Heres what I think I posted this down bellow, I hope you see it and tell me what you think. When it comes to Logan getting Impregnanted, the alien being able to get through his chest is irreverent, it could just chew downward and out his stomach. I also think he is infectable his regeneration is good but he isnt instantly healing from damage like say how a King Alien does, or the guy he fought in the 3rd X Men movie, or Durge from Star Wars. I do believe from all the lore presented that the Black Goo is the same as Royal Jelly, and it is the same as the mutagenic fluids that Face Huggers and all adult aliens carry. We have seen how violently and rapidly Black Goo damages dna and the like, its much faster than Wolverines Regenerative abilities. Secondly theirs lots of aliens that ether evolve to use multiple different kinds of acids and other biological weapons in ranged attacks, like the Ranger Alien, Drones, Acid Aliens, the Natural King Aliens as seen by Sideshow collectables and the AvP table top minuter game, not the artificial Purple and White ones seen in comics, and then we see Aliens from non-human species with Acid Projectile attacks, Dog / Ox Aliens, Gorilla Aliens. If we are talking about intelligence, power, and volume of acid, I think for sure a Natural King Alien, as sceen from Sideshow collectibles and the AvP miniature game, does spit enough acid at long ranges enough that it would kill Wolverine for good, its described making rivers of acid. I think all Aliens have the potential to be smart enough to give Wolverine a through acid bath tbh. The second type I would think are likely to perma kill Wolverine would be the Rangers from Aliens Colonial Marines. They have two alt type mutations of projectiles, one being lots of acid while having low pressure, and another that is a mutagenic acid that will make acidic gas bombs. The acidic gas is not as potent as the others, BUT it fills the area with lots of it and it wont just go away, and it will cover all of Wolverine. Also theirs some aliens, like a Ranger type from the comics depicted spewing mutagenic fluids, that would also be super dangerous too wolverine. Lastly, the Aliens also have as good as a regeneration capability, and depending on the type, better than Wolverines. Riddley Scott confirmed in an interview that the aliens can regenerate from serious damage, the one in Covenant that was crushed and dropped, survived the ordeal and eventually regenerated from the damage. This opens up some serous questions, howmany of the aliens in the movie "ALIENS" actually did eventually regenerate from their damage and come back to fight the Marines? I would say, based on alien lore form their own perspective, only extreme head damage and decapitation will fully kill an alien.
Boom, there's your answer, no chest burster could survive with that argument. But even if by chance a Xenomorph could theoretically survive, good old James would just slice open his torso and remove it by hand.
You forgot that his healing factor was only able to do so because the brood egg could not make the fundamental physical changes to his body because it could not make the adamantium bend to the new shape. Xenomorphs dont change you into a zeno like the brood do, so I'd give it 50/50 maybe up to 70/30 on wolves side as far as an egg goes. Wolverine would win the actual fight easy
The baby xenomorth would take on wolverines healing factor but remain imprisoned within his ademantium rib cage. ( and most likely live longer than Logan..😬) The xenomorths growth could become stunted, leading to a Quato like symbiotic relationship.. Get to close to the Furriest Fury? And Bam! The xenomorths mini mandible shoots through the gaps in his rib cage.... Wolverine is the easy win. There is no way that xenomorph blood could destroy Wolverine cells than he can produce. He can be submerged in an acidic blood bath and still be fine.

Hell no. All the X-men and a power crippled Carol Danvers got infected in that story. Carol got a power up and that's where her binary powers comes from because the Brood is such shit, they weren't ready to infect a non human (since Carol's part Kree). The rest of the X-men just stood in the sun and got cured. If a dog like the one in Alien 3 and a predator got infected by the Brood, both would get superpowers going off what happened with Carol. What a fking laughable creature the Brood is.

A cover for a comic I can't stop picturing is wolverine standing over a pile of dead xenomorphs as endless more waves approach. He's battle scared with parts of his body burned all the way down to his adamantium skeleton. I'd give alot to see a live action sequence of this

Hmm... it's an interesting concept... if the facehugger is able to take on certain properties of its host, what if it could form with its own adamantium shell? Thereby being ably to burst through the chest of wolvie (which he would undoubtedly survive), creating a hybrid xenomorph which may or may not have extendable claws (cool if it did!) and have the same regenerative abilities of its host Father... If the embryo was able to fully grow & be born, it would almost certainly have Logans claws & healing factor. As for the Adamantium? It wouldn't be able to take that into it's genetic makeup because it's not a natural part of Logan. The same reason why his body didn't regenerate it when Magneto was shown to remove it from his skeleton and he realised his claws were part of his mutation & not a result of the Weapon-X program
For the Xenomorph to win, it would need to either be a one on one where logans enhanced hearing and sense of smell were neutralised (such as inside a hive) with a successful ambush leading to decapitation and the head rolling a considerable distance away. Or by using the swarm technique you see in aliens and avp to overwhelm him and then to basically RIP him apart limb from limb. As for implantation I doubt it would work, I'm sure I read that the face hugger instinctively knows when a suitable host is near, so it may well ignore Logan and attack a companion instead, if not then I doubt the implant would work, after the face hugger detached Logan would ever vomit up the embryo or his on body would attack it, even if by some fluke it was able to grow, it wouldn't be able to punch out the chest so it would either have to find a new exit point or it would die and be absorbed. I think it would be the same with Deadpool too
Theoretically, Wolverine's healing factor could reject an Alien embryo, but what's the fun in that? Just as likely, the fact the the host's DNA is incorporated into a xenomorph means that it could trick his immune system into "thinking" that it belongs there. Once developed, the chestburster can simply burrow down into Logan's guts and become a bellyburster, bypassing those pesky adamantium-laced ribs. Obviously, this would not kill Wolverine; his healing factor can handle the damage. He'd be in for a much worse fate. Logan will become a reusable host for the hive, being implanted with a new embryo immediately after his ravaged body recovers from each "birth". This could be a great What If? story, which is what I believe Alien and Predator interactions with the mainstream Marvel characters should be limited to.

