My botw Link: **going places he logically shouldn’t, seeing how far he can go with breaking physics. My BOTW Link rarely ever uses the actual path, just climbs everything. You need to go from one town to another you logically use the road, nope he climbs the cliff and goes frolicking over the mountains. He has an amazing horse but refuses to use it because he's afraid to see it die even though he can bring it back so he either warps or walks/climbs everywhere.
Thinks of odd solutions to puzzles, like in the myahm agana shrine he decided to flip the board upside down and just flick the ball to the goal. He has proven he has some serious patience.

I mean shit if the "real" hero died, so did Link. He got put in the revival shrine for 100 years and lost all his memories. Who's to say the reincarnation cycle didn't just plop the hero's spirit and the triforce into him then, explaining why he died to first time but could beat ganon the second, despite everyone who was on his side being absent that time?
Ya know... this aint that bad of an idea
... I... I have no words for how much that works.
That's so Medievil/Legacy of Kain I love
You forget about how the first time he faced Calamity Ganon, he *ALSO* had to fight the army of fully(or near fully) operational Guardians that Calamity Ganon corrupted after waking, while having to protect Zelda from said Guardian army, and with *no shield* to reflect the laser blasts.
The man is good, hell, he's the best of the best... But some things you just can't beat.
And facing an army of guardians with no shield and having to protect someone would certainly fall into that category. If he had a shield, or didn't have to guard Zelda, or didn't have to face an army of lasers, or even knew what was going to happen ahead of time, we might have had a very different story.
I mean, that's a nice theory, but let's not forget he pulled the master sword as a kid, pretty sure you can't do that without the hero's spirit.

It may also be why the Master Sword ‘runs out of battery’. I like the idea that BOTW link is left handed by nature, he just had the shit beaten out of him by his dad as part of knight training. So he was forced to become a righty.
@Original Name the only other right handed link: Skyward Sword.
To be far, breath of the wild link is a trained soldier who has a heart and will to use the master sword. The link that was supposed to be the hero was a farmer who died in his first battle.
To be fair, I don't think the hero was prepared for robot octopi that have an eye laser for their first battle. I'm not sure if plot armor alone can save you from that...normally, you'd have a chance to run away and vow vengeance, which can't really happen if it's a machine revolution, instead of a goblin army.
This reminds me of how wind waker link was like “it’s not me? Too bad it is now” and dug the triforce up so the goddess had no choice
On one hand this is funny, on the other hand I'm crying at the revelation that Link died protecting his family, a simple farm hand with no grasp of his greater fate.
I wouldn't say it's sad, he still saved what was important to him by fighting bravely. Isn't that why he is the hero?
Here is the thing, even if he wasn‘t the chosen hero, that wouldn‘t be a first. Wind waker Link had to literally prove himself to the gods to be the hero. He literally made himself the hero through his courage, wisdome, strength and determination. This is no different
Windwaker links a badass. His sister got kidnapped by a giant bird so he forced the gods to make him the wielded of the triforce so he can save her and the world

After seeing the actions of this demon we call „Link“ in TOTK I have come to understand that he was not chosen by hylia, demise, or any ancient being. He is simply far too powerful for the world to exist if he was treated as what he truly is. We’ve seen what he does to the inhabitants of the land of hyrule whilst being fully aware that he is supposed to be the hero. Imagine if he was aligned with a different force.
Ok, but imagine the intensity of a scene where the only one who doesnt know hes the hero is Link.

OMG YESSSSS
The Link in windwaker was not “the hero” either, apparently.

@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx Ganon's sealed at the end of TWW.

Okay, a bit of clarification. The interpretation for not being "The Hero" is specifically that Link is not the Hero of Time (which he's not, obviously) and that he's not a blood descendant of him, either. Apparently this does not actually rule him out from being The Hero, though.
There's a conversation between Jabun and the King of Red Lions in ancient hylian that goes like this:
Jabun: Well met, Hyrule King!
King of Red Lions: Well met indeed, Jabun. I am pleased to see that you are safe...
Jabun: The events which we have long feared seem to have been set into motion.
King of Red Lions: Yes, it seems Ganon has returned. There can be no other explanation.
Jabun: If you have sought me out...it must mean you have found the Hero of Time, does it not?
King of Red Lions: Unfortunately, that is not so.
Jabun: Then for what purpose have you come to see me?
King of Red Lions: **The one I have brought with me has no connection to the legendary one. And yet I sense great promise in the courage that this one possesses.
**
Jabun: Promise? You suggest that I leave the fate of Hyrule up to chance?
King of Red Lions: I do. It is the only way.
Jabun: I see. Then I suppose it is up to the gods to deem whether his courage is true. I give to you the guidepost to the gods.

