I’m starting to realize that Lea Seydoux was apparently the only actress who seems to have worked MORE during COVID-19; like when a racer sees all the other cars slow down before a turn, and then they gun it.
This feels like a fun movie, that ripens like wine, giving an insight into media insanity, stardom and 'journalism'.

Not a particularly high bar to clear.
French films are art. Hollywood Films are products to sell to the masses.
Frenchness isn't a guarantee of quality, but they put time and care and effort into original storytelling and respect the craft. They pretty much make films.
They haven't started greenlighting and mass producing content based on Q Scores. These are artificially determined based on algorithms, which the big US studios are all doing now. I don't know what that these things are, but they are more like film-like artificial content as opposed to films. Sure we have some OG holdouts but in this environment I don't know how they can last.
I don't know about this movie but I recently saw Deerskin and I hadn't had that much fun in ages 😂.
I'm not losing faith in French film just yet, as long as grown-up adults there who are still getting behind the camera which seems to be the case still, thank god 💙🤍♥️

First time I saw her face was in "Inglorious Basterds" I remember thinking how mesmerizing and naturally beautiful she is. You can tell Tarantino knew it too because he specifically gave her the close-up.

The weird thing is in the real word, news cameramen/women who worked at the sharp end all know reporters like this...the ones who never let the facts get in the way of a story. Indeed, one of the most dangerous places for a cameraman to be in a war zone is standing between a reporter and an award the reporter is gagging to win.
It reminds me of the old 90’s British TV show about news called Drop The Dead Donkey

Je n'ai pas aimé la bande-annonce mais je l'ai quand même regardée. J'ai trouvé que c'était merveilleux même si ce film est destiné à quelques-uns. Le meilleur, c'est la façon dont le réalisateur et l'actrice ont su exprimer la souffrance d'une femme qui souffre des désordres d'une société stupide et toxique. Si vous avez le courage, vous pouvez le voir et vous apprécierez. Si vous préférez ne pas réfléchir, regardez quelque chose de plus américain.Ce n'est pas une comédie.