I don’t think a face hugger would even be able to implant an embryo in wolverine. He would just rip it or cut it off when it attacked him, get burnt by the acid blood and think “what the hell was that?”. If he did manage to get impregnated by the face hugger his healing factor would attack and destroy the embryo. If the embryo somehow managed to survive the chest burster wouldn’t be able to get out since it usually breaks through the rib cage and a chest burster isn’t getting through wolverines adamantium ribs lol.
Those that think the hatchling, if it some how survived Logan's body, would have adamantium aren't considering that adamantium was given to him due to his ungodly regeneration. His DNA doesn't contain the information for an adamantium skeleton and thus no adamantium exoskeleton could be obtained. Wolverine's claws, prior to the adamantium infusion in the Weapon X Program, were nothing but bone. My vote goes to Logan's body rejecting this parasite, similar to other parasites, as with Logan's regeneration comes an ultra-heightened immuno-response. I think a huge question that would add to this, or detract from it, would be "Can X-23 carry an embryo without the immune system reacting to it?". That would be a true measure of how strong the immune response is within the DNA of a, correct me if I am wrong, child or clone of Wolverine. An embryo would be the only thing similar since they are able to hide from the immune system of their parent. However, this is also in question because an autoimmune disorder will cause the immune system to attack an embryo. I don't think this was questioned, "Does Logan's immune system behave as if he had an autoimmune disorder?". The former X-23 question has had evidence, to the affirmative, that X-23 should be able to carry child as Wanda Wilson, aka Lady Deadpool, has carried a child. However, Lady Deadpool, Deadpool alternative universe character; doesn't mean that the regeneration systems are exactly the same. That is why Wade Wilson's regeneration is a latent mutation, that worked in conjunction, with his cancer and never really did "cure" him of cancer. So after this stream of conscience thought, trying to answer, I myself have still come up with even more questions... sigh.

Even if a chest buster were to successfully grow and burst out of wolverine, I'd image through his stomach since it wouldn't be able to break through his ribs since they're incased in adamantium, wolverine's healing factor would kick in and he would survive. Also, if wolverine were to sense something inside of him trying to get out, he would probably stab himself with his adamantium crawls and potentially kill the xenomorph before it successfully came out of him. Needless to say, if that were the case, wolverine would painfully cut himself open with one of his claws and remove it. But aside from that I don't see the aliens defeating wolverine.
The chestburster scenario is an interesting one in my opinion. I think it comes down to if a Facehugger can hold on to Logan long enough to get implanted. Once implanted then the embryo takes on the DNA of it's host. So maybe his body doesn't recognize it as a threat but more importantly you end up with a chestburster with a healing factor that could fight back. Chestbursters commonly come out of the chest, but have been shown taking alternate pathways if the chest sight is compromised. So it could just fight its way down below the ribs and go out that way.
Wolverine has a ad skeleton and is almost invincible, in X3 he can regenerate so fast despite being ripped to shreds by Jean. If he were facehugged, the xenomorph wouldn't be able to break through his chest and would probably be pooped out? :D
Even if a chest burster could fully mature inside of Logan's body, it wouldn't be able to break out of his chest due to his ribs being reinforced by adamantium. That being said, if it tore into his lower abdominal area and got out that way, sure, but Logan would still regenerate and gut the thing like a fish.
it would be a tough one because they could say the face hugger could nagate his healing factor so a cheast burster can grow and escape because it still wouldnt kill wolverien cos its a slow death from a chest burster and wolverine could heal when it leaves him from his mouth or stomic.

Unfortunately Wolverine is one of Marvel's most popular superhero so of course he will win. The horrible strange monster from space will be reduced to cannon fodder so that Marvel's heroes can look more badass. Boring, but that's how it goes. But I think a queen could outsmart him. They are often super intelligent in many stories. You can temporarily wound Wolverine enough to capture him. Once the queen have him all webbed up in her lair it would be hard for him to escape. He can't cut himself lose if his arms are stuck. Then poor Logan would be the father of a legion of regenerating Xenomorphs because he would heal up after each chestbursting. Well I guess they would have to take a different way out of Logan's body since his chestbone is made of adamantium.

