It kinda hurt to hear this. Last year, one of my closest friends went completely silent on me. I assumed he was just busy and had a lot of stuff on his mind. We’d had a fight the year before and worked through it, so I’d assumed we’d just work it out again. But it kept going. I kept asking what I did wrong so I could make it up to him. I apologized countless times because I didn’t know what I did, but he wouldn’t tell me. It was so taxing on my mental health that I spent a couple weeks considering just cutting him off altogether for my own sake, but I couldn’t. He means so much to me and he’d been there for me through so much. I just couldn’t let him go, and it would make it so much more awkward with all my other friends. My biggest flaw is giving too many second chances, no matter how much a person hurts me. We eventually talked through it, but damn. I could almost swear that some quotes from this audio is just the same things I would say to him. The silent treatment is so much worse than a person verbally expressing their anger.