Now that's breaking traditions.

The "real" link vs. Speedrun OAOAOAO Link.
The hero of the winds was not chosen by hylia either, he only found himself involved in a problem of apocalyptic proportions due to an accident. But he was one of the most powerful links and the only one who was able to get rid of ganondorf without giving him the chance to return in his timeline.
Honestly, I always wondered why the hero of the wild never had a triforce unlike the other ones so this sorta makes sense.
Its because Zelda has all the of the triforce pieces
“You caught a Sidon! Keep it in your inventory?”
yes
Having the triforce in your hand means a lot of things.
Having no triforce means you can ride on flying trees.
i love how people are explaining the lore while i’m questioning his shirt logo 💀
I would 100% consider this canon if it werent for the fact that BotW Link can wield the master sword, something only the hero is supposed to be able to do
But there is also the hero of the Wind who was not a chosen one, but restored both the Master Sword and Triforce.
A yiga blade master has literally been showing pulling it out of the pedestal
I like the idea tho of someone who want "chosen" actually doing better than what they could've done. Like, Link want children, sure, but he did a dam good job so it doesn't really matter at this point
...Ya know... that would explain so much and so little at the same time.
Like... how in the hell did the Master Sword choose that Link then?
Because if I remember right, only Link could actually SEAL away evil with it. I know it IS possible to beat Ganon without the Master Sword but it's generally within the Legend Of Zelda Canon that he has used the Master Sword to seal him away.
So... theoretically, the Link that ISN'T actually Hylia's chosen could wield the sword but at the same time he couldn't be able to seal away Ganon. Maybe the Light Arrows used in the final fight might have done something?
It's really interesting to think about in all honesty, a Link that is technically speaking not the chosen one.
Ganon has canonically been dealt with in a number of ways. In the timeline where Link dies in Ocarina of Time, Zelda and the Seven Maidens actually manage to seal him away setting up a Link to the Past. Also in Wind Waker Ganon was sealed forever just by wishing to the Triforce to take him down.
Pretty sure it's established that only holy weapons or weapons empowered by some sort of light can beat Ganon (After all, the Four Sword was able to seal Ganon away despite not being the master sword). I assume that even if wielded by someone else, the sword could still beat Ganon, but the user just wouldn't be able to access the full power of the weapon. Plus, the sword seems to have an awakened state when in the presence of evil like Ganon's, so if that state works even when not wielded by the hero, then perhaps it is possible that the sword can still hurt Ganon at the very least. Plus, it wasn't Link who sealed Ganon. It was Zelda who sealed him away. Link just weakened Ganon enough that Zelda could overpower him, which if he wasn't the hero, then that would actually make sense why he couldn't unlock the full power of the Master Sword (unless you count the Master Sword trial DLC as part of the story, which DLCs usually aren't canon to story). That would explain why the sword only works when in the presence of Ganon.
Plus, it makes sense that Link wouldn't be the only one to be able to handle the sword. If Link fails to kill Ganon, then someone else would have to take up the sword unless they're willing to wait for another incarnation of Link. Perhaps it is possible others can use the sword, but they cannot use the full power of the sword. That would explain why this Link had to go through a massive trial in order to unlock the full power of the blade even after what he went through 100 years ago.
@@Hei_Darkfire That does make sense in all honesty.
@@lf4227 Yeah, I forgot about those methods. But I think I was mainly focusing more on the Master Sword being used then anything else. After all, it is the Blade of Evil's Bane.
And I really don't think we should count the Triforce because... it's a wish-granting item. It can grant any wish (remember Lorule?) and therefore could just... beat Ganon in any possible way. Though usually, the get the Triforce you'd have to gather the pieces (from Link, Zelda, and Ganon) and then manage to have a balance of Courage, Wisdom, and Power to use it.
The Master Sword can be pulled out by either having enough Hearts, being Worthy to pull it, or having the three pendants associated with it.
So... in a way, disqualifying the Triforce as a way of sealing Ganon makes sense because while it CAN do that. It's not easy to gain the Triforce in the first place usually.
But regardless, you do bring up some good points. The Seven Maidens and Zelda are generally big contenders for sealing Ganon away, plus the while the Twilight Mirror wasn't the best method it was an effective one since he didn't escape till Link was at least a young adult..
Maybe he didn't, remember the teaser trailer for hyrule warriors: age of calamari. With skeletal assumed Ganon. Link never sealed him, just killed his projections.
Unlike the tri-forces of power and wisdom, the tri-force of courage would lend itself best to heroes that aren’t specifically chosen - but have the bravery to step up and prove themselves.
Everyone talks about the Botw link being similar to the Wind waker Link for not having the triforce or not having a relationship with the hero of time ...... but everyone forgets that this already happened in A Link Between Worlds, since link only obtained the triforce by rescuing all the sages (and they almost take it away at the end of the game if it were not for zelda giving him the bow of light) and nowhere in the game is this link said to be related of the hero of time, since in the castle of hyrule we are shown as a legend what happened in Ocarina of Time.