I swear I remember as a kid someone said that his neck was his weakspot because when he and Spiderman fought in the 80's comics storyline and they were fighting in a cemetery and Spiderman thinking to himself he could take Wolverine out by breaking his neck because that is his most vulnerable area
I definitely agree with you on most of this Mr. H but there's a few other interesting factors I think we should consider. #1 I'm surprised that after the back burster scene in Covenant you didn't consider the chest burster coming out of any other point. The chest burster could come out of any part of Wolverines body that doesn't have bone. His stomach for instance like in AVPR, or the mouth like the throat burster also in Covenant, or quite frankly even his ass if the chest burster got really desperate. Then Wolverine has to deal with a xeno with his own powers which could include claws and a healing factor. #2 I wonder how Wolverine would hold up in a fight against a xenomorph Queen.
Face hugger places embryo in Logan. Chest burster makes it’s way down and out through the stomach. Logan recovers as normal. But now we have a xenomorph that has Logan’s abilities and it can heal itself when injured. Or maybe something completely different.
Imagine the Xenomorph was to find a way to capture Wolverine, they can basically make spawns and spawns of xenos due to his healing factor....bunch of overpowered xenos
If he can regenerate from a single cell, then if he got decapitated then both his body and his head would regenerate the missing half and then there would be 2 Wolverines.
During a war comic he was decapitated and body was thrown in a furnace if I recall. Before he had the weapon X procedure. In a couple minutes he came back fully healed and wanting some new clothes.
The only Wolverine I am aware of to not only survive decapitation, but also retain cognitive awareness for his decapitated head to hold a conversation(comic book physics), is the version who inhabited earth-1610 of the Ultimate Marvel comics continuity. The adamantium of that universe is weaker than the that of the prime marvel universe. But the wolverine of that universe seemed to possess a stronger healing factor.
Chestbuster vs healing factor has already been shown, circular 1987/88 Uncanny X-Men issue 230ish, The Brood (Marvels version of the Aliens really), infected Wolverine, he began to transform (Into a Brood), but his Healing Factor "Kicked in" and cured him, cover of specific issue is a purple tone, has Wolverine on his knee's with a face mutated with large fangs.
The singular cell thing gets overblown. When he regenerated from a single drop of blood it was with the help of some literal miracle rock (can't remember what exactly). Though, I don't believe that changes the result regardless. Wolverine with Adamantium and his Healing Factor takes this. Though it is worth noting his healing factor can be overloaded through consistent use.
I think it might be possible for a Xeno to gain Logan's healing abilities from a facehugger to a chestburster inside him. How it would escape would be through Logan's throat, forcing him to puke it out. If Logan doesn't kill it then, he's gonna have a hell of a time later on. Maybe the Wolverine Xeno could also have retracting claws from its forearms.
The Brood (basically more insect like Aliens in Marvel Comics) laid an egg in Wolvie. His body treated it like a disease and annihilated it. I agree that Logan could take a bunch of aliens, it just wouldn't be a fun day for him. Since Wolvie is basically designed to be able to survive Xenomorphs I think more interesting questions are "What other marvel comics characters could have a good Alien story?" Daredevil, the man without fear., radar sense sees the aliens in the dark? Aliens in Hell's Kitchen? Iron Man, is his basic armor acid proof? Xenomorph-buster? Fantastic Four finds a derelict infested spce vessel? Could Sue's invisibility hide them from Xenos? and so on?
For Wolverine to be infected by the Xenomorph the Face Hugger would need genes to crack the X-Factor. It could be possible for such a Face Hugger to be engineered by an alien like the Phalanx or maybe Mr Sinister. Xenomorph genetic memory would allow for a variant that might be immune to Wolverines senses like how Venom is invisible to Spiderman.
05:09. Wasn't there something called a Chimaera in the Alien universe, that had the ability to remain functional and reattach a severed head back unto its body? I can vaguely remember from an Alien comic I had that there was a story of such a character that something like that happened to? :/
On a related note, unless the Alien's tail was made from a metal stronger than Adamantium, I don't see how an Alien can decapitate Logan. To be able to do so, you would need a blade that is either Adamantium itself (or stronger), or some kind of ultra-advanced high tech energy blade or some kind of mono-molecule blade that can sever something on the molecular level, or something else that can cut through anything using some kind of techno-explanation of why it is able to cut through the strongest elements, alloys or substances. I can only see some kind of energy beam that can even destroy Adamantium by using a single or continual beam by vaporizing it instantly or through sustained method if any kind of blade weapon is off the table. So in short, no conventional means could probably achieve it. :/
Since cancerous growths are made up from the cells of your own body, I think a facehugger can be written in a way to grow in Wolverine and have it travel through the diaphragm into the abdominal cavity and burst out there like the alien did in Prometheous. And then, you get a regenerating Xeno.orphs with Wolverine claws and a dope beard!
Nah. A brood egg which has the same growing cycle was implemented in Wolverine and Ms. Marvel. In Wolverines case it was treated as a parasite cancerous cell and was destroyed. Wolverine destroyed tons of brood which are kinda like the xenos and also destroyed a much more advanced threat (and a biomechanical one like the xenomorph) called the phalanx. It's not a fair fight at all. Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon are better and more balanced contenders for the xenomorph.
@@FunkMastaMegaFlex It just take a slight imagination to make this possible. The xenomorphs combine their dna with their host and that mechanism can be used to say that the parasite combined its dna with Wolverine's so his immune system wont attack it.
Just a numbers advantage for the xenomorphs, a full sized nest would just present a physical challenge if he gets dog piled and coated in acid but it's just a matter of time until he recovers and clears it out. It would make for a fun, dark comic even if we know who is ultimately going to win.
No comic book creator would ever kill off their cash cow, which is why Wolverine can regenerate so fast, in the comics. That said, I run a virtual table top game using the 1980-1990 TSR FASERIP rules. The heroes are battling a xenomorph infestation in Hell’s Kitchen. Using the rules as written, Wolverine repeatedly gets his ass handed to him by the xenomorphs in every battle. Nuff Said.
I think a facehugger could potentially impregnate Wolverine, and the chest burster could even grow, and escape. My conclusion to this is simple physiology. Wolverine's skeleton is adamantium, BUT where the chest burster would exit is nothing but pure body cavity. His immune system could potentially kill the burster embryo, but if it were to survive, not only would it be able to escape, but it might actually absorb some of the adamantium into it's own cellular make-up thus giving it a similar skeletal design. Not to mention Logan would quickly heal from the damage caused by the burster. The Unfortunate side effect of this is if the aliens figured this out, and created something strong enough to contain Wolverine, a single queen could produce a nigh unstoppable army of drones, and warriors just from Wolverine's body.
People always think Wolverine must slash enemies with his claws, forget he fought in wars and was a covert operative for years. Elene Ripley fought aliens and lived, and she had no healing factor.
Wolverine's sense of smell alone would render any stealth the alien has as completely useless, and he could probably hunt one down before it even knew he was in the vicinity. Wolverine against a predator would be way more intriguing. The predator would become the hunted and have to adapt, something we've never really seen explored that much. Stick them in the Savage Land and let them fight.

