You're absolutely right, and I like when I hear something new, and it is exactly what you wanted to hear from the artist. This song just feels like it was next, the next step in Mark's progression of his style. It also sounds as if he's been carrying it around in his head for awhile, perfecting it, until he had to let it out and share it. Haha I always read way too much into these things, easily wrapped up into the why this or that is so entertaining. I 'll let myself just enjoy the surprise of a new piece and the pleasure of watching Mark master his craft.
Not only that, but he's that technically flawless player that he worked on his neck placement and picking hand so much it's how people will say "Why does it look so easy!?" When it's ridiculous unique riffs/solos. Dude the softness he plays and his control over subtle mutes, hard to soft picking straight to finger style with gentle releasing only the wammy on a perfect harmonic of chord. That feeling is more an expression of HOW you precieve the insane riffs should be brought out from your own personality. I could go on, Jeff Beck comes to mind in that way. Also since I'm a bassist I obviously got to give it up to how Victor wooten while a tech God he's always more concerned with the presentation of the note and not the mistake of hitting a wrong one. Phew that was long
Very fine bit of melodic fusion. I love the way he brings in the baritone guitar to thicken the groove during the latter third of the composition. The soloing is never mindless with Mark - it's always going somewhere. Thanks for creating this Mr. Lettieri - you are inspirational!
🤩Is this a ninja technique or a parallel world? 🎸Not only is the guitar instrumental incredibly replayable, but the video is also high quality and shows great attention to detail.
Hast du eigentlich die Fiore von Mark schon mal spielen können? Ich hab mir die rote letzten Sommer bei Thomann bestellt und behalten weil sie super ist 😊
My goodness, the run just after the 4:00 mark..... so freakin clean man. Not just the amount of notes, but the clear and defined seperation in-between each.
Hey Mark hope you to read this, I didn't know aout you actually but I got caught with your solo in a Snarky Puppy show, then I said sum like ''let's go check who's this guy'' and I ended up here jaja greetings from Iquique Chile, I'm also a guitarist but I'm not playing due to several reasons BUT jaja I love to listen everybody and you have such a nice music 😅
Freakin awesome, exactly what I've come to expect from you. Fresh and vibrant, routine but excitingly new, and ML just all over it like , well yeah! And the album drops the day before my 65th, thanks Mark! Would love to see the show like I did for the spacey album.
A lot of what compels me to listen to Mark L. is a sense of "What's he got up his sleeve next?" There's always so many techniques applied, exciting phrasing and a mind-boggling assortment of chords and inversions. Everything is so appropriately placed too. Also, he unleashes the robot at 4:10. An ascendant man.
Streaming on repeat. Loving the sound !! Fantastic as always- super excited and looking forward to the album coming out in July. We'll be seeing you in Sacramento next week - is it true we can pick up the new album then, before everyone else !?!?!?
Hi Mark, You're kind of rock-jazz fusion guitar hero that we all need, so refreshing to hear in this pre-calculated pre-compressed taping-slapping-popping modern guitar landscape. Ace job on soloing on that beautiful chord progressions. Especially kudos to songwriting, which is another ingredient that vastly missing today - songwriting and actually good SONGS! Would it be any chance to upload backing track of this song, so we others can jam on top it? Thanks and kind regards, Igor
A very pleasant sounding bit of music, I'd say. The player appears to have very fine dexterity and understands the way this particular instrument can generate various sounds. A sonically well-conceived recording with the right hints of distortion at appropriate intervals. I would recommend that this Mark Lettieri chap continue to pursue his interests in this field. I believe that he as a modicum of aptitude for a career, but only if he continues to practice and strive to learn and grow every day. Nice sneakers too.
Hey Mark, huge fan!! Please put 'Futurefun', 'Knows', and 'Out by Midnight' on CD and vinyl! I will buy multiple copies of each! Love your work, want to see you in Thousand Oaks, Calif, hopefully. You're in with my huge collection of Pat Metheny and Steely Dan! God bless!
Saw this band last Saturday. Incredibly tight and energetic. Quite a celebration of Yes music. About 2 1/2 hours. They did the two release tracks off the album. The Band Geeks aren’t just hired hands…they are lovers of the music from high school. Highly recommend their videos, particularly “The Calling.”
Layers and orchestration. Surprised only three clones were needed. There are plenty of blazing guitarist out there, (Mark is too obviously😀) but this is just very good music. I’m happy!
Mark Lettieri yawning at Mark Lettieri's solo - top Marks for that touch.
There’s only one Mark Lettieri. Oh wait…
Ti me the sign of a great guitarist is when you recognise them after a couple of notes. Mark Lettieri is one of them.
I don't know. He sounds like every other guitar player in this video...

yup same with STEVE VAI

Super melodic, as usual. Not to reveal my gear-nerdiness, but do I spy a crate combo amp? You do not see that very often these days!
My first amp! Crate GX15
You would know his sound and his playing anywhere. Amazing
Looking forward to the Album!
Aber sowas von!

@@hinnelein1 Oh Danke! 16.11 :)

So many Marks, and also so many Fiores! In fact a beautiful showcase of the many colors and textures of this beautiful guitar.
Very good! Catchy tune with punchy groove!
This track rules so hard. Can't wait for the new album!
Every time I get to the end my hand involuntarily goes for the replay button... I can't stop...
Such an awesome chord progression Mark filled with groove and soul. Your soloing is so melodic. You never disappoint
Love the visuals! Really cool idea. Bunch a Marks casually hanging out. And the sonic palette of all of this....
Already listened more than 10 times... So many good things in this song, you should make an entire album in this style.
That Bass tone - solid. Awesome music!

This really hits the Mark 😅
Yep. I love you, sir.

Yeas!!!
The low pitch rift is bordering on rock, yet the lead notes in parts quite melodic.
Amazing

Mic’d up crate is the right call.
The only way to tone.
