The statement that he hopes his sister's killer will find Jesus Christ, is one of the most powerful, forgiving, and sincere words I have heard on a stage that is made for politicians....and here normal Americans allowed to grieve publicly for the lack of leadership in our nation that directly affects their grieving family. Im 65 and i haven't cried so much in the last few day. I had a moment in life that changed my view on the hard to believe. My brother was dying. He was born with a defective liver. One of only a few known cases. Hard to go into the details. But me and my two brothers were digging worms. Something we made great money on. It was in the afternoon. I noticed my brother my youngest brother laying down in the dirt. He was 7 i was 13 other brother was 12. I knew something wasn't right. I ran for my father. It's when we found out about my brother's condition. For years he underwent surgery after surgery one time i believe he was in his early twenties and frist time living from home he stayed we me. I'm married now with my first kid a son. My brother fell sick i rushed him to the hospital. The doctors that have all studied him. Decided to operate on him. On the day of the operation i was there. When doctors called us into a room. And told they decided not to operate. He would certainly die. They can him alive with drugs and we all agreed. My brother was on his death bed he has married and two wonderful kids. But it all went south in a heartbeat. He was unrecognizable. They found a liver. And as they were taking him into the operation room. My Dad died. My sister's told me. I told everyone not to mention anything to my brother. He loved his dad. Me not so much. 3 days later and i was with him the whole time. He comes around. Looks me straight in the eyes. And says. I know Derrick. Dad was here. He was standing right behind you. I don't know and I can't explain but that moment changed me. Thanks for reading. Love

When we give it over to the Lord and forgive others under the most brutal circumstances, God will grant His children such peace that surpasses human understanding. Sadly, the lost their precious sister, daughter, aunt, niece, granddaughter, and friend that day, but her life was not cut short in vain. We live in a fallen world, but our hope only comes from Jesus and spending eternity with our Lord. May God bless this family and otter families who have suffered at the hands of evil.