Lets say a chest burster were to be able to grow to hatchling size in Wolverine. One if it is taking on his genetic traits it may grow faster with the incorparation of his healing ability. Two it could go downward and out through his abdomen instead of his chest. Now this would not kill him and he would heal. However once it had run away and grown he would then have to face off against an Alien that due to having his traits could be stronger than a normal Alien. It would also be able to rapidly heal itself and regrow missing limbs. It would not have the antiatium metal inside since that was added to Logan. It would however have some sort of extending claws coming out of it's hands. That is a trait Logan already had and was simply improved by the metal he got. Then we would have a battle between the two of them that would be never ending. The three possible ways you pointed out that Logan could be beat would only be two possible ways for the Alien since the acid blood would not be able to destroy every possible cell of the Alien. To destroy every cell of the Alien it would have to be in a molten furness like Ripley fell into at the end of Aliens three or the exhaust of a rocket engine or something of the like. That then would be an amazing battle. What if a chest burster got into Saber Tooth? Saber Tooth has no metal protecting his chest from being cracked open. He has basically the same traits as Logan without the metal. That grown Alien would likewise be a match forever.
If wolverine was impregnated by a facehugger and IF it developed into a chestburster... it would eventually find it's way out through the lower abdomen, assuming wolverine doesn't just cut the damn thing out of himself. If such a xenomorph DID manage to escape wolverine, the resulting creature would be worst case scenario. A xenomorph with bone (or whatever chitinous material they have as bone) claws on top of having talons, and a healing factor. That hellish xenomorph would have to be captured and sent into the sun... or a black hole.
Regarding the chest burster the answer is no. The brood layed an egg inside him and his healing factor slaughtered it so a face hugger would pretty much face the same fate
1) Brood infects people, not incubate a egg inside of it. 2) ALL the X-men AND a power crippled Carol Danvers got infected by the Brood in that story. Carol got a power up and that's where her binary powers came from because the Brood is such shit there weren't ready to infect someone who was non human (since Carol's part Kree). All the other X-men just stood in the sun and got cured. The Brood is such shit, it's laughable.
Problem here is if a xenomorph takes on the DNA of the host and a face hugger gets an egg inside wolverine by nature the embryo would absorb some of his DNA and potentially his regenerative properties. If this were the case the baby xenomorph may not be able to burst its way out but following the normal lifecycle it would mature to adulthood at the usual accelerated rate and would just grow inside wolverine until it rips its way out which both would live through. In such a scenario the more worrying prospect is we now have an acid blooded immortal...
If a chestburster formed in Wolverine it would never be able to leave for one simple reason. The adamantium is not even apart of Logans biological mutation, its completely artificial. So you would have a xenomorph with his healing factor but not the bone structure to break Logans ribcage
Adamantium was bonded to the bones of Wolverine, so it was an artificial addition to his body. If he was ever truly impregnated by an facehugger, the Alien created would have all his mutant abilities and none of the adamantium, since it has absolutely nothing to do with the mutant's biological abilities or genetic makeup, which is what the Alien usually absorbs. Cool concept, but there's no way it could be made to work "realistically", apart from having a mutant Alien, tie it down and insert Adamantium via external means (in pretty much the same way as Wolverine gets his) or just let if fall into a vat of Adamantium and get an outer coating of it, but an issue exists of whether the Alien's skin can survive something like that, even with a regenerative mutant gene and all (which granted, can be introduced as a designer gene by W-Y if they chose to build a custom Alien from the ground up). :/
Like the Brood. Logan's healing factor would purge the embryo before it had time to develop. He could be overwhelmed by sheer numbers.Warblade of the Wildcats handled the Xenomorphs easily so i don't see Wolverine having issues.
I think Logan would be forever a chest bursting host. Aliens have been shown to burst from other places (reference the alien6) not mention he’s not completely made from adamentium. Wolverine is still prone to being knocked out and so long as the xenomorph prohibit him from moving he’d be in a living hell until a third party could rescue him
Considering that a xenomorph embryo is actually a form of cancer, I wouldn't think Wolverine would be able to contract it. However it would be a really cool story for Wolverine to be impregnated and obviously survive, than have to face a Xenomorph with Regenerative capabilities!
For the sake of a good story I would say that because the chest buster takes on the DNA of its host so it would inherit his healing property. Then there would be an epic show down with wolverine (as a chest bursted eating its way out of wolverine via his stomach wouldn’t kill him) and a regenerating xenomorph.
Can't really think of a way where a Xenomorph could take out Logan. Like sure there's the whole acid thing, but it would require a full on acid bath and him not leaving it anytime soon in order for them to actually kill him. As for a Facehugger, if we include his actions from the live action movies, if he's aware of a potential threat, he'd probably just tear it out (in the Wolverine he did just that with the parasite that was in him that was weakening his healing factor after he found out about it). As for it trying to punch through, yeah it wouldn't be able to live up to the Chestburster name XD it would have to burrow down into his gut and come out that way. Beyond that, they'd have to do it like they did in the first Alien vs Predator film where we see what happens when the Xenomorphs overrun things, but that's assuming we're trying to take things to the extreme rather than a straight up fight between him and a Xenomorph (or even just a group of them).
Got to agree with @moeomoton520, I remember reading about the brood parasite not working in him, just couldn’t remember which issue it was. Having said that, one thing we do not calculate is the writers. They will make up their own rules and skip that little history since it doesn’t fit their narrative. Having said that, I think it would be interesting as Dark Horse did show some variants on the aliens with which they came from different “beings” and that made for some fascinating cases which seeing a short Canuck alien with a cigar looking at the queen alien and calling her bub would be awfully fun. Though you forgot one thing about the healing factor, it’s Logan’s skeletal system which has the bone blades, such as his “daughter” x-23 has or his son. So that alien if it survived would be pretty interesting. And let’s not forget the video game AVP where the alien named “Specimen 6” would become a queen at the end, and having a whole hive of aliens with wolverine dna running around would be interesting
Wolverine gets a face hugger kiss...mutant xenomorph with insane healing factor...he would literally birth an indestructible killing machine...hard to say but I’m leaning towards a stalemate. If Logan doesn’t get a face hugger kiss, he’d have to kill every last queen and destroy every last egg for me to say he’d be the winner. He’d own every ‘regular’ xenomorph with ease though...

