Hassan Reddick and his agent had a discussion with Jets GM Joe Douglas BEFORE the trade was done. Jets told Hassan and his agent they would negotiate during the season or after the season. And Hassan and his agent agreed to those terms. This crew is blaming the Jets when it was Hassan and his agent who reneged on their word. Hassan and his agent are wrong.
How the hell is Reddick the 2nd most important player? How about Quinnen, Sauce, Garret Wilson, Breece Hall? people who have and will be the backbone of this team for years (hopefully). Reddick has disrespected the Jets by going back on his word and he is only harming himself. Who is going to sign him if he doesn't play? Who is going to sign him if he negotiates in bad faith? He will not get the big contract he wants.
@@jayc6743 Exactly, Q is one of the best interior lineman and Sauce is arguably the best Corner in the league. We have had one of the best defences in the league over the last couple of years, without Reddick.
Because the jets are the team that traded for a guy who openly said he wanted a new deal. There’s nothing wrong with doing what the eagles did and trading away someone you’re not gonna pay. IF they were to trade him, then a team that does the trade and doesn’t make a deal would look silly too
@@Falloutx360a Not if they had an agreement in place. Things only turned sour once the Jets traded away JFM and Reddick decided he wanted a new contract now. The Jets sent a 2026 3rd rounder, clearly the market for Reddick wasn't huge. He has no leverge.

They did offer him a new contract, BEFORE the trade, he said I’ll consider it later…. Non issue.. Hassan has been with 4 teams in 4 years.. it’s the player.
This is on the Jets...the team KNEW he wanted a new contract and made the trade. Making the trade the player is expecting a new deal. You do know the jets won 7 games lost year with no good qb right? Should have beaten the chiefs right? Did beat the eagles right? The defense isn’t the problem it was the offense. Throw in the fact that the Jets did talk to him about a contract from the reports and he wasn’t happy with it after he made the trade and didn’t sign it. Jets through reports were transparent with him about what they wanted and needed and would do and he was fine until the trade went through. This does not fall on the jets. I would say 20% of this can be but majority is about him going back on his word…
@@jayc6743 Actually it does fall on the Jets, reports show they only made one offer and has not reached out to him since. That does not seem like you really want to give him a new contract.
