I know some people living in the rural might have a different approach when it comes to taking care of a dog but that owner didn't even seem to be one bit concerned that his dog was on the road chasing cars. The dog was also matted 😒

Dogs in the countryside are free,,they roam around freely go to neighbors house and comes comes at night..we only worry if they don't come home for few days

As someone that used to volunteer at animal shelters and even went to another country, seeing this clip really reminds me of my experience. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of people in rural places and villages in southeast asia that doesnt know how to properly take care of their pet, even the health and hygiene.
I live in Indonesia, and when I tell you many people here in rural places know two things about their pet, you give them food and you give them baths. There are lots of cases where the pets (dogs, cats, birds, etc) were even very sick but the owners didnt know about that, they think their pet are just lazy. I have seen so many dogs with lots of matted fur, very long nails, ear infections, etc. I mean, even my grandma once have a dog with the same condition, it was a poodle with a very sad condition.
But there is also many exceptions to these situations. Many times, the pet "owners" are not actually owners, the animal itself just go nearby their home and they took it and give them food. They never in their life have any commitment to keep a pet, they just fed it and the animals decided its their own home now. These people, most of the time, dont have any kind of privilege to go to vet or even have the knowledge about animal shelter, and at the same time they dont want to just shoo them away to the wilderness. Thats what volunteering taught me, never really judge these "owners" when we dont know the full picture yet.
You have some pets to adopt for small fees or even free?
@@peoplebelievealiensarereal I already stopped volunteering, so I dont know, and the shelter that I used to work already moved due to bad financial condition because of the pandemic. So I dont really know the current state.
In the past however, we used to do "free adoption" for any pet owners that can take care of any pets that they want to adopt, or "foster care" if there are volunteers out there that want to foster the animals to help them settle in house settings.
Same here. Some would adopt the pets but most would just look after them by just giving food and water. And what i hate with some people is that, they would have a dog but let it roam on the road. Its so dangerous. And often, some would get hit by a car 😢
What is the way to take care of animals? Do humans dress and leash dogs for self-gratification, train them to fill their loneliness in their own homes, and take care of that? Wouldn't it be fair to take care of them without a leash in the countryside? It seems to be a problem that cannot be known unless the animals say whether it is the mother's answer or not.
@@user-iv2gl6hl3x there's a difference between taking care of pets and letting wild animals live their lives as wild animals.
When owners leash their animals, it doesn't mean it's for self gratification. They do it for the safety of the pets if their pets are not trained enough. Like the one in this clip, the dog just ran around towards any moving car. If the dog died because of a car crash, then its the owner's fault for not keeping them safe by using a leash. It doesn't mean they need to get leashed 24/7. When they are in your home/in your yard, they can run around as much as they want.
There's an exception of that. I have met a lot of great pet owners who didnt put a leash on their animals, but the owner already teach their pets to avoid dangerous stuff like the road, moving vehicles, etc. And yes, dogs and cats can be taught to understand that. In that way, they are trained not to disrupt any activity in public, even they were taught when and where to poo and pee.
So the point is, no. Even in countryside, you should never not leash your pet unless they are already trained to do their activity without any kind of leash or control. Just imagine, if that dog suddenly jump in front of car, like wild deer does, the dog might die. Even crazier, what about the driver? They can be taken by surprise, lose control of their vehicle, and crashed and injured because of a dog that doesn't have a leash or were not taught about avoiding vehicle.
These pets, they are not wild animals. They need to be trained. "No leash" is only applicable to wild animals. Your pet can still injure others even if they and you didnt meant to. If you are going to walk with them and they are already taught on how to walk around without a leash, you still need to bring them. You dont need to use them, but you still need to have them ready. Sometimes its for your pet protection. Imagine if there's another animals that suddenly being aggressive towards your pet, you need to leash your pet first so you can control them.

Of course he cares for the dog 🙄He allowed it to run to the main road full of cars just to chase the other owner’s car, didn’t bother grooming it or be concerned about its safety. Even wanted to whip out his phone to snap a pic with LHR and IU despite the main concern being his own dog being let out dangerously on the road. In my opinion it’s better off with them or another worthy owner, living life so precariously every day is crazy.

This is heartbreaking... There are lots of people who abandon, throw, & abuse animals like they're trash.
I had many dogs & now I have 16 cats, I rescued them from garbage bins, under cars, & inside boxes, hungry, sick & just left to die. Some people are just evil. Bad karma will come go those who don't have compassion to animals.

@@ssj-rose4572 i kinda agree with you...i mean there is a st.bernard next to our house and i feel like the dog is exhausted, they just literally keep the dog inside the whole time and i could hear it barking...but on the other side, there are two local breed dog, they would literally go around the locality the whole time and people would know them lol..they will welcome them and what not...but i feel like they should kinda keep at gate or something because, it's a highway that the dog was found and could easily be run over

Owners are incredibly irresponsible for allowing their pets to run free like that. Even if it’s the country, cars hitting dogs or other incidents still occur. No excuses. Either keep them fenced in or leashed when outside.

Can we be real and talk about how some people still eat dogs in their country? Korea still has a big problem with puppy mills and there are some farmers at there that breed dogs to eat.