Heres what I think I posted this down bellow, I hope you see it and tell me what you think.
When it comes to Logan getting Impregnanted, the alien being able to get through his chest is irreverent, it could just chew downward and out his stomach. I also think he is infectable his regeneration is good but he isnt instantly healing from damage like say how a King Alien does, or the guy he fought in the 3rd X Men movie, or Durge from Star Wars. I do believe from all the lore presented that the Black Goo is the same as Royal Jelly, and it is the same as the mutagenic fluids that Face Huggers and all adult aliens carry. We have seen how violently and rapidly Black Goo damages dna and the like, its much faster than Wolverines Regenerative abilities.
Secondly theirs lots of aliens that ether evolve to use multiple different kinds of acids and other biological weapons in ranged attacks, like the Ranger Alien, Drones, Acid Aliens, the Natural King Aliens as seen by Sideshow collectables and the AvP table top minuter game, not the artificial Purple and White ones seen in comics, and then we see Aliens from non-human species with Acid Projectile attacks, Dog / Ox Aliens, Gorilla Aliens.
If we are talking about intelligence, power, and volume of acid, I think for sure a Natural King Alien, as sceen from Sideshow collectibles and the AvP miniature game, does spit enough acid at long ranges enough that it would kill Wolverine for good, its described making rivers of acid. I think all Aliens have the potential to be smart enough to give Wolverine a through acid bath tbh. The second type I would think are likely to perma kill Wolverine would be the Rangers from Aliens Colonial Marines. They have two alt type mutations of projectiles, one being lots of acid while having low pressure, and another that is a mutagenic acid that will make acidic gas bombs. The acidic gas is not as potent as the others, BUT it fills the area with lots of it and it wont just go away, and it will cover all of Wolverine.
Also theirs some aliens, like a Ranger type from the comics depicted spewing mutagenic fluids, that would also be super dangerous too wolverine.
Lastly, the Aliens also have as good as a regeneration capability, and depending on the type, better than Wolverines. Riddley Scott confirmed in an interview that the aliens can regenerate from serious damage, the one in Covenant that was crushed and dropped, survived the ordeal and eventually regenerated from the damage. This opens up some serous questions, howmany of the aliens in the movie "ALIENS" actually did eventually regenerate from their damage and come back to fight the Marines? I would say, based on alien lore form their own perspective, only extreme head damage and decapitation will fully kill an alien.

You forgot that his healing factor was only able to do so because the brood egg could not make the fundamental physical changes to his body because it could not make the adamantium bend to the new shape. Xenomorphs dont change you into a zeno like the brood do, so I'd give it 50/50 maybe up to 70/30 on wolves side as far as an egg goes. Wolverine would win the actual fight easy

In the storyline, Wolverine's healing factor and adamantium claws make him a target for experimentation by the Xenomorphs, who are known for adapting to their hosts’ traits. Marvel’s Xenomorph hybrids usually develop physical and genetic adaptations from their hosts, so a Xenomorph-Wolverine hybrid could theoretically have Wolverine's regeneration and claws, mixed with the Xenomorph's deadly physiology and acid blood.
This is a complete missmatch; anything the Alien does, Wolverine can heal from in minutes if not seconds, and there's no way it's getting through his Adamantium skeleton, whereas Wolverine could cut the Alien to pieces in seconds.
Even if he's face hugged, he would simply heal from the Chestburster - in fact he'd probably just cut it out of himself before then, and that's if his immune system didn't already kill the embryo before it develops.

Hmm... it's an interesting concept... if the facehugger is able to take on certain properties of its host, what if it could form with its own adamantium shell? Thereby being ably to burst through the chest of wolvie (which he would undoubtedly survive), creating a hybrid xenomorph which may or may not have extendable claws (cool if it did!) and have the same regenerative abilities of its host Father... Hmm... there's an idea in there somewhere... Great video mate.
If the embryo was able to fully grow & be born, it would almost certainly have Logans claws & healing factor. As for the Adamantium? It wouldn't be able to take that into it's genetic makeup because it's not a natural part of Logan. The same reason why his body didn't regenerate it when Magneto was shown to remove it from his skeleton and he realised his claws were part of his mutation & not a result of the Weapon-X program

For the Xenomorph to win, it would need to either be a one on one where logans enhanced hearing and sense of smell were neutralised (such as inside a hive) with a successful ambush leading to decapitation and the head rolling a considerable distance away. Or by using the swarm technique you see in aliens and avp to overwhelm him and then to basically RIP him apart limb from limb.
As for implantation I doubt it would work, I'm sure I read that the face hugger instinctively knows when a suitable host is near, so it may well ignore Logan and attack a companion instead, if not then I doubt the implant would work, after the face hugger detached Logan would ever vomit up the embryo or his on body would attack it, even if by some fluke it was able to grow, it wouldn't be able to punch out the chest so it would either have to find a new exit point or it would die and be absorbed. I think it would be the same with Deadpool too

Theoretically, Wolverine's healing factor could reject an Alien embryo, but what's the fun in that? Just as likely, the fact the the host's DNA is incorporated into a xenomorph means that it could trick his immune system into "thinking" that it belongs there. Once developed, the chestburster can simply burrow down into Logan's guts and become a bellyburster, bypassing those pesky adamantium-laced ribs.
Obviously, this would not kill Wolverine; his healing factor can handle the damage. He'd be in for a much worse fate. Logan will become a reusable host for the hive, being implanted with a new embryo immediately after his ravaged body recovers from each "birth". This could be a great What If? story, which is what I believe Alien and Predator interactions with the mainstream Marvel characters should be limited to.

I don’t think a face hugger would even be able to implant an embryo in wolverine. He would just rip it or cut it off when it attacked him, get burnt by the acid blood and think “what the hell was that?”. If he did manage to get impregnated by the face hugger his healing factor would attack and destroy the embryo. If the embryo somehow managed to survive the chest burster wouldn’t be able to get out since it usually breaks through the rib cage and a chest burster isn’t getting through wolverines adamantium ribs lol.
Those that think the hatchling, if it some how survived Logan's body, would have adamantium aren't considering that adamantium was given to him due to his ungodly regeneration. His DNA doesn't contain the information for an adamantium skeleton and thus no adamantium exoskeleton could be obtained. Wolverine's claws, prior to the adamantium infusion in the Weapon X Program, were nothing but bone. My vote goes to Logan's body rejecting this parasite, similar to other parasites, as with Logan's regeneration comes an ultra-heightened immuno-response. I think a huge question that would add to this, or detract from it, would be "Can X-23 carry an embryo without the immune system reacting to it?". That would be a true measure of how strong the immune response is within the DNA of a, correct me if I am wrong, child or clone of Wolverine. An embryo would be the only thing similar since they are able to hide from the immune system of their parent. However, this is also in question because an autoimmune disorder will cause the immune system to attack an embryo. I don't think this was questioned, "Does Logan's immune system behave as if he had an autoimmune disorder?". The former X-23 question has had evidence, to the affirmative, that X-23 should be able to carry child as Wanda Wilson, aka Lady Deadpool, has carried a child. However, Lady Deadpool, Deadpool alternative universe character; doesn't mean that the regeneration systems are exactly the same. That is why Wade Wilson's regeneration is a latent mutation, that worked in conjunction, with his cancer and never really did "cure" him of cancer. So after this stream of conscience thought, trying to answer, I myself have still come up with even more questions... sigh.

