Mao had the quickest plane and you played as if you were in the matrix.... This was my favorite game when I was living in Japan... Kudos to you for mastering this game..
Yeah, it's almost like that old discussions about which had the best sound: the SNES or the Genesis. Many people prefered the Genesis' sounds better, they had a lot of bass and fitted very well in sports games, while others preferred the orchestrated-like music and sounds the SNES could deliver.
Ahh... Spent many an hour on this game. I beat the game (2 loops) on 1 credit using Lord White - his primary weapon, when powered up, has no maximum count/limit as long as it hits something, so the end boss can be killed quickly by going right up to it and shooting as fast as you can, so that your shells impact the boss immediately. The weapon's secondary effect compounds the damage... it's a bit cheap because you can destroy him without him getting off a shot, but really effective
I could only ever beat the game on one credit using Kohful, and certainly not without losing a life. If this is real, my hat is off to you AND your cocaine dealer, because holy damn those are the best reflexes I've seen on a video game player outside of professional Killer Instinct.
+aruya Bullet Hell was a bad term, but I generally refer it to any shooter that isn't like the old classic arcade games (Defender, Galaga, etc). Either way, though, Todd is correct and this looks like a very well done shooter.
This game also led to the creation of Psikyo after several Video System members had a falling out with the switch to Neo Geo when Aero Fighters 2 was in development
I like the way you think. I also consider many SNES games being superior to their Arcade counterparts just for the music. That shows just how important music is in a video game. Some examples are: Gradius III, Final Fight (well, not superior but the soundtrack kicks ass), TMNT IV, and the list goes on! Even Dracula X had much better arrangements than the same tracks present in PC Engine's Rondo of Blood, and that one was in CD!
I actually beat this...at an alcohol arcade joint where I did not have to use quarters lol(ZED 80 Toronto) Many gameovers were had until that fucking monkey went down. Great game.
You wouldn't know it from this video, but this game's design is diabolical. There are four planes to choose from, each from a different country, and the first three stages are in the countries you didn't choose. As SCHLAUCHI chose the Japanese plane, he didn't go to Japan. Good thing, too, because then he'd have become a mass murderer, as you wind up destroying not only enemy fighters, but also civilian buildings and cars. Someone on the design staff must've been bitter over their country getting nuked twice.
ai assisted for sure , this is why i don't like this channel, the electric underground talked about it in one of his videos. i always felt that most of these replays are not right.
yet another nifty play by Sensei SCHLAUCHI! what is this, VideoSystem month or something? (LOL) seriously tho, this is the one that made them famous worldwide, and it only got better-albeit shorter-upon them partnering with SNK-Playmore on the good ol' NeoGeo. I'm thinking of going to the Longplays website to request Sonic Wings Special either for the PSOne or PSN in a few.
"I can't believe it! They're aliens!"
No idiot is the Bolivia army!
¿Tu vienes por dross, verdad?, porque yo también vine por dross
This game and the sequel were amazing
Raiden is a better, more iconic game
What about the 3rd or 4th game?
Don't forget aero fighters made a 2001 goofy prediction
@@xxXnigerianhunterXxx ukraine?
I beat this game on one credit, First loop but didn't last long in the second loop. I felt like a master of aero fighters! Way back in the day
13:04 y aqui esta el jefe final del juego
Un tabaco volador que es casi indestructible

3:49 Mao: My gosh, how is the aircraft flying on its own?
Welcome to the century of UAVs
I'm surprised the JSDF let someone named Mao in.
@@SergeantPsychoIt was an accident she became a fighter pilot.
I want this in my mame list but damn that laser sound is obnoxious.

My cousin and I used to play this. Europe-final countdown blazing through the speakers. I must’ve been like 6 (2003). It was EPIC !
The true final boss is a...Golden Sayian Ape?!?!
Regardless, sick man. Great job. I am humbled.
Gerardo Garza García if your familiar with the movie Firefox featuring Clint Eastwood, there is a boss in this game similar to what he had to steal.
Ape did went to space before

But lord white is so slow
I played the crap out of this at a restaurant that had a cabinet of it back in the day. So great.

As far as bullet hell games go, this one is fairly pleasing to the eyes, making it easier to see what's going on.
a merk This is not a bullet hell game; if you know Strikers 1945 series, you get my point.
Yeah it's not a bullet hell game, its a great shooter though, I don't usually like the bullet hell shooters that much
+aruya Bullet Hell was a bad term, but I generally refer it to any shooter that isn't like the old classic arcade games (Defender, Galaga, etc). Either way, though, Todd is correct and this looks like a very well done shooter.
AND it's also the franchise that put VideoSystem on the map!

This guy is good. I would have died like two levels ago
I remember this game. Very popular on base when I was a kid
My favorite game of it’s type. I wish this was on PlayStation...😞
it has already released on Playstation as "Sonic Wings Special"
@Linggar Suwandi The only one I remembered was the one that only worked for the Japanese Playstation console, that one didn’t work on U.S. consoles..
@@creoleDJ ah, sorry about that. I thought you are using Playstation emulator
@Linggar Suwandi naw, don’t have the emulator, but I may need to get it! 👍🏾
i use to have that arcade machine i loved it i had a raiden 2 it got lots of abuse

You fought the joke character then.
I love how the Russian stage's boss is the MiG-31 Firefox, ripped straight out of the novel and the movie! Not only one Firefox, but TWO!!!
And now this game is about to have its 30th aniversary!!!
I still have the SNES port of this and it's just as awesome as the arcade version
gimtek except for the music. Its not awful on SNES but not great
Still have It? Today It is Very expensive lol
13:02 Es el tabaco volador :v
excellent run sir !
They already did that one, I believe.
Let's Fight.
It’s back! This series!
I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED
So good!
One of the rare games where the arcade PCB is a fraction of the price of the SNES home port
What software was used to make sprites for Aero Fighters/Sonic Wings?

Where do uou play this game?
You are a great player
What About The SNES Console Port Game Version?
It's fair. It's definitely not as good as the arcade game it attempts to copy.
Id play this at the barber shop
how do you play second player without co-op?
Holly shit your good.
That is the worst justification for a loop 2 since Twin Hawk.
Most out of left field final boss ever?

SNES music is the best
Isn't Mao cute? 🥰
