    Jordan at 29 was untouchable. Jordan at his best. The last 1/3rd of the 91-92 season to the first 2/3rds of the 92-93 season was MJ with ZERO weaknesses. Zero holes in his game at all. Feb.92 to Feb.93 he averaged like almost 34 a game and 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and almost 3 steals a game. Led the league in scoring and steals both. On over 50% shooting. That was when he was on top of the world. Season total for 92/93 was 32 and a half points, 6 and a half rebounds, 5 and a half assists, and he led the league in steals with just under 3 a game. Also won his 7th consecutive scoring title. Most all-time.
    And then after he hurt his wrist (again, 2nd time that season) after he turned 30 it took a minute to heal. His scoring dipped a little bit but still had 32 and a half a game that year. But then he was also 30 now after the all-Star break 2/3rds of the way through the season and with that hurt wrist, he didn’t drive the lane and dunk on everybody every time like he did even a year to 2 years earlier. 30 is when that physical down-slant starts. But, the dude had a 47/48 inch-4 foot-vertical leap. Highest in NBA history. So even after he started that physical “down-slant” he STILL had over a 40 inch vertical by the time he was 33-34 and still dunking on the 7’7 co-tallest player ever Gheorge Muresan in ‘97. He just didn’t do it every time down the floor anymore, like I said.. But 4-5 years earlier, like here, at 29, he still could.. 64 points, his second highest career total. He was completely unstoppable at this point, at 29.
    I’d take the 92 or 92/93 bulls over the 96 bulls any day, the 92 bulls only lost like 4 more games than the 96 bulls they’re both listed in the top 10 teams in NBA history. And I’d rather have Jordan at 29 in his prime than Jordan at 32-33 with a deeper bench. The 92 team had better starters but the 96 team was deeper. But also older. They were all like 30+ during the second 3-peat save for Kukoc and Longley. Rodman was 2 years older than Jordan…. I’d rather have Horace Grant anyway, that’s another offensive weapon that will still also grab 10 rebounds a game. Maybe not 15-20 like Rodman, but Grand averaged a double-double he’d give you 16 points and 10 rebounds and 3 blocks about every game. Their 3rd leading scorer behind Jordan and Pippen. They had a better offense during the 1st 3-peat and a better defense & bench during the 2nd 3-peat. But like I said, I’d rather have MJ in his prime. I think the 92 Bulls would beat the 96 Bulls 7-8/10 times. Jordan averaged over 30 a game, 6 and a half rebounds, and 6 assists. With 2 and a half steals and a block a game.. Versus same 30 a game with same 6 and a half rebounds but with 4 assists, 2 steals, and half a block a game. He shot better from 3 in 96, best in his career in a full season at almost 43% (shot 50% from 3 in 95, but didn’t play the full season), but he shot 52% from the floor total in 92 versus 49.5% from the floor in 96…. Like I said, I’d rather have Jordan in his prime at his peak than Jordan at 32-33 and Rodman & Kukoc, I’m cool with Grant as the PF & Paxson as the shooter off the bench. He hit bigger shots than Kukoc ever did. 92 Bulls were better than the 96 team regardless of their 4 more wins. They still went like 68-14 I think instead of 72-10. That’s just as good of a team. They had a harder stretch in the playoffs too; the Magic in the ECF were tough but the 92 team had tough teams in every series. The Knicks were a rival back then. And the Blazers were the new best team in the west post-Magic Lakers. And they still ran through all of them. Jordan put on a hell of a show in the 92 finals. And the 93 finals too. And the 91 finals. He balled out in all 3. In 91 he averaged like 31 points and 13 assists in that finals. In 92 he did it all, and the 93 finals he averaged 41 points a game after his wrist injury was mostly healed. He was untouchable before he retired the first time around.

    This is what the old Bulls announcers would have called “an easy 60 for Michael.” Every shot came within the flow of the game. Nothing forced. The greatest athlete to ever compete in any sport.
    Also, “don’t help me up Shaq. I’d have been a little intimidated if you didn’t help me up.”

      Shaq was a phenom. If Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Grant Hill, etc. etc. were born a few years earlier and were also in that 1992 draft class, not a single person in the world would've argued that maybe one of them should go #1 before Shaq. Shaq was like the 2nd coming of Wilt Chamberlain.

    • @FuShengAlex
      @FuShengAlex Рік тому

      @@drlight6677 Tim Duncan hypothetically would have more than adequate reason to relegate Shaq to #2 in any NBA draft. He left college as the best player in the nation. He was actually more polished than Shaq himself was coming outta college.
      As for the rest you mentioned it would be foolish to draft any of them over Shaq.

      Yea well it’s also what allowed Jordan to put up 64 points. His 2nd highest career game. Crazy thing is that in his highest career game he set his career highs for points AND rebounds in the same game. 69 & 18. Damn near 70 and 20 as a guard. That’s insane. He’s the goat without any sort of debate.