Also, if wolverine were to sense something inside of him trying to get out, he would probably stab himself with his adamantium crawls and potentially kill the xenomorph before it successfully came out of him. Needless to say, if that were the case, wolverine would painfully cut himself open with one of his claws and remove it. But aside from that I don't see the aliens defeating wolverine.
I don’t think a parasite would stand much of a chance in Logan‘s body. And that is essentially what a face hugger is or should I say lays.
The chestburster scenario is an interesting one in my opinion. I think it comes down to if a Facehugger can hold on to Logan long enough to get implanted. Once implanted then the embryo takes on the DNA of it's host. So maybe his body doesn't recognize it as a threat but more importantly you end up with a chestburster with a healing factor that could fight back. Chestbursters commonly come out of the chest, but have been shown taking alternate pathways if the chest sight is compromised. So it could just fight its way down below the ribs and go out that way.
Wolverine has a ad skeleton and is almost invincible, in X3 he can regenerate so fast despite being ripped to shreds by Jean. If he were facehugged, the xenomorph wouldn't be able to break through his chest and would probably be pooped out? :D

Even if a chest burster could fully mature inside of Logan's body, it wouldn't be able to break out of his chest due to his ribs being reinforced by adamantium. That being said, if it tore into his lower abdominal area and got out that way, sure, but Logan would still regenerate and gut the thing like a fish.
it would be a tough one because they could say the face hugger could nagate his healing factor so a cheast burster can grow and escape because it still wouldnt kill wolverien cos its a slow death from a chest burster and wolverine could heal when it leaves him from his mouth or stomic.

Unfortunately Wolverine is one of Marvel's most popular superhero so of course he will win. The horrible strange monster from space will be reduced to cannon fodder so that Marvel's heroes can look more badass. Boring, but that's how it goes. But I think a queen could outsmart him. They are often super intelligent in many stories. You can temporarily wound Wolverine enough to capture him. Once the queen have him all webbed up in her lair it would be hard for him to escape. He can't cut himself lose if his arms are stuck. Then poor Logan would be the father of a legion of regenerating Xenomorphs because he would heal up after each chestbursting. Well I guess they would have to take a different way out of Logan's body since his chestbone is made of adamantium.

I definitely agree with you on most of this Mr. H but there's a few other interesting factors I think we should consider.
#1 I'm surprised that after the back burster scene in Covenant you didn't consider the chest burster coming out of any other point. The chest burster could come out of any part of Wolverines body that doesn't have bone. His stomach for instance like in AVPR, or the mouth like the throat burster also in Covenant, or quite frankly even his ass if the chest burster got really desperate. Then Wolverine has to deal with a xeno with his own powers which could include claws and a healing factor.
#2 I wonder how Wolverine would hold up in a fight against a xenomorph Queen.
Face hugger places embryo in Logan. Chest burster makes it’s way down and out through the stomach. Logan recovers as normal. But now we have a xenomorph that has Logan’s abilities and it can heal itself when injured. Or maybe something completely different.

If he can regenerate from a single cell, then if he got decapitated then both his body and his head would regenerate the missing half and then there would be 2 Wolverines.
During a war comic he was decapitated and body was thrown in a furnace if I recall. Before he had the weapon X procedure. In a couple minutes he came back fully healed and wanting some new clothes.

The only Wolverine I am aware of to not only survive decapitation, but also retain cognitive awareness for his decapitated head to hold a conversation(comic book physics), is the version who inhabited earth-1610 of the Ultimate Marvel comics continuity. The adamantium of that universe is weaker than the that of the prime marvel universe. But the wolverine of that universe seemed to possess a stronger healing factor.

Chestbuster vs healing factor has already been shown, circular 1987/88 Uncanny X-Men issue 230ish, The Brood (Marvels version of the Aliens really), infected Wolverine, he began to transform (Into a Brood), but his Healing Factor "Kicked in" and cured him, cover of specific issue is a purple tone, has Wolverine on his knee's with a face mutated with large fangs.
The singular cell thing gets overblown. When he regenerated from a single drop of blood it was with the help of some literal miracle rock (can't remember what exactly). Though, I don't believe that changes the result regardless. Wolverine with Adamantium and his Healing Factor takes this.
Though it is worth noting his healing factor can be overloaded through consistent use.

I think it might be possible for a Xeno to gain Logan's healing abilities from a facehugger to a chestburster inside him.
How it would escape would be through Logan's throat, forcing him to puke it out. If Logan doesn't kill it then, he's gonna have a hell of a time later on.
Maybe the Wolverine Xeno could also have retracting claws from its forearms.
when will the alien and predator comics from marvel will release
The Brood (basically more insect like Aliens in Marvel Comics) laid an egg in Wolvie. His body treated it like a disease and annihilated it. So I think an impregnation by a face hugger would have similar results. The only hope an Alien would have is numbers on wolvie. I would think just his usual slice and dice would dish out a ton of acid damage on him, but i just don’t see them beating Wolvie.
We would win, the fans, because we'd get to see a fight between two badass characters.
The face hugger would hatchling would adopt the metal dna, burst through Logan’s chest but Logan would heal and hunt down his alien
I agree that Logan could take a bunch of aliens, it just wouldn't be a fun day for him. Since Wolvie is basically designed to be able to survive Xenomorphs I think more interesting questions are "What other marvel comics characters could have a good Alien story?"
Daredevil, the man without fear., radar sense sees the aliens in the dark? Aliens in Hell's Kitchen?
Iron Man, is his basic armor acid proof? Xenomorph-buster?
Fantastic Four finds a derelict infested spce vessel? Could Sue's invisibility hide them from Xenos? and so on?
For Wolverine to be infected by the Xenomorph the Face Hugger would need genes to crack the X-Factor. It could be possible for such a Face Hugger to be engineered by an alien like the Phalanx or maybe Mr Sinister.
Xenomorph genetic memory would allow for a variant that might be immune to Wolverines senses like how Venom is invisible to Spiderman.
If a chestburster came from Wolverine, we would be in trouble.

