The 4th chapter is the time when my friends and I returned to this game, fhe entire s1-s3 map is remembered by all 3 of us, the weapons were amazing, especially the shockwave hammer and the katana and now that we are playing in ch 5, we still miss the map of ch4. I dont care if ppl think this is a filler season, and it's probably the reason why we still play the game

Chapter 4 was a originally supposed to be a part of chapter 3, which is why it felt so rushed: it wasn’t intended to exist. Last resort, Mega, and Wilds all had files that were linked to chapter 3, implying that chapter 4 was a last minute decision. Also I actually enjoyed chapter 4, season 1 and 4 were some of my favorite seasons ever, season 3 was eh, and I didn’t like season 2 (controversial I know).
( I’m late sorry) You’re definitely right about it being rushed last minute, it doesn’t help that the storyline says how Slone survived the tank being crushed by the robot but it doesn’t make sense that an entire jungle was underneath the map that was forged and created after the event where it grab random chunks and put it all together. I’m assuming the wilds season was supposed to occur around Indiana jones poi back in chapter 3 season 3 and mega was supposed to happen near the volcano area since that is when we’re introduced to evie and her group. But atlas well never know 🤷🏽♂️

Call me a batsard, but I found Fortnite OG really repetitive and quit for half of the month, only returning to finish the battle pass, which I have to admit it was goated, and the storyline quests.
Literally ive started playing fortnite for weid items like the goo launcher and shockwave hamer the og season did not have anything like that wich made me barely play all updates (also i play zero build and crossing mountains is a such a boring thing ngl)
It was just the worst as the map was empty with way too much dead space and no landmarks and the current map falls into it a bit. Also the event was a cocktease for the new map. We saw cannons, the steamy stacks cooling tower, the rocket, mech parts, etc. also I hate how now each chapter has new weapons ever new one and nothing can be old at first and it isn’t that fun. Also it really took the trend of epic removing something if it doesn’t fit the theme to a new level. It’s just annoying and not fun as just keeping fun stuff. Also I like augments but as you said they removed the old ones that were good and kept the boring ass ones. I mean the flint knock and ballon ones were quickly removed same for the combat shotgun and tac ar as those are some of the best ones and they just couldn’t keep them for some stupid reason. Also the chapter 4 map and now 5 are smaller than the others which isn’t good as it’s all cramped. Also a gripe I had with og was that polar peak returned in its shitty ruined form. I mean it should of been the castle as the castle was a fun area.

It was a switch in my mind. i feel like a lot of people didnt like this chapter because it didnt have the classic fortnite tropes (city poi's, neighborhood poi's, factory or some type of industrial poi, camp or forest poi. consistent and random fun updates, live events and the cartoony art style) which every chapter from 1 - 3 did.
I didn’t like Wilds as much as other seasons in chapter 4 but I had fun during it and I thought it had the best bonus styles of the chspter. I run skins from that battle pass a lot purely because the confetti claw style just slaps.
To be honest I feel like Chapter 4 season 1 should have started with the map smaller and the other pics floating around slowly come closer to be added to it. Because you know it's a bunch of fractured pieces from different lands, it should not come together that fast. But maybe it would be short updates. But on the other hand Chapter 4 feels not complete, its like it was rushed and started off at the wrong time. I think we should have stayed on chapter 3 for a couple more seasons to 1 because I feel like going from vibing to fracture was way to big of a leap. Maybe have season 8 be the fracture of the map and we have to go back in time to save the Zero point from shattering, bringing us to OG Fortnite.
Mega was amazing and last resort was fun asf until it got sweaty (Valid opinion on Wilds although anytime I go into a red v blue game or something like that. I have to pick the chapter 4 season three load out.)

I will always hate chapter 4 for ruining the good chapter streak, ch4 s3 was agonizing and i basically forced myself to play it until the summer event dropped where i stopped playing all together until s4. Ch4 s2 was pretty good in the start until it got boring asf, mega city felt empty and the other pois were pretty bad and around nobody landed there. Ch4 s1 was pretty decent, i liked the new pois and the loot was pretty nice. Ch4 s4 was by far the best season in chapter 4, the pois were great, mythic was nice and the loot was pretty alright it was also the only season i got over lvl 150. Overall i think ch4 was a 4 outta 10, i think it was really just a big let down from how great ch1, ch2 and ch3 were

I will always hate chapter 4 for ruining the good chapter streak, ch4 s3 was agonizing and i basically forced myself to play it until the summer event dropped where i stopped playing all together until s4. Ch4 s2 was pretty good in the start until it got boring asf, mega city felt empty and the other pois were pretty bad and around nobody landed there. Ch4 s1 was pretty decent, i liked the new pois and the loot was pretty nice. Ch4 s4 was by far the best season in chapter 4, the pois were great, mythic was nice and the loot was pretty alright it was also the only season i got over lvl 150. Overall i think ch4 was a 4 outta 10, i think it was really just a big let down from how great ch1, ch2 and ch3 were

Wilds sucked gameplay wise but it felt fun because I moved recently and I got back in touch with my old friends and we played this every week so it felt fun that way. Season 2 sucked other than Star Wars.
