“When choosing a solo, I wanted to showcase two of my favourite humans who have walked the earth. The legendary Ella Fitzgerald and of course, Henrik Jensen.
When this performance was recorded, it was the centennial year of Ella Fitzgerald and naturally, I wanted to celebrate that.

Smooth. Everything dissolved, the whole world around us all dissolved into the glow of the lights and the smoke and haze of the room; and then the piercing note rang out and brought us all back in. We were wrested from that swirling, dissolved, ephemeral moment of homogeneity and with that little prickle on the back of the neck we were brought back to the buttery, smooth state of conscious existence. Warm, brilliant. Ella is beyond reproach, but you did her a service in making this yours.
