DCP with yet another piece of top shelf content! The Ludwig is phenomenal!! 🥁🥁
I chose the Gretsch Ridgeland as my favorite. How-ever, they all sounded good!! I was very surprised how well the Ludwig Universal was “right there” w/ the others especially being the least costly of this group. I appreciate the effort DCP puts into the Royal Drumble which also allows us drummers to compare snares that we possibly would like to purchase & hear them in comparison to other snares!! After my years of collecting snares drums, sometimes our eye’s pic over ears?? Nice job DCP
Love the drumble! I'm going for the pearl reference
They all sound amazing but give this one to the Pearl Reference One
The Pearl reference one gets my vote. It’s is the one for me
The Pearl Refrence for me. But hell, they all sounded good though. Bit the Pearl is the winner I think
All were good, but I am most pleased with the Pearl reference one.
Pearl, Gretsch, British, Ludwig
Great lineup as always. Digging Pearl the most
Ludwig #1, overall best sound, looks great.
Gretsch#2,
Pearl#3, this snare has an after- ring especially on high tuning. Nice color.
Would have liked to see all the same size snares. Good job, love DCP
I liked the Ludwig the best and the Gretsch a close second then Pearl and British
It's the Gretsch Ridgeland for me this time.
I'm a Gretsch guy, but I preferred the Pearl Reference One in this contest. BTW, I finally got to visit DCP last week while on vacation in NE! Amazing place you folks have! 🤘😎🥁
Pearl ' no 1. Then Bdc then Ludwig
1. Ludwig--before a note was played, it is breathtaking. Versatile, lush tones
2. British Drum Company--satisfying tone, it cuts!
3. Pearl--another visual beauty, great sound
4. Gretsch--I had a Gretsch snare similar to this (3 ply from Ridgeland factory) years ago but it never sounded this good
Gretsch for me if I must choose! Pearl in the lower tuning also great.
All great snares, but I think it’s the Gretsch Ridgeland for me
My heartfelt vote goes for the Brithis Drum Co.'s Super 7. So beautiful in sound and appearance. Thank you so much for the Drumbles. It's drum porn at its finest.
Gotta go Gretsch on this one. Some Gretsch snares just have a delicious density.
1. Ludwig
2. Pearl
3. BDC
4. Gretsch
Gretsch has a lil something extra imo
Ludwig this week.
I'll have to go with the British Drum Company Super 7. Sounds amazing in both tunings.
I'm loving the Ludwig ...!!!❤
They all sounded good to me. It was tough between Ludwig and Gretsch.
1) Gretsch Ridgeland
2) Ludwig Universal Beech
3) Pearl Reference
4) BDC Super
Really like the sound of the Gretsch.
Ludwig Universal Beech sounded best to me.
The British Super 7 takes it for me. 13” diameter so that it can handle higher tunings comfortably, and 7” deep for some extra low-end smack. My favorite snare size by far
I am a Pearl tragic but my ears went Ludwig, Pearl, BDC & Gretsch
The British Drum company drum for me pile drived the rest into unconsciousness and pinned the rest for the 3 count for the win, what consistency even with just the room mics alone.
gotta be pearl reference one
This might be the closest one yet.
Gonna go with Pearl at #1, but that Ludwig Universal Beech is a close second
Gretsch Ridgeland, New Englander in shorts on Oct 8....Highly suspect.🤔
BDC
PEARL
LUDWIG
GRETSCH
Pearl Reference 💖
I give the super 7 the win, just has the best range of tone, if I had to pick a number two I would say Ludwig is number 2.
Tough one, but I would go for the Ludwig
Veeery close this time.
1) Ludwig
2) Pearl
3) Gretsch
4) BDC
The Gretsch for me. Much more sensitive than the Ludwig, which you can clearly hear in the head 2 head. And it just brings out the sound of the wood the most. The Pearl is a close second though.
The Gretsch wins it for me, followed closely by the Ludwig, then the Pearl, and then the British Drum Co. They were all so close though.
BDC Super 7 for me. Pearl second
Gretch sounded the best then Pearl on the video. But, I would have to visit the store and actually play it myself to see the difference. Thank you.
Gretsch, ludwig, British, pearl
Gretsch USA Custom
Pearl
Gretsch Ridgeland
I'm a Pearl guy for this time ❤DCP
As much as I like the Pearl Reference series, I'm gonna go w/the British Beat snare drum.
I will go with Gretsch Ridgeland
Ludwig for the win
Pearl # 1
Gretsch Ridgeland followed by British Drum Company.
British 7 was most unique for me.
My old ears loved the Gretsch.
Ludwig Universal!
Have to go Ludwig beech for all that body.
Pearl, most likely, but I liked the British a lot as well.
Lugwig all day
My vote goes to British 13x7
Soundwise, I would have to give it to the Gretsch.(but by a mm or two.) Looks wise, didn't really care for the other 3 anyway, but the Pearl has the strainer out too far for my taste. So, Gretsch for the win.
Gretsch number 1 British drum number2
British Drum Co for the win!
I like the BDC Super 7
It's the Gretsch for me!
Very tough round! I actually can't choose a winner out of the Ludwig, Gretsch, and Pearl, but I can say the British Drum Company was my least favourite.
Nice vid! I liked the Ludwig the least.
I love the Gretsch
British Super 7
Honestly I dont understand that a ringy snare is a thing. For me it is challenging. I give my vote to Gretsch for being good in both low and high tuning.
Gretsch and Ludwig were very close for me but the Gretsch wins it this time.
Gretsch baby!
BDCis for me!
Ludwig
British drum co, then Pearl.
Gretsch
And the winner is... Pearl Reference!
Gretsch!!!!
Gretsch!!!
Pearl !
LUDWIG!!!!!!
All sound great but the Pearl has that fat crack that always perks my ears
Pearl Shmerl you guys need your hearing checked
Gretsch
Gretsch
By far this round was the most challenging. All of them sound great. I'll go with the Ludwig Universal Beech.