On a related note, unless the Alien's tail was made from a metal stronger than Adamantium, I don't see how an Alien can decapitate Logan. To be able to do so, you would need a blade that is either Adamantium itself (or stronger), or some kind of ultra-advanced high tech energy blade or some kind of mono-molecule blade that can sever something on the molecular level, or something else that can cut through anything using some kind of techno-explanation of why it is able to cut through the strongest elements, alloys or substances. I can only see some kind of energy beam that can even destroy Adamantium by using a single or continual beam by vaporizing it instantly or through sustained method if any kind of blade weapon is off the table. So in short, no conventional means could probably achieve it. :/

Since cancerous growths are made up from the cells of your own body, I think a facehugger can be written in a way to grow in Wolverine and have it travel through the diaphragm into the abdominal cavity and burst out there like the alien did in Prometheous. And then, you get a regenerating Xeno.orphs with Wolverine claws and a dope beard!
Nah. A brood egg which has the same growing cycle was implemented in Wolverine and Ms. Marvel. In Wolverines case it was treated as a parasite cancerous cell and was destroyed. Wolverine destroyed tons of brood which are kinda like the xenos and also destroyed a much more advanced threat (and a biomechanical one like the xenomorph) called the phalanx. It's not a fair fight at all. Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon are better and more balanced contenders for the xenomorph.
@@FunkMastaMegaFlex It just take a slight imagination to make this possible. The xenomorphs combine their dna with their host and that mechanism can be used to say that the parasite combined its dna with Wolverine's so his immune system wont attack it.
If thats the case then Wolverine should have died from cancer with all those cigar and alcohol has consume.

Just a numbers advantage for the xenomorphs, a full sized nest would just present a physical challenge if he gets dog piled and coated in acid but it's just a matter of time until he recovers and clears it out. It would make for a fun, dark comic even if we know who is ultimately going to win.
No comic book creator would ever kill off their cash cow, which is why Wolverine can regenerate so fast, in the comics.
That said, I run a virtual table top game using the 1980-1990 TSR FASERIP rules. The heroes are battling a xenomorph infestation in Hell’s Kitchen. Using the rules as written, Wolverine repeatedly gets his ass handed to him by the xenomorphs in every battle. Nuff Said.

I can see a team of Predators extrapolating the weaknesses of Logan, but not Xenomorphs
I think a facehugger could potentially impregnate Wolverine, and the chest burster could even grow, and escape. My conclusion to this is simple physiology. Wolverine's skeleton is adamantium, BUT where the chest burster would exit is nothing but pure body cavity. His immune system could potentially kill the burster embryo, but if it were to survive, not only would it be able to escape, but it might actually absorb some of the adamantium into it's own cellular make-up thus giving it a similar skeletal design. Not to mention Logan would quickly heal from the damage caused by the burster. The Unfortunate side effect of this is if the aliens figured this out, and created something strong enough to contain Wolverine, a single queen could produce a nigh unstoppable army of drones, and warriors just from Wolverine's body.
Short of the Xenomorph spitting out Adamantium bile bullets it's Wolverine all day long👍
People always think Wolverine must slash enemies with his claws, forget he fought in wars and was a covert operative for years. Elene Ripley fought aliens and lived, and she had no healing factor.
Wolverine's sense of smell alone would render any stealth the alien has as completely useless, and he could probably hunt one down before it even knew he was in the vicinity. Wolverine against a predator would be way more intriguing. The predator would become the hunted and have to adapt, something we've never really seen explored that much. Stick them in the Savage Land and let them fight.
That one comic scene of Wolverine fighting a xeno is better than both AVP movies!
Heres what I think
When it comes to Logan getting Impregnanted, the alien being able to get through his chest is irreverent, it could just chew downward and out his stomach. I also think he is infectable his regeneration is good but he isnt instantly healing from damage like say how a King Alien does, or the guy he fought in the 3rd X Men movie, or Durge from Star Wars. I do believe from all the lore presented that the Black Goo is the same as Royal Jelly, and it is the same as the mutagenic fluids that Face Huggers and all adult aliens carry. We have seen how violently and rapidly Black Goo damages dna and the like, its much faster than Wolverines Regenerative abilities.
Secondly theirs lots of aliens that ether evolve to use multiple different kinds of acids and other biological weapons in ranged attacks, like the Ranger Alien, Drones, Acid Aliens, the Natural King Aliens as seen by Sideshow collectables and the AvP table top minuter game, not the artificial Purple and White ones seen in comics, and then we see Aliens from non-human species with Acid Projectile attacks, Dog / Ox Aliens, Gorilla Aliens.
If we are talking about intelligence, power, and volume of acid, I think for sure a Natural King Alien, as sceen from Sideshow collectibles and the AvP miniature game, does spit enough acid at long ranges enough that it would kill Wolverine for good, its described making rivers of acid. I think all Aliens have the potential to be smart enough to give Wolverine a through acid bath tbh. The second type I would think are likely to perma kill Wolverine would be the Rangers from Aliens Colonial Marines. They have two alt type mutations of projectiles, one being lots of acid while having low pressure, and another that is a mutagenic acid that will make acidic gas bombs. The acidic gas is not as potent as the others, BUT it fills the area with lots of it and it wont just go away, and it will cover all of Wolverine.
Also theirs some aliens, like a Ranger type from the comics depicted spewing mutagenic fluids, that would also be super dangerous too wolverine.
Lastly, the Aliens also have as good as a regeneration capability, and depending on the type, better than Wolverines. Riddley Scott confirmed in an interview that the aliens can regenerate from serious damage, the one in Covenant that was crushed and dropped, survived the ordeal and eventually regenerated from the damage. This opens up some serous questions, howmany of the aliens in the movie "ALIENS" actually did eventually regenerate from their damage and come back to fight the Marines? I would say, based on alien lore form their own perspective, only extreme head damage and decapitation will fully kill an alien.
Lets say a chest burster were to be able to grow to hatchling size in Wolverine. One if it is taking on his genetic traits it may grow faster with the incorparation of his healing ability. Two it could go downward and out through his abdomen instead of his chest. Now this would not kill him and he would heal. However once it had run away and grown he would then have to face off against an Alien that due to having his traits could be stronger than a normal Alien. It would also be able to rapidly heal itself and regrow missing limbs. It would not have the antiatium metal inside since that was added to Logan. It would however have some sort of extending claws coming out of it's hands. That is a trait Logan already had and was simply improved by the metal he got. Then we would have a battle between the two of them that would be never ending. The three possible ways you pointed out that Logan could be beat would only be two possible ways for the Alien since the acid blood would not be able to destroy every possible cell of the Alien. To destroy every cell of the Alien it would have to be in a molten furness like Ripley fell into at the end of Aliens three or the exhaust of a rocket engine or something of the like. That then would be an amazing battle. What if a chest burster got into Saber Tooth? Saber Tooth has no metal protecting his chest from being cracked open. He has basically the same traits as Logan without the metal. That grown Alien would likewise be a match forever.
If wolverine was impregnated by a facehugger and IF it developed into a chestburster... it would eventually find it's way out through the lower abdomen, assuming wolverine doesn't just cut the damn thing out of himself. If such a xenomorph DID manage to escape wolverine, the resulting creature would be worst case scenario. A xenomorph with bone (or whatever chitinous material they have as bone) claws on top of having talons, and a healing factor. That hellish xenomorph would have to be captured and sent into the sun... or a black hole.
Regarding the chest burster the answer is no. The brood layed an egg inside him and his healing factor slaughtered it so a face hugger would pretty much face the same fate
1) Brood infects people, not incubate a egg inside of it.
2) ALL the X-men AND a power crippled Carol Danvers got infected by the Brood in that story. Carol got a power up and that's where her binary powers came from because the Brood is such shit there weren't ready to infect someone who was non human (since Carol's part Kree). All the other X-men just stood in the sun and got cured. The Brood is such shit, it's laughable.
Problem here is if a xenomorph takes on the DNA of the host and a face hugger gets an egg inside wolverine by nature the embryo would absorb some of his DNA and potentially his regenerative properties. If this were the case the baby xenomorph may not be able to burst its way out but following the normal lifecycle it would mature to adulthood at the usual accelerated rate and would just grow inside wolverine until it rips its way out which both would live through. In such a scenario the more worrying prospect is we now have an acid blooded immortal...
Wolverine easy
If a chestburster formed in Wolverine it would never be able to leave for one simple reason. The adamantium is not even apart of Logans biological mutation, its completely artificial. So you would have a xenomorph with his healing factor but not the bone structure to break Logans ribcage
The Chestburster would just do what it did in Alien Resurrection. Through he mouth and thus Spawn a Adamantium Xenomorph. I’m guessing.
Adamantium was bonded to the bones of Wolverine, so it was an artificial addition to his body. If he was ever truly impregnated by an facehugger, the Alien created would have all his mutant abilities and none of the adamantium, since it has absolutely nothing to do with the mutant's biological abilities or genetic makeup, which is what the Alien usually absorbs. Cool concept, but there's no way it could be made to work "realistically", apart from having a mutant Alien, tie it down and insert Adamantium via external means (in pretty much the same way as Wolverine gets his) or just let if fall into a vat of Adamantium and get an outer coating of it, but an issue exists of whether the Alien's skin can survive something like that, even with a regenerative mutant gene and all (which granted, can be introduced as a designer gene by W-Y if they chose to build a custom Alien from the ground up). :/