I might be a bit ignorant in saying this, but...: Perhaps the master sword saw that is had no other choice, and allowed botw link to wield it
Could it be that you didn't choose him? The sword was obviously broken by Link despite hurting it, also unlike other incarnations it has to rest... I like the idea that a simple warrior with an uncanny resemblance to the first hero (even being right-handed, which even his reincarnations were not) has broken the will of the master sword And the calamity, probably in underwear
These animations are amazingggggg!!!
What animation
@@dude_man7217 his ones or comics sry
This actually explains a lot and also probably the plot for the next botw
Im pretty sure this comic isnt cannon at all
The Hero of the Wild isn't the hero that Hyrule deserves, nor is he the one Hyrule needs; but he's the only one they've got.
Are you kidding that would be even better. He wasn't the chosen one, he just worked his a** off training to rise to the occasion and saved the world without even being the "chosen one"
Hope Mipha’s Grace can work on others besides Link.😂
Botw link is the chosen hero
Do NOT question the goddess’s decision
Hey, he might not have the spirit of the hero, but he definitely has the spirit to be a hero, just like Wind Waker Link!
Honestly if it turns out link wasn’t the chosen one, then that just makes it all the more better, he is just a crackhead boy, just goes to show that anybody can be the hero if they tried their bestq
Jesus, Sidon is dead!
this
explains
everything
Considering the fact that twilight princess has proven that two Links can “exist” in the same era OoT Link as Hero’s shade and TP Link, I think it’s actually plausible for a new Link to be born in case BoTW Link actually died after the calamity, but now that the original survived there may be no need for a backup so Hylia just scraped her plan B…
Link’s do also seem to have a streak of doing chaotic things like when skyward sword link gave a boy’s love letter to some hand in a toilet or how all links seem to be obsessed with breaking pots, cutting grass, and screaming
The title just sums up my life.
That actually would be an interesting concept, a link that isn't a link. Never played any zelda game so don't know if it happened already.
i heard its was wind waker
Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were just a random island boy and a rancher, respectively.
@@RyuuHatake I know this comment is two years old but The Hero of Twilight is a descendant of The Hero of Time
Are we not gonna talk about how sidon just got f****ing STABBED?*
I mean if that's the case it's actually very comforting to know if you get the right knucklehead the real Link can just... Chill unless he's needed lol
This is so good
Like I said
Destiny didn't choose botw link
He strangled destiny into submission
Hard cut to totk, Zelda knows this information and is WAY more paranoid while she waits for Link to save her
The real hero dying to a normal monster and The absolute beast that heals by eating wood and stops lynels being by bitchslaping them using a pot lid... While naked
I only just realized this means that link isn't technically the hero of legend, well, not the usual legend, anyways...
Sidon : Welp. Guess I'll die.
Alternate title, random guy gets gaslit into thinking he’s a time defying hero, forced into an endless cycle of death and reincarnation (he is literally just a normal guy) and fights the physical embodiment of bad and evil
Omg! I love your dubs! And your voices are so nice!
today is my 18th birthday and this was nice to watch
Happy birt'day, brochacho.
@@wakawoozy7049 thank you brochacho
Happy birthday 🎉🎂
Happy birthday stranger.
@@starkiller1289 thank you stranger
I feel bad for the link who died becouse some random kid just snatched the master sword away from him so that every one thought that the dude with the master sword was the hero but how did he got the sword in the first place then? When he was not the real hero did he saw it on craigslist ore some?
Yo this is crazy, I never thought that I’d see this channel again, I remember back when y’all did Hand plates. that was like my favorite thing to watch, undertale AU’s and AT’s. Now that I just got into BOTW it seems ironic you’d make a video about it
So.. you're telling me BOTW/TOTK Link is essentially the lone wanderer in Fallout.
He's literally just a random dude that, for some reason, has the the power and skills to make every hostile force in Hyrule his bitch.
Yeah.. that tracks, actually.
