to 5.8 on diabetic scale, blood pressure now normal even after stopping meds, joint pain is gone, sleeping better and past depression after loss of my wife. In general feeling so much better that it is hard to believe. Never to late to begin eating the living better.

When my son was 6 years old he was still wetting the bed. I went to the library to try & find out if there was anything I could do to help him (it was 1987). Book said to strengthen his muscle that controls urine flow. So During the day I’d give him extra water and then have him stop his urine midstream & have him hold the stop as long as he could. Two weeks later he was no longer wetting the bed.

I'm ashamed to say this, but I wet my bed until I was 14sh. I honestly don't know what was wrong with me. And my parents never took me to a doctor. I was always so ashamed because I couldn't help it. It didn't matter what I did I would always wet my bed at least twice per week. I'm 32 now and thankfully it went away by itself.

You know DrBerry, you are the first person to acknowledge the link between raised insulin respinse and thinking about sugar and carb foods. I discovered this personally as a baker i have haad to give it all up because i need to remove all sugar and carbs and even thinking about cakes to bake for others if im ever goung to regain my metabolic health and resevre type 2 diabetes. My newist conundrum is what will my future business focus be asits clear i will not be able to do anything with carbs, sugar foods. Its also hard for family and friends as i need to wean them from my baking. I still bake for a special occassion for them and just thinking about it i find blood sugars increase a point. As a strict carnivore my blood suagrs remain within range all the time but waist needs to reduce if insulin is to normalize. A lot of commin sense and good medical advise ypu share with us and we are all very appreciative. Godbless for reaching your potential as a healing doctor.

Yeah my liver (prob fatty liver) just won’t use up its stores and so provides the bloodstream with lots of glucose no matter what I don’t eat.
I also had lots of triglycerides prob and those all need to be broken too. There’s 3 glucose molecules on a fatty acid back.
So to my body, I’m still eating Snickers and drinking frappés 🤦‍♀️
If I could EVER get cleared out - I bet I could lose a lb. I’ve lost zero; in 3mos 🙄

Ok very weary of these extreme diets now and I was a huge proponent. No cucumbers won’t kill you, but processed carbs will, a zucchini is good for you but coffe is certainly not (mold, adrenal fatigue, increase heart rate artificially and also leeches vitamins and minerals.

thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have always been in a normal weight. Of course before I will count calories and workout at least 5 times a week. I would be very anxious and depressed. Now at 52 and eating the PHD I am feeling great,, motivated and able to maintain myself slim with 20 to 30 minutes of strengthening exercises maybe 3 times a week and eating way way more the most delicious food. I am keeping myself healthy the SMART way not the HARD one. Happy to find this community. Not a lot of people can understand this way of eating. My three sons they support me in this way of living, but it is hard at work. THANKS again.

*HERE'S SOMETHING TO CHEW ON:* For 1000's of years, or more, Native Americans lived in teepees and followed the herds of buffalo across the country as the herds migrated. They hunted the buffalo and ate all they could hold after the kill. They made jerky to preserve what they could but at times had to go several days without eating in-between kills. They were all healthy and lean until farming and later when the white man came along. Up until then they feasted and suffered famine on a regular basis and lived primarily on buffalo meat alone.

I just spend 160€ on meat, fish and eggs, this is enough for about 4 weeks for me alone. Thats all the money I spend on food pretty much every month. 46€ for electrolytes for two months. Thats it. No supplements, no snacks, no sodas. Love the simplicity…not just saving me money but also saving me head space. My weekly mealplan is the same every week. Easy, no extra thinking-energy wasted. The meat is in ziplock bags in ready to grab portions. I don’t weigh my food, after 7 months carnivore I just know how much I eat per meal. Lost 40 lbs (18,5 kilos) on carnivore. ❤thank you dr berry!

Best to be able to wake up. The problem results from (1) do not drink liquids after 7 p.m. (2) unable to wake up . Person sometimes dreams they are waking up. Instead wets the bed. Train yourself to wake up. Remember you may be dreaming that you have wakened and go to bathroom. This is all in your hands. Once you realize you are dreaming your mind will learn to wake. Trust me, this really works. Have confidence and do not let yourself down.

POTS is very sensitive to salt. In the beginning of carnivore or keto, if the person doesn't increase salt they add to food, especially if they go for SAD diet where there was lots added salt, the drop in salt can cause problems with hydration and mineral balance. Discovered that the hard way with orthostatic hypotension!

This is break through for me that meat is digested before getting to the large intestine. I’m only at ketovore so far, and prob eating too much fruit still, but doing much better than when I was just gluten free with all the grains etc. I have a long, twisted colon and have to take mag citrate 1200 every day so stool is liquid enough to pass, but there is much less suffering now that I’ve cleaned up my diet. Now I’m motivated to go full carnivore. I love beef and lamb but I still eat poultry and fish. I am going to see if I can tolerate Real brand full fat cottage cheese occasionally now. I love it- maybe too much. We shall see.

Q: Had a calcium score of 2640 at age 69. Cardiac catheterization revealed 100%-80%-80% blockage. Four stents installed this week. Asked cardiologist about recommended diet (I am a type 2 diabetic for about 25 years.) He asked what diet I was on and when I re4sponded very low carb almost carnivore he got this appalled look and tone. What too many health professionals refuse to understand is that no diet will work if you can't stay on it. I'm pretty much down to eggs, meat, some fish, little fruit, little vegetables (which I hate,) no sugar. Have lost 85 lbs. over last 20 years (low calorie, heavy on exercise walking.) I guess the question is, it took me 69 years to require four stents; do I really have to be that paranoid about my diet going forward, or can I fget by on my no sugar, semi-carnivore plan (approved by my primary care physician.)
