I will never use Pirelli Angle GT s ever again. My friend on his FJR and me on my FJR we’re crossing the Nullarbor WA east to west and both sets of Pirelli on the front of each FJR delaminated internally. Tiny pin pricks appeared everywhere. I know that the straight roads on the Nullarbor are hard on tires but for two sets to fail like this is unforgivable. We both run tire pressure monitors so we knew what our pressures were. Now running Mich!
I run the Angles after two sets of road 6 sets. The angles are easily as good in the wet as the road 6 The angles have a different profile and cause the bike to lay into corners a lot easier. Both good tyres. Angles turn in so well
I’ve got a 06 blue FJR it’s just come out of shop had a electrical issue but I absolutely love this bike comfortable plenty of power great touring bike just took a little bit to get used of weight
IV got the 06 FJR Yamaha with 166 KMs mine is having an electrical issue as well whats actually happening with your FJR mine is to do with the high beam light staying on as well as the blinkers my screen won't go up and down my horn works no headlights but when I turn the key to on and press the button to raise the screen it will work and then press the starter button the motor starts up and everything works fine if I turn the key and don't touch the screen it's the complete opposite like IV just mentioned IV had a new ignition switch put in the bike all was fine for about 6 or 8 weeks now this problem it's going back to the shop where it was fixed on September 2 hopefully they can fix the issue safe riding and much love my friend stay safe and upright
@user-jc8cc4ch6w mine just had a surge in power every now and then at higher revs turns out it was coils but also a bad earth connection from one of the clips on wiring harness. All good now
I own the same bike an 06 FJR Yamaha can the lock on the Yamaha original Top Box be fixed the L shaped part fell off the inside of the Box the other morning when I went to close it or would it be better off replacing the whole lock 🔒 Mine's done 164 thousand kilometres and still going strong
These bikes are bullet proof.Have a 2005 model.Absolutely love it.👍
I want to buy one i a year maybe i own now a gsxf katana 98 750cc but i want a big tourer thats not a bmw the fjr seems perfect

I switched from Pirelli Angel GT’s to Michelin Pilot 5 GT. Glad I did

Hi would replace the lot the Yamaha top box is not good enough I would use a givi or r jay I have heard they are the best
