      I agree. Getting in people's spaces in any situation (that's not intimate lol) is beyond rude. Such behavior can trigger some people too, meaning someone invading the space of someone can set off a trauma response (like a flash back type thing). You just never know what people go through.

      I had my hand in my pocket once when some lady was right up on me and I pulled my hand out of my pocket and elbowed her. Just the physics of it caused it. When I turned to say excuse me, she was giving me a dirty look. I didn't say excuse me. I laughed at her and said, you have yourself to blame for standing so close to someone else when there's no reason for it.

      @Jujuoffbeat what's really hilarious is sometimes I know being chatty will do it. No cough required. Especially if it's a dude. I'm always chill but I'll pretend I'm a clueless soccer mom who needs a friend. But yah, cough when I'm really trying to focus. I'll act like I swallowed a bunch of leaves if it's good stuff. No shame. But if you touch my stuff I'm very aggressive. But psychological like DeNiro in taxi driver. I'm at work so don't mess with me.

    What’s up with that Nebraska hat you got? Is that 90s? The Tommie Frazier era? I see so much camo fatigues out here in California, I never buy it. Never really know what to do with it. We are also covered in SPYDER, Vineyard Vines, and 5.11 Tactical out here. I never pick it up - Just don’t have good luck with it. North Face Steep Tech? Never heard of that - I’ll pencil it in. Someone who had a business model of making a $20 profit per item would most likely leave a lot of those items behind. I’d love to see you do an entire thrift haul on a $20 profit with at least an 80% sell through in 90 days.

    • @technsports
      @technsports  7 місяців тому +7

      The $20 profit 14 items a day model is an example of the least resistance way to make $100k per year.
      What about the G/Fore hats I got for $5 & have already sold for $50-$60 and will net me ~$40 profit? That will more offset the $15 profit of the carhartt beanies?
      We are working with averages here. Don't forget.
      Also my particular business model was once upon a time $20 profit, but as my business scaled to 250 items a day my business model became $15 profit with a six month sell through because I wasn't able to find 250 $20 profit items 7 days a week.
      The $20 profit is an example of the least resistance way to reach $100k a year in profit by selling 14 items a day.
      I'm not looking for least resistance, I'm not even looking for $100k.
      I've never been scared of listing, never been scared of shipping, never looked for the least resistance.
      I'm also looking for millions of dollars a year, not $100k.

    • @technsports
      @technsports  7 місяців тому +15

      Who cares. Do we think this is new? They've been doing this for longer than I can remember. Goodwill is not naive, they know what they have and what they are doing. It's our job to beat them and not pass by profitable inventory, that they put on the racks.

    So usually making offers / counteroffers. Im actually pleasantly surprised when a buyer doesnt try to haggle .. i notice you normally dont try to haggle probbaly bc you know its a fair price? And maybe you subscribe tonthe tought that what you put out comes back?
    So if you pay asking more ppl will pay your ask? Idk.. regardless great video again. Thanks bro

    Watsup Tech!? I sincerely hope you see my comment. What are your thoughts on EBay variation listings? Should they be used for certain items, or do you think single listings are better? I personally sell trading cards.

    • @technsports
      @technsports  7 місяців тому +1

      They could be used for certain items, usually more so widgets or new with tags. The major downside to me personally is they don't allow best offer.

    Hi Tech. I have been following your advice the last month diving into clothing for the first time. I have an educational question. I feel I might be doing sell through rate wrong. I looked up the Ecko Untd red hoodie. I show 389 were listed but 2 were sold in 90 days. I have been passing on those. Am I doing sell through wrong. I noticed you grabbed it. I think it is a great hoodie just wanted to make sure I am not passing on items I should be buying. Any advice is appreciated. Love your videos.

      Yes something is wrong.
      Vintage Ecko Hoodie pre-owned has 331 ACTIVE available:
      www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vintage+ecko+hoodie&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_ItemCondition=3000
      Vintage Ecko Hoodie pre-owned SOLD 263 sold:
      www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vintage+ecko+hoodie&_sacat=0&LH_ItemCondition=3000&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
      Which is a great sell through, we can take it a step further because Red ones with the rhino logo are much more desirable:
      54 Active
      www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vintage+ecko+hoodie&_sacat=0&Color=Red&_dcat=155183&LH_ItemCondition=3000&rt=nc
      44 Sold
      www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=vintage+ecko+hoodie&_sacat=0&Color=Red&_dcat=155183&LH_ItemCondition=3000&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
      Which is a fantastic sell through

    Tech I want to know your thinking. Biz model is 20 profit, but carhart benies at 4 with 22 shipped doesn’t fall in the business model. When does it make sense to break to biz model?

    • @technsports
      @technsports  7 місяців тому +1

      Good question.
      What about the G/Fore hats I got for $5 & have already sold for $50-$60 and will net me ~$40 profit? That way more offset the $15 profit of the carhartt beanies?

    Great video. I also shop the way you do, way before I thought of reselling. I just loved and love shopping. When the clothes are brand new with tags, how do you clean them? Because I've seen you say you wash all the clothes. Also some hats, you are going to sell under your $25 sale price, do you consider them extra credit? Thanks in advance.

    • @technsports
      @technsports  7 місяців тому

      I wash all pre-owned clothing.
      For some of the hats that sell for less, it's all about averages. What about the 10-15 hats that will sell for $40? Or the G/Fore hats that will (and have already sold for $50-$60?
      Everything averages out.