Like the Brood. Logan's healing factor would purge the embryo before it had time to develop. He could be overwhelmed by sheer numbers.Warblade of the Wildcats handled the Xenomorphs easily so i don't see Wolverine having issues.

I think Logan would be forever a chest bursting host. Aliens have been shown to burst from other places (reference the alien6) not mention he’s not completely made from adamentium. Wolverine is still prone to being knocked out and so long as the xenomorph prohibit him from moving he’d be in a living hell until a third party could rescue him
Considering that a xenomorph embryo is actually a form of cancer, I wouldn't think Wolverine would be able to contract it. However it would be a really cool story for Wolverine to be impregnated and obviously survive, than have to face a Xenomorph with Regenerative capabilities!
For the sake of a good story I would say that because the chest buster takes on the DNA of its host so it would inherit his healing property. Then there would be an epic show down with wolverine (as a chest bursted eating its way out of wolverine via his stomach wouldn’t kill him) and a regenerating xenomorph.
Don't forget there is a three part Superman Vs. Aliens
Can't really think of a way where a Xenomorph could take out Logan. Like sure there's the whole acid thing, but it would require a full on acid bath and him not leaving it anytime soon in order for them to actually kill him. As for a Facehugger, if we include his actions from the live action movies, if he's aware of a potential threat, he'd probably just tear it out (in the Wolverine he did just that with the parasite that was in him that was weakening his healing factor after he found out about it). As for it trying to punch through, yeah it wouldn't be able to live up to the Chestburster name XD it would have to burrow down into his gut and come out that way.
Beyond that, they'd have to do it like they did in the first Alien vs Predator film where we see what happens when the Xenomorphs overrun things, but that's assuming we're trying to take things to the extreme rather than a straight up fight between him and a Xenomorph (or even just a group of them).
Got to agree with @moeomoton520, I remember reading about the brood parasite not working in him, just couldn’t remember which issue it was. Having said that, one thing we do not calculate is the writers. They will make up their own rules and skip that little history since it doesn’t fit their narrative.
Having said that, I think it would be interesting as Dark Horse did show some variants on the aliens with which they came from different “beings” and that made for some fascinating cases which seeing a short Canuck alien with a cigar looking at the queen alien and calling her bub would be awfully fun. Though you forgot one thing about the healing factor, it’s Logan’s skeletal system which has the bone blades, such as his “daughter” x-23 has or his son. So that alien if it survived would be pretty interesting. And let’s not forget the video game AVP where the alien named “Specimen 6” would become a queen at the end, and having a whole hive of aliens with wolverine dna running around would be interesting
Wolverine gets a face hugger kiss...mutant xenomorph with insane healing factor...he would literally birth an indestructible killing machine...hard to say but I’m leaning towards a stalemate. If Logan doesn’t get a face hugger kiss, he’d have to kill every last queen and destroy every last egg for me to say he’d be the winner. He’d own every ‘regular’ xenomorph with ease though...
